Our Stay at INMOOD Alcunada – A Very Positive Experience! Our stay at INMOOD Alcunada was a very positive experience overall! The hotel is located in a very quiet area, just a short five-minute drive from the Port of Alcudia. When I say “quiet”, I mean the complete absence of bars and entertainment venues immediately outside the hotel. In other words, apart from staying at the hotel and enjoying drinks in the various bar areas, there isn’t really anywhere you can walk to directly outside, other than a nearby restaurant and another hotel a short distance up the road. For us, the biggest drawback was the lack of atmosphere in the evenings. Other than some background music and a low-key entertainer for around an hour on Saturday evening, there wasn’t much else going on. This may, of course, be exactly what some people are looking for, but we felt the hotel could benefit from a little more evening entertainment or atmosphere. That said, despite this, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms, although relatively compact, are modern and very comfortable. Ours had a lovely double bed, air conditioning, a room safe, tea and coffee-making facilities, and a small fridge containing a few complimentary drinks. There was also a good shower and a small but functional balcony, although the deckchairs could definitely be improved! The hotel itself is spacious, very well run and exceptionally clean. The staff are polite, hardworking and efficient. The reception area is particularly spacious and comfortable, and the young Mallorcan gentleman on reception was an absolute joy to talk to — he had a great sense of humour and was a real credit to his parents in terms of his manners and attitude. The dining area for both breakfast and the evening meal was excellent. There was a very good selection of food and drinks, and the quality was consistently good. The dining areas are clean and spacious, and there is a lovely outdoor area where you can eat. This was especially pleasant at breakfast when the temperature was a little cooler. During our stay it was very hot, so the outdoor area wasn’t quite as appealing in the evening! Fortunately, the indoor dining area is air-conditioned, so you can take your pick. The pool areas are spacious, and there was very little concern about securing a sunbed at “silly o’clock” in the morning! The pool and towel attendant was a top man — very helpful and chatty, even though he spoke very little English. The pool areas are well maintained. Yes, there is some discolouration around the edges of the pools, but this shouldn’t be confused with a lack of cleanliness. The pool cleaners were out every morning, and the pools were thoroughly cleaned and maintained. This really is a very relaxing hotel — ideal for couples who are “in the mood” for a peaceful break! Personally, I particularly enjoyed the indoor spa facilities. The indoor pool was great for a swim in slightly cooler water, and there was also a cold plunge pool. The whole area was excellent, with some wonderfully comfortable loungers — perfect for relaxing. The hotel also provides a courtesy minibus service to the harbour, running four times a day. This was usually driven by Pedro, another lovely chap who was always friendly and helpful. I can’t really say much more in terms of positives, other than to mention the public bus service. There is a bus stop just 50 metres from the hotel, with regular services into the Port of Alcudia and onwards to Alcudia Town. The buses generally run hourly throughout the day and into the evening. It’s a pleasant, convenient and inexpensive way to get around. So, would we return? Yes, we certainly enjoyed our stay. If you’re looking for a modern, clean and comfortable hotel in a peaceful location, with excellent food, friendly staff and great facilities, INMOOD Alcunada is certainly worth considering. Just be aware that the immediate area is very quiet, and the evening entertainment at the hotel is limited. A big thank you to the whole team at INMOOD Alcunada for making our stay such an enjoyable one. 😊

Unexpected perfection. This beautiful adults only hotel is the best ever for relaxing. 4 swimming pools, great gym, so relaxing. The buffet breakfast is one of the best I have experienced and the staff are amazing too. Upper pool bar is a great place to chill, Mercedes and her colleagues are so entertaining and attentive. The housekeeping staff are excellent and nothing is too much trouble for them. Maintenance crew are spot one especially as we had a problem with out bathroom flooding and the toilet needing attention, all sorted in rapid time. This hotel has the most welcoming staff in every department and yes we will return, thank you so much for making our stay so relaxing.

