Rooms were lovely although I think designed by a man. No where to sit and put on your makeup and no privacy in the bathroom. I know the rooms are amongst the trees but to many spiders ever day in our room. Pool was freezing, not enjoyable at all. Fantastic selection of food for every meal. Staff were lovely, friendly and professional. Loved the buggies due getting around, was good when I couldn't face the hills

Really happy with my overall experience at the Iberostar Waves Cala Domingos. The staff are very helpful and easy to communicate with, the hotel in general is very clean including the rooms being tidied each day. There is soo much to do on site including mini golf, splash park, private cove beach for hotel users only and a play park. Be mindful of when you go as we experienced a few rainy days which really highlighted the lack of indoor entertainment that was available to us, trying to keep a child occupied in the small bungalow when it rained all day proved difficult. There is also a bus stop that picks you up directly outside of the hotel which takes you to many other parts of the island which we made use of. There is a wide range of drinks and snacks and filling picky foods that were available at all times up until the evening, so when they say all inclusive they really mean it. The quality of alcohol available wasn’t cheap stuff and tasted lovely, there is fizzy drinks, beer, and ice cream on tap and a variety of bottles of bubbly accessible at all parts of the day. The complex is big and therefore you have to travel around on carts provided to get from one side of the site to the other. We had no problems with these and found they ran very regularly, we waited no more than 5 mins for one. All sorts of food is provided at dinner time including pizzas, pasta, and various meats. I did however find they had a strong preference for sea foods which is great if you like it however it’s not my preference. I also found it didn’t differ much from day to day. If I was to suggest one thing that needed some improvement it would be the kids entertainment. I feel they could have provided a wider variety of well thought out and engaging activities. My daughter is a little noise sensitive and I found the staff there to be excessively loud which really scared her. I would also suggest that the single beds should not be pushed together to form a double unless securely attached. I bed share with my four year old and our sleep quality was poor because the bed kept separating in the middle, it also resulted in her falling and banging her head on the hard floor on one occasion.

Travelling as a couple for a one-week all-inclusive stay, we came away feeling a bit mixed about this hotel. Admittedly, the weather was not on our side for most of the week, which definitely highlighted some of the negatives. The biggest issue for us was how isolated the hotel is. In good weather this may not feel as noticeable, but when you’re limited by rain and wind, there really isn’t much nearby or within easy walking distance. The resort itself also seems to lack toilets in convenient places — for example there are none in the gym area, and the one toilet on the beach was out of service during our stay. The gym itself also had no floor mats, which felt like an odd omission. Storage in the rooms was very limited too, especially for a week-long stay as a couple. We had to request a clothes airer, and there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Apparently kettles are available from reception with a deposit, but this wasn’t communicated to us beforehand. Similarly, there was no bottled water in the room on arrival — you’re expected to use the water refill stations around the resort, but again this wasn’t explained at check-in. The buggy transport around the resort was also quite sporadic, which became frustrating at times given the size/layout of the complex. Another thing to mention is that this hotel is VERY family-oriented. Children everywhere. If you’re a couple looking for a quieter or more relaxed atmosphere, I honestly wouldn’t recommend it. That said, there were definitely positives too. The all-inclusive food offering was good overall, with plenty of choice and somewhere always available to grab food between 10am and 9.30pm. The staff were generally helpful enough, the rooms were clean, and the Wi-Fi worked really well throughout the resort. A personal highlight: the free-flowing Freixenet and the fact you can get Cornettos on the all-inclusive definitely helped soften some of the weather-related misery! Overall, not a terrible stay, but probably better suited to families than couples.
