This hotel is ideally situated, it's a short 5min walk to the beach/bars/restaurants and we had a sea veiw room. The veiws did not disappoint and the aircon worked well. The hotel is very clean and most of the staff are lovely and extremely helpful aspecially reception and bar/waiting staff. The rooms are cleaned daily, fresh towels when needed and the maids did a thorough job. The pool area was perfect for us, it was relaxed with ambient music and the odd quick activity and we spent alot of time there enjoying the lovely pool, recharging our batteries and sunbathing. The food was typical ai but we did find there wasn't enough fresh fruit on offer at breakfast although at lunch it was available in abundance. The staff were very accommodating when we requested fruit at breakfast and promptly provided it. We have some allergies and medical dietary requirements so we did appreciate them providing this although would have preferred to have a better morning choice and fresh fruit juices rather than the syrup type that was on offer from the machine. We did find the odd evening meal to suit our tastes/requirements but we also ate out alot and the places we ate at were mostly exellent. The snack bar was by far the best option for food for us with fresh fruit and salad, bugers, pizza ect but did have to chuckle at the "British sausages" which seemed to be boiled instead of grilled/oven baked as British sausages should be. Very unappealing in the way they were cooked but at least they do try. The WiFi kept logging out which was a little annoying but it was available throughout the hotel and worked well. This is our 3rd visit to the resort of ca'n picafort and loved it as much as our previous visits so thank you to the staff at Markus Spa that made our stay enjoyable aspecially the reception and bar staff.

The hotel was in an ok location, about a 8 minute walk from the beach and all the restaurants and shops. The atmosphere was dead, I think this may have been because we are English and it was very focused on other European guests. The staff were lovely though, friendly and polite. The bar and restaurant staff kept up with keeping the pool area tidy and the your table clear at the restaurant. The room we were put in was tiny, 3 people, an adult and two children aged 17 and 14. Two single beds basically pushed together but made up as singles then a bedside table and another single bed which was pushed against the wall. Big wardrobe space which was good. The suitcases didn’t fit under the beds so had to figure that out with the very little space we had. No kettles or cups in the rooms this would cost €40 euros for a 2 week stay. The food was erm different. The breakfast was a typical all inclusive breakfast. Lunch and dinner was where we struggled. Pigs trotters and pigs knuckles. Now I’m not a fussy eater and love trying new foods but that was a no. There was paella every night which were nice, there was a pasta and then sauces or meatballs every night but these were not great, either really salty or a usual taste and greasy. They didn’t really cater to younger kids either that would be fussier. There was a great selection of salad ingredients to make your own salads though and that’s basically what my daughter lived off. Puddings were always some sort of cake, and lots of jelly style of pudding and fruit. Little pots of ice cream were available too. I can’t comment on the spa because the day we decided to go as the weather was rubbish, it was closed. But another couple said it was nice enough. Cleanliness of the hotel was adequate. No complaints except being given a towel that had holes in.
