Iberostar Selection Playa de Muro Village

Repeat visitors of Iberostar Playa and they do not disappoint as usual. Please be prepared for many children since it is a family hotel. We love that the hotel is small and not crowded, while the experience is that of a 5 star resort. Food is a very strong point in this hotel as well as animation for the younger kids. Beach-pool-room-restaurants-bar are all within a minute walking which we love, so you don’t not loose your vacation time walking around a huge resort. Well managed, clean and with hard working staff this hotel is a gem for our family. Special thanks to Andrea guest relations who is so kind and efficient, Andreas from main restaurant is also a wonderful professional who together with the rest of the restaurant managers takes excellent care of the dining experience. Also special thanks to Natalia, Maria, and whole bar team! Kitchen staff is excellent and always ready to take care of any request you might have. Unfortunately the rising price of this hotel might be an issue in the future, since it has become very high especially in high season. Overall thank you Iberostar for a wonderful stay one more year in Playa De Muro village.

We had a great two weeks at this hotel end June/beginning July. The location is perfect for the fairly narrow but sandy beach, and we spent so much time in the shallow waters of the sea, it was amazing! The hotel is of a high standard, beds comfortable, room modern and like all areas of the hotel very clean (thanks to Magarita for looking after our room). Only slight issue was the wardrobe did not accommodate long dresses but I managed as I had brought some hangers and could hang them on the wooden fixture on the wall, the hotel hangers were not removable from the wardrobe so not sure how I would have done this otherwise. Anyway, a relatively small point in the scheme of things. The main restaurant was fabulous! Absolutely something for everyone, with different themes each evening. The Emblat lunch restaurant near the beach was very good too but understandably had a bit less choice being outdoors and smaller. Carmen Garmundi (sp?) looked after us very well for lunch, but to be honest we could not fault any of the staff at the hotel, all so friendly and helpful. The pools were wonderful, perfect temperature and big enough to do some nice lengths when the pool was less busy with children etc. Reserving sunbeds is actively discouraged and we never had a problem finding beds after breakfast, which was a nice change. This is definitely a hotel more geared to families, which we were aware of but picked for its location, so unlikely to revisit unless at a less busy time of year as it was a little too busy for us but it seemed pretty perfect for families. All in all, a really impressive hotel, not the first Iberostar we have stayed in and will not be the last.

Wa nice, but for the money we payed did not reach the expectations

We keep coming back to Iberostar. This hotel is by far the best hotel in Majorca. We always miss Majorca and specifically this hotel, and we always feel like we have to come back. We have been coming here since 2019, and it’s wonderful to see that they are constantly improving the service, food, facilities etc. It’s truly impressive! To be honest, there have always been ups and downs with the food before, but they have really improved it and put a lot of thought into it. My kids are older now, and they love it even more. The entertainment team has grown a lot compared to before, and they offer so many activities for both kids and adults. I also really love that this place has such a small, cute, and relaxed setting. It never feels overly crowded. I’m still staying at the hotel right now and just wanted to share how impressed I am! You will never regret choosing this place.

Lovely hotel, lovely staff and right on the beach. We were upgraded free of charge when we arrived. The room was great with a very large wrap around balcony . The beach is thin but water is clear and shallow so its ideal for kids. Really nice place would recommend it.
