Iberostar Waves Alcudia Park

We stayed 4 nights half board as a family of 3 including a 3 year old. We can't fault this hotel. The compact layout is perfect for a family with young kids, nice to have the slides. We like the setting of the family room with the sofa beds area and separate main room. Always busy at meal times but never had an issue finding a table shortly and staff are efficient at setting the tables as well as with drinks orders. Complimentary drinks and pastries for my husband on his birthday (I didn't request) were a nice touch. Lovely beach. We all loved our stay (this was our second visit after being here in June 2025) and would happily stay again.

This is our second time staying at this hotel. Unfortunately, I never got around to writing a review after our first visit. The hotel is very family-friendly and especially well suited for families with children. This year, they opened a new children’s area, and there is also a kids’ club and evening entertainment for children. The food is good, with a great selection of drinks available as part of the all-inclusive package. This year, they also opened an additional café in the lobby, where some wonderful ladies work and provide excellent service. The hotel grounds are kept exceptionally clean and well maintained. Even after a storm, everything is cleaned up and back in order within about an hour. I would especially like to mention how friendly and helpful the entire staff is. They are always ready to assist with any question or request, from the reception and lobby team to the kitchen staff. I would like to give special thanks to the chef, Vanessa, who is always so positive and wonderful with the children, Pedro Luna, Adriana from the entertainment team, Pep and the entire reception team, Tomeo, and of course the whole hotel team. We had a wonderful stay and would be very happy to return to this hotel with our family again.

We stayed at this hotel twice. Two years ago, we had a really great experience — the food was very good, the entertainment was enjoyable, and overall the hotel offered a high standard. Unfortunately, this year the experience was completely different. The quality has noticeably declined, and it feels like the hotel has started cutting costs in many areas. The food and entertainment were not nearly as good as before, and the overall standard was much lower. It’s disappointing to see such a big change in just two years. Considering the current price, we definitely don’t think the hotel offers good value for money anymore. Based on our experience this year, we would not choose to return.

I stayed here last week with my husband and two boys (the eldest aged 4 and the youngest aged 8 months). Upon arrival after a long, late transfer, we were greeted with such friendly hospitality by Kevin. I work in the travel industry and have checked in to hundred of hotels - I must say that this is one of the warmest check in experiences I've ever had. We were welcomed with glasses of champagne, and snacks/drinks for the boys. Kevin's enthusiasm, thoroughness, and sincerity shone, despite the late hour - he is an asset to this hotel. The pros of this hotel hugely outweigh the cons, and I have listed my highlights below: - We stayed in a Junior Suite, which was large enough to comfortably fit us in. It was cleaned to a high standard every day. - The pool and slides are brilliant for young kids. We never had an issue getting a sunbed, despite other comments suggesting that this was a problem. From what I could gather, they lay out around a third of beds for early risers, then unlock further stacks as and when later risers require them. - The entertainment is almost nonstop from 7am-11pm, and the team is incredibly energetic and enthusiastic. They all seem to speak multiple languages fluently and always included everyone. I am sorry that I can't remember of the lady who leads the fit and fun classes but her circuits, aqua fit and Pilates sessions were brilliant. Twice a week she leads paddleboard yoga on the pool, which I would have loved to have tried if time had allowed! There are daytime shows, a foam party one day, blow up waterslides another day, DJs at the pool, characters walking around, bingo sessions, and fun evening shows. - The food really is delicious for a 4-star buffet. We went half board, which is technically breakfast and dinner, but the hotel was super at letting us switch to lunch most days so we could eat out at nearby restaurants at dinner time. There are lots of nice places to eat within walking distance - I highly recommend the tex mex. Best fajitas of my life! - Also nearby is the aptly named Fun World. It's like a soft play on steroids! It's 11EUR entry plus 2EUR for socks (which you can reuse). My four year old loved it here - it's open from 6-midnight every night so the blow ups don't get to hot, and they serve cocktails for the grown ups! We also spent a morning at Alcudia Old Town, which was beautiful. A taxi there took 9 minutes - we got a bus home as the taxis returning were very scarce but it only took 20 minutes and stopped right outside the hotel. - There is a very useful recycling area for beach toys / blow ups etc - we were gutted to only discover this on the last day but donated our floaties at the end of the week. It is near the spa behind the main pool. We would absolutely consider returning to the Iberostar Waves Alcudia Park. However, I must mention two situations that were the only let downs of the holiday: - Our room was on the fifth floor but there was no lock on the balcony door and our 4 year old could easily open it himself. This caused a lot of anxiety and we ended up all sharing a room to ensure he didn't get up in the night and go out alone. - Twice the wind blew parasols out of their stands. These are extremely heavy and it was extremely lucky no one was hurt. The first time, it dragged a (thankfully empty) pram about 5 metres, and the second time it was mere centimetres from landing on my 8 month old in the baby pool. This must be addressed before it causes a serious accident. I did see some maintenance workers checking the bases on our third day, so hopefully they're on it. All in all, a wonderful week of sunshine and heaps of fun. Thanks to all of the staff for helping us make some solid core memories.
