Marins Suites

Went to Marins suites in October, for a four night break , this is a very luxurious hotel and complex which I would highly reccommend, The staff on reception were oustanding and so kind and helpful, as I had actually booked the wrong room , but after two nights, they did upgrade us, to the suite which I thought I had booked , so thankyou to the amazing gentleman on reception for so kindly doing that, thankyou . this is a massive hotel complex , with the adults only suites, on one side and the family areas on the other side , its just beautiful. there is good entertainment on every night , the kids just love it ,the pools in both areas are amazing and theres no rush for sun loungers at all , at any time of the day .when we arrived, all the place was decorated ready for Halloween , it looked absolutley amazing ,I was told they have a lot of fun on Halloween .I cannot fault marins suites at all , both suites we had were incredible, so spacious and spotless,there are some beautiul bars and lounges to sit and enjoy the shows, the staff are all so friendly and helpful , the ladies cleaning the rooms , keep the rooms spotless and are so discreet in their manner , lovely nespresso coffee machines in the suites, I would highly reccommend marins playa in whichever part you decide to stay in .

Overall, has to be a 5, my feedback and comments below are just some little suggestions to make the experience there even better. Firstly, the staff are all excellent especially Mari and Deseree. If you are planning lunch at the Hotel, which comes from the sister hotel over the road, you might as well book a Cabana for the day as if you spend £25 Euros on food & drink, you can have the bed for free, no brainer really. Worth pointing out that everything you would pay for at the hotel regards food and drinks, etc is all added onto your room, after you have signed their I-pad. You settle when you leave. Lots of Germans at the hotel, they are harmless, but still cant say please or thank you when you are courteous to them, and nor can they speak, or attempt to say anything in Spanish. Rooms and balcony's are all excellent, all facing the beach. If you like the sand and sea, then you have to be prepared to have a little walk into Calla Millor for that, as it's all rocky near the hotel. Local Restaurants all very good, take a walk into Cala Bona and take a right after Levante Hotel, there is a great selection of small restaurants there, Alma Mia has the best Pizzas by far. Stanleys a must as is the Greek just opposite the hotel. Breakfast is basic but enough and very clean. And finally, some little suggestions. 1) Although the staff are very helpful, you should have a reception, every hotel that size should provide one. 2) Check in is not straight forward, especially if you are left to find your own way over to the Suites. We also had to head back over there in a massive shower to get picked up on our return home. Some umbrellas by the door would have been handy. Not nice going home sodden through. 3) Bathroom towels really are for children and although I appreciate everything stated about the environment, they are a little small and thin. 4) Replacing beach towels is also a bit of a finger in the wind as to how you do it. Best advice is to ask a cleaner in the morning, you can usually find one on your floor. They do a great job and its great you can request your room to be cleaned as and when suits you. We pressed the make up room button every other day or so. No need to have it done daily to be honest unless you are lazy. 5) Entertainment stopped after 5 days of our holiday, shame, as it was still going on everywhere else, and we never fancied going to the sister hotel for obvious reasons....we specifically chose an Adults only hotel. 6) Unfortunately, you still get the selfish people who want the same sunbeds every day and 'bend' the rules somewhat about reserving beds. 7) Very little shaded areas, not a massive amount the hotel can do, but if they could, would be great for those who are not sunbathers. Summary is a great hotel, in an ideal position, with very friendly staff, who are always smiling and doing their best for you. With the I-pad paying system, you cant tip unless you physically do it, which we did, however, we didn't once see anyone else do it. Seems to easy to just sign and say thanks. Rooms to a high standard and kept spotless for you. Thanks you to all the staff, sorry we couldn't name you all, but you are all fantastic.

