Protur Safari Park

We returned last week from our weeks stay here, after reading the reviews we were nervous but loved our stay and will hopefully return. Our main concern was the aircon after reading lots of reviews that it doesn’t go below 21 and is uncomfortable. It wasn’t icy cold but we requested a fan and with the aircon and that we were absolutely fine. It is a really big hotel and I can imagine it being too busy during the school holidays but it was perfect for us in September. There was 4 pools and then 2 little ones where toddlers could walk, we didn’t find any of these too busy and could always get a sunbed, there was loads spare. There was also a free splash park out the back of the hotel which was perfect for our 19 month old. There was also a waterpark you could pay to use but we didn’t bother, as our daughters a bit too young. It’s only a 10 minute walk to a lovely beach too. We loved the choice of restaurants it’s better than any all inclusive we have stayed at before. There’s the main buffet restaurant and then an Italian, Indian, Asian and Mexican. You book one restaurant when you check in and can then go on their website at 2pm each day and book the ala cartes for that night. We visited them all apart from the Indian. I was hoping the Asian was Chinese but it was a mix but still lovely, we preferred the buffet restaurant to the Italian but spoke to others who loved it and the Mexican was our favourite. The mini disco was 8.15 every night for around half an hour, all the kids loved it and then the main entertainment was 9-10 each night. It was mainly singers but there was a funny clown act one night we were there. I had seen reviews that the drinks weren’t strong, I’m pregnant so wasn’t drinking but my husband was and they definitely got him drunk. There are drinks stations dotted all over so you can help yourself to soft drinks, wine and estrella all day, as well as different ice creams. There are fish ponds all over the hotel with some massive koi and you can buy fish food to feed them which our daughter loved doing. We did the mini golf for free one day which was fun and there’s also a little petting farm but we didn’t go here. Rooms are cleaned every day apart from Mondays and Thursdays and the whole hotel was spotless. Overall a perfect stay, we had no complaints.

We had a lovely week long stay here in September. After reading some of the reviews beforehand, we were a little apprehensive, but we honestly had nothing to worry about! The hotel was incredibly clean, apartments very spacious and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Any small issues we had were dealt with very quickly. We travelled with friends and requested rooms next to each other, and we were lucky enough to have rooms right next door, which was perfect. We travelled with an 18 month old and a 2 year old, and there was so much for the children to do. It’s a really fantastic family hotel with plenty to keep the kids entertained. The hotel itself is absolutely massive, so there’s lots to explore and plenty going on. The food was also really good, with lots of variety and plenty of different options to choose from. We visited the beach for a day, which was lovely, beautiful clear water and soft sand. The sunbeds were quite expensive at €37 for two, although this did include a locker and two free drinks from a selection, which was a nice bonus. The air conditioning in our room was absolutely fine. It could have been a little cooler, and I’m not sure how it would cope during the height of summer as the lowest temperature setting is 21°C, but we were comfortable during our stay in September. Overall, we had such a lovely time and made lots of wonderful memories. We would definitely come back in the future and would happily recommend it to families, especially those travelling with young children.