My partner and I had a lovely 5-night stay at the end of June at Inmood Aucanada. Our overall experience was great, with just a couple of disappointing experiences at the end of our stay, and a few general things which could be improved. Location The hotel is in a great location with stunning views over the bay. It's definitely one for you if you'd rather be out of the main hustle and bustle and are looking for a quiet stay. If you want to be close to Alcudia town and beach though it might not be the place for you, though the bus service to the port and the town centre runs right past the hotel so is a great way to go a bit further afield! Room We stayed in a garden view room as we wanted to save a little money rather than opt for the sea view. Our room opened out onto small terrace (in place of a balcony) with a table and chairs and a drying rack for our swimwear. Beyond the terrace was a garden which was shared with a number of other rooms. Thankfully all other guests were respectful of privacy and no one came around to our side of the garden or to our terrace. The bed in the room was huge, and very comfortable. The air conditioning worked brilliantly and we also had a ceiling fan so we were nice and cool at night. The shower was great and we had plenty of hot water on demand. My only comment would be that the shower door didn't quite close properly and there was no bath mat or barrier so the bathroom floor would get quite wet whenever we showered. The bathroom door was a wooden slatted sliding door so provided some privacy but not a lot. Was fine for us but if you're not very comfortable with the person you're sharing the room with it's worth being aware of! Food The food in the main buffet at breakfast and dinner was delicious, with so much variety and some delicious local foods to choose from. I'm lactose intolerant but chose to just manage this myself rather than involve the staff. I had emailed reception a fortnight before we arrived to ask about food labelling and dairy alternatives but never heard back which was a shame; I didn't chase this up though, which is on me. At breakfast there was a great variety of dairy free milks provided and usually some dairy free yogurt as well. Generally speaking the food in the buffet was poorly labelled, with things either not being labelled or the labels being in the wrong place/things being moved around. So, if you are a vegan or have an allergy you will probably need to ask for help each morning/evening with identifying suitable options. We stayed on the all-inclusive package, so had lunch at the pool bar most days. Their menu did have allergen information which was really helpful, and the staff were great. A big shout out from us in particular to Vanessa and Jose who were always so friendly and attentive! We do think some new staff were being trained and we did get brought the wrong food/drinks a few times (both at the pool bar and the main buffet restaurant) which wasn't a big deal, but did start to wear thin towards the end of the holiday. 'Gastronomic experience' & extra charges As mentioned at the start of the review there were a couple of experiences at the end of our stay which were a bit of a let down. As all-inclusive guests we were told by reception on check in that we could book in for a 'gastronomic experience' at their a la carte restaurant on one night, which would include a welcome cocktail, a discussion with the chef about our preferences and, by all accounts, a fancy meal. We booked this for our last night and regretted it when we realised what was really on offer. The meal was at the pool bar, but a few tables had been laid out nicely with tablecloths etc. and they had our reservation so we were definitely in the right place. When we came to be served though, the menu was just the same pool bar menu that we'd been ordering from every lunch time throughout our stay. I suspect other guests might have realised this wasn't going to be what it was advertised as, since we were the only ones there (quite awkward as there was also a DJ playing loud club music…pretty much just for us). We made the best of it, but it really wasn't what was advertised or promised. The other let down was that when we came to check out, we were told we had additional charges to pay. We had ordered a couple of dishes from the pool bar that incurred an extra charge on top of the all inclusive package and, both times, had paid the difference at the end of our meal. When we came to check out however, we were told that there were 2 orders of one dish still to pay for (even though we only ordered it once and had already paid) and that there were some smoothies to pay for as well which had been charged to our room. As all inclusive guests we wore wristbands at all times, and also gave our room number and signed for everything we ordered at the bar. Smoothies were definitely an included drink, and we had ordered plenty of them which were not charged to the room, and yet when we challenged reception over this error they doubled down and insisted 'not everything is included in all inclusive you know' and wanted us to pay. In the end we refused to pay for the smoothies and paid again for one of the dishes we had already paid for, because we needed to go. The error was disappointing but the attitude of the colleague on reception even more so, and it left a sour impression at the end of an otherwise pleasant relaxing holiday.