Just got back from a 5 night stay, and what a wonderful stay it was. The hotel is in a fantastic location for both Cal Bona and Cala Millor. We stayed B&B and whilst not the biggest buffet you will see at breakfast, we found our needs met more than adequately. Omelettes made to order, were very nice. There is a relaxed, chilled vibe around the pools and best of all, no sun-bed wars. We turned up at the pool at 15.30pm on our first day, and still had a choice of beds to choose from. Rooms are small but nicely furnished 7406 had a lovely big walk in shower with good water pressure and a very comfortable bed. Coming back to an air conditioned room after a hot day around the pool is bliss. What really made this hotel was the staff, lovely lady on Reception, the cleaning staff who made up our room every day, the breakfast team all are a credit to this hotel. But the staff who make your stay special are the bar/poolside personnel constantly back and forth with drinks to your sun bed or serving lunch in the covered seating area. Special mentions must go to Sergei and Desiree, excellent service with a smile. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. See you next year.

We’ve just returned from a week’s stay at Marin Suites hotel adults only. The most amazing stay in a luxurious hotel. The sea views were out of this world 🥰 We decided to do half board- the breakfast was perfect, lots of choice with good options for dairy free (alpro yoghurt, oat milk and lots of fruit) The lunch menu/snack bar has plenty of choice and we decided to eat here most days when we were by the pool. The location is excellent with the beach nearby and plenty of shops and bars/restaurants. The only thing I would change- vegetarian options at dinner time were so limited- mainly to salad. This meant that we did go out for a couple of nights to cater for myself which is a shame when you have already paid for dinner. A special thank you to the pool bar and restaurant staff, Xisca, Mari, Sergi and a tall brunette lady, who work so hard with very long hours ! We will definitely be back!

Check in Very welcoming but check in is at the main hotel and you have a trek through their pool area and across the road to your room, but the receptionist walked us over, explaining facilities etc to us. We arrived early due to a very early flight and were pleased our room was ready for us. Rooms Stunning views, comfy beds, use of fridge for your own stuff and a bottle of water on arrival which was appreciated. Tea and coffee as well. The safe was free to use. They were small but absolutely fine. My only criticism is there is no wardrobe, just an open hanging space and limited drawer space too. If you have long dresses the wardrobe isn't full length so mine got creased at the bottom which isn't good. Lovely overhead shower, good water temperature and pressure. Thin walls, you can hear your neighbours. Not great as we had a very loud talking German lady next to us that woke us at 1.30am and then again at 6am! Pool towels are supposed to be changed ever 3/4 days along with fresh bed sheets. Ours were changed on day 3 and then not again, we were there for 11 days. I guess we could have requested it but we kept thinking we would get left fresh ones that day and in the end it wasnt worth it as we were at the end of our holiday. To be fair, whilst rooms were clean on arrival the maids not great on our floor. It was a quick make the bed every day and that was it. Breakfast You can sit outside or inside. It was a small buffet but everything you need. The staff need to be a bit more on the ball at filling up orange juice etc. Omelette made to your taste were lovely. Husband particularly enjoyed the fresh honeycomb but they only had this on a couple of days. Pool No reserving of sunbeds in the main. There were the odd ones that had to have their specific position each day and would put towels down at 8.15 earliest but there was plenty spare until around 11am and then again in the afternoon. Balenese beds, good value but a lot are in the shade from trees so choose wisely depending if you like the sun! Pool staff amazing. Always walking round so you could order drinks from sunbeds and brought them to you. They were super friendly and hard working. However they need to sort out the music playlist. It wasn't loud, just right but unbelievably repetitive. I never want to hear The Weekend - Save your Tears or Ed Sheeran and Adele again! One day they played Save Your Tears over 15 times! Please, please sort this out! The hotel is in a fabulous position between Cala Bona and Cala Millor. There are plenty of places to eat and drink out and a nice atmosphere in general. We would definitely come back to Marins Suites but it dropped a star for me due to wardrobe/drawer space, repetitive music and I feel there should be some sort of reception there, instead of having to use the hotel over the road. Oh and just an add on - try a Mallorcan Spritz from the bar. What a stunning refreshing drink!
