Ilusion Markus & Spa

Wanted last minute sunshine without breaking the bank. Went here for 4 days, managed to dodge all the rain and had 26 degrees and glorious sunshine for the whole stay. Fair distance from the airport. Check in was fairly quick. Slept ok, bed surprisingly comfortable. Room ok, clean, air con a bit noisy but worked well. Breakfast ok, few times we had hash browns. Lunch and dinner was a hit or miss, same with if the food was hot but was able to manage. Snacks a hit or miss but on 2 of the days enjoyed this more than lunch. Drinks, beer ok, cocktails lethal as the machine didn't mix well. Coffee machine was ok. Pool clean but looks tired, needs a refit. Sunbeds were a bit minging looking, could do with new ones. Staff very nice and attentive, they worked hard. No much in the way of entertainment but really close to the beach which is a great walk. McDonald's is just across the road and a supermarekt is close. Local cigarette shop literally next door. Asked for late check out which I got but felt 60 euros a bit steep however would have meant missing out on a shower before getting picked up at 6pm, opted to pay and get more hours getting sun by the pool. Would go back if the price is right but I've booked somewhere closer to the airport already for next year.

Staff were nice, pool was nice, clean rooms. Didn't visit spa. Food not for us. Breakfast was OK. Cocktails atrocious... made in a daiquiri machine... so pina colada daiquiri... sex on the beach daiquiri. Tasted like pure syrup and undrinkable for me, milkshakes too syrupy too. Payed extra for sea view room it was beautiful but you don't get sun and it can get a bit chilly. If it rained there was nothing overhead to sit out and cover us as its like top floor but level 6, so not entorely sure if its worth the couple pound extra. The walls are paper thin you can hear EVERYTHING from ur neighbours bonking to drawing their curtains. 😅 The shower flooded the whole floor like the water didn't go down as quick as it came out. Seems like it's been a long time problem as floor you can see is warped/stained. We also had a lot of ants in our room. Great area if I had to to stay again i wouldn't go all inclusive and would probably rather a pool view room.

It was an intimate hotel; there weren’t crowds of guests or long lines for meals, and we always managed to find some free lounge chairs by the pool. We were pleasantly surprised that, even though the pool wasn’t very large, there was a lifeguard on duty there every day. Overall, the staff was very polite and friendly, especially the waiters—they were hardworking and made sure the tables were kept tidy during meals, as well as at the bar and by the pool. We felt very comfortable during our two-week stay. The hotel may not be modern, and it would be nicer if the lounge chairs and umbrellas by the pool were replaced or if the landscaping around the pool were better maintained, but a big plus for the cleanliness of the hotel, the availability of snacks and drinks, and above all, the courteous staff.

Superb holiday at this charming hotel, slightly dated but more than made up for by the excellent, attentive, friendly staff. Particular credit to young waiter/bar man Manuel a personable, professional young man, thank you.

Had an amazing week at Ilusion Markus and Spa the room was lovely with a side sea view and cleaned to a high standard every day. The food was amazing we had a different choice everyday. All the staff at this hotel were so lovely and a special mention to Valeria our entertainment host she was the best 😍 , enjoyed our Aqua Gym and card games and quiz night she always had time to come and have a chat . And thank you to the maintenance staff that helped us get out the lift quickly as we got stuck in it 😃 Had the best holiday and look forward to coming back again. Thank you to you all x
