Lovely hotel and holiday — badly let down by handling of a huge corporate group We have genuinely had a lovely week at Protur Biomar and, until the final couple of days, would have had very little negative to say. The hotel is excellent, the food has been very good, the atmosphere relaxed and international, and one of the things we particularly enjoyed was how peaceful everything felt. Unfortunately, our final two days have left a very different impression. On Friday, a very large corporate group of approximately 200 people arrived for what appears to be a pre-planned weekend convention. Suddenly the restaurant and communal areas felt more like a conference venue than the relaxing holiday hotel we had been enjoying all week. To be clear, our complaint is not that the hotel accepts group or corporate bookings. Of course it can. Our complaint is the complete lack of transparency and consideration shown to the other paying holiday guests. This was clearly a major, organised event that the hotel knew about well in advance. Why could guests not simply have been informed at breakfast that a large group would be arriving and that the restaurant would be exceptionally busy that evening? We could easily have chosen to eat earlier and avoided the sudden influx. A little communication and sensible management would have made an enormous difference. What made matters worse was the response when we raised our concerns at reception. Rather than acknowledging the impact or attempting to help, the response was dismissive and essentially amounted to the hotel being entitled to accommodate whoever it wished. That wasn’t the point, and it was an unnecessarily arrogant response to a perfectly reasonable concern. We leave on Sunday morning, as does the corporate group, so unfortunately this means the peaceful hotel we enjoyed for most of our holiday has effectively disappeared for the remainder of our stay. This is particularly frustrating because we really have enjoyed the Biomar and would otherwise have been writing an extremely positive review. The food, facilities and general experience for most of the week have been excellent. Protur should absolutely be able to host conferences and large groups. But if it chooses to combine a major corporate event with hundreds of ordinary holidaymakers, it also has a responsibility to manage that properly and communicate honestly with its leisure guests. A disappointing end to what had otherwise been a genuinely lovely holiday.

The hotel was excellent, the staff were exceptional, the rooms cleaned daily, all in all a very pleasant experience. Air con satisfactory, rooms very good, tv fine, highly recommend this hotel. The venue is brilliant, near a wonderful beach, free bikes, would definitely come again. The only reason I’m not giving the hotel 5 stars is the alternative restaurants were very poor. Goa Indian restaurant was awful and Cardamom wasn’t much better. All that said the main restaurant was very good indeed. We went all inclusive and the cocktails were fantastic. So high score for me apart from the alternative restaurants, avoid, because the main restaurant is exceptional for buffet style service, deserts unbelievably good. Tip top

Fabulous 10 days at this hotel. Lovely staff, especially Aora on reception and Honza who was in charge of poolside activities, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We went half board and were delighted with the quality and variety of food on offer, especially the range of desserts at night. My hubby has problem with gluten, dairy and soya but the food was well labelled and he was able to enjoy a wide variety of the food on offer. Food was varied every evening. Entertainment was provided every night, some shows better than others, especially The Velvet Supremes and the African Acrobats, both acts excellent. Room overlooking pool, spacious and very clean. Friendly, helpful cleaning staff. Actually all the staff at this hotel went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Would we go again……………….in a heartbeat. 💗

Last night of our 10 day vacation on an All Inclusive basis. Cannot fault anything. Rooms clean with towels changed every day, beds made. Had a swim up room, on reflection didn’t really need it. There is a children’s pool, a mixed pool, Adults only and an indoor pool with plenty of sun loungers available. Food is buffet style, plenty of choice and service was excellent. A nice 10 minute walk to the beach, passing plenty of shops and eating establishments. TUI offer plenty of excursions. We visited Marineland and Aquarium in Palma, both well worth a visit. Daytime activities and evening entertainment programme, bike hire available at the hotel. The children’s club was popular and staff encouraged children participation. A very enjoyable time, just ended too quickly. Money well spent.

We returned to this hotel after staying last year at the end of June as we enjoyed our stay so much. It didn't disappoint if anything it was even better! Me and my husband went all inclusive like the year before and we felt the food from the restaurant had improved even more. Replenishment was faster, more choice and felt to be better quality so that was a great plus. Drinks great choice, cocktails and wine did not disappoint. Staff great as always, friendly, helpful and good to see familar faces from the year before. Just one example we were curious of finding out days of the markets and the lady on the desk found them for us no problem, I celebrated my birthday there and was greeted at breakfast with a happy birthday and a cute chocolate cake and seeing other things around us just make the difference. Rooms are clean and cleaned everyday, modern and comfortable. We have only used the adults pool and it's great, no bed wars, little pool bar, lovely pool just nice to chill and relax. Location for us is perfect a 10 minute walk if that to the beach. Every evening after dinner a walk to the beach is lovely then back for cocktails! The only negative was the theme restaurant we choose to go to one eve. We felt it wasn't upto the high standard and great experience as we did get from the hotel. Overall a great holiday so thankyou and would definitely visit again at some point.