We stayed at the Protur Safari Park for the first time in September 2026. We were a bit skeptical after reading previous trip advisor reviews but PLEASE IGNORE ALL BAD REVIEWS! This hotel really is amazing, especially for families. It was our first holiday abroad with our 18 month old son and we all had the best week ever. There is so much to do for all ages, we weren't ever bored. It is absolutely massive, the grounds are brilliant and really very pretty. We checked in and all was very quick and smooth. Our room was on the second floor facing the Badia Hotel, which was perfect for us as we sat on our balcony each night as baby slept and listened to music from the hotel. We had a one bed apartment with balcony which consisted of a separate living area, I would highly recommend the upgrade as we found the room really spacious. There is no bath in the room but when we spoke to reception they kindly provided us with a baby bath which was great for our son. In the room there was a kitchen area which consisted of a fridge, kettle and microwave. The rooms were cleaned every day apart from Monday and Thursday, which didn't bother us. The service was always brilliant and the cleaners were really friendly, even gifting our son a ball to play with in the pool. We had previously read bad reviews regarding air con which did worry us. When we got to our room the air con wasn't working properly in the living area. We reported to reception and they immediately sent up the maintenance team. However, it was then not working as strongly in the bedroom, we reported the issue and once again the maintenance team turned up straight away and fixed it. After this it was absolutely fine and we had no worries for the rest of the week. The air con is programmed to stay on at 21 degrees but they kindly dropped it to 18 degrees without us asking and changed it to manual which kept it on throughout the night without going off. We were allocated the Ibiza restaurant. In the hotel as it is so big there are two restaurants. At check in you are allocated a blue or brown wrist band which allocates you a certain restaurant. The restaurant was really spacious, tables always available and the staff were great. We had no complaints with the food, it was a great range of themes throughout the week. We especially enjoyed the indian night and asian nights. There is always pizza and pasta available. I am quite a fussy eater and I never struggled to find anything to eat. We were always very full! Breakfast was also brilliant, there are lots of options, very spoilt for choice. The pools were amazing. We really enjoyed the splash pool at the back of the hotel. It was great for our son to find his confidence in the water. Before the splash area there is a childs park, go karts, childs rides and trampolines. We also really enjoyed the shallow pools where our son could stand up, there were two of these around the main pool area which we thought was brilliant. The water was maybe a bit cold but once you're in it was refreshing, especially in the hot weather. Regarding evening entertainment, we attended the mini disco and then went up to bed for our son. The mini disco is 20:15 each night and is half hour. It is quite repetitive with the same songs but the children definitely loved it. Very interactive for the children which is brilliant. We can't comment on the entertainment after as we weren't around to see. Sa Coma is a lovely area, we felt very safe all the time. It is a nice quiet area with shops and about a ten minute walk to the beach and promenade. On one of our days we got the bus to Cala Millor which was nice. The bus was really easy and it was only about 20 minutes. It was a lot busier there but we thought it was worth a visit for the day. Again, there was lots to do and Cala Millor also had a lovely beach and promenade. We met a lot of couples and families who had nothing but good things to say about the hotel and told us this was their third and fifth time returning. We can see why people return, we really didn't want to leave! The transfer to the airport is about 1 hour 15 to 1 hour 30. It was the longest transfer we've done to a hotel but it was definitely worth it to visit this part of Majorca. Overall, we had a lovely week. It is a great hotel for families and we are already looking at booking again for next September. Thank you for an amazing unforgettable week!

We have just come.back from.a family holiday to Protur safari Park first time with small children We arrived at lunchtime and check in was very quick. The reception was cool and clean and the staff were very friendly. We had a double room on 2nd floor room 2099 which had a balcony overlooking the pool. After seeing reviews I was anxious about what it would be like, I wasn't disappointed. The shower room was clean and fresh and great pressure on the rainfall shower. I liked the smell of the products too. Doesn't get cleaned on 2 days but thats ok .we had extra towels The air conditioning wouldn't go lower than 21c so not the best Tv good if u need to watch tv We were a group of 9 my niece with her small children were on the ground floor they had family room. The restaurant There are several different seating sized table with ample high chairs so meant me could all sit together. Plenty of choice at the buffet for lunch ranging from pasta pizza meats fish Paella soup chips potatoes salads meats Choices of icecream fresh fruit and desserts. It can get repeative but I mixed up and not over eat Breakfast choice if cereals,yoghurt meats cheese rolls Cooked breakfast The only thing that was disappointing no fresh berries like strawberries or anything to go with the yoghurt. Tinned fruit peaches pears fruit salad. So not the healthiest. Fresh melon daily and couple times Bananas arrived Included in the trip was a visit to one of the alcarte restaurants we choose Mexican at the country grill 😋 smokey BBQ tacos ribs fajitas steaks Salsa definately worth the visit. There are several pools which we enjoyed a bit fresh but "alright once you're in" Lots of activities to take part in we did aqua fit the quiz missed bingo bad timing on behalf. Entertainment in evening was good. There wasn't any problem with getting a sunbed none of this towels out at 8 nonsense! Its nice that u can have inflatables in pool too. I imagine in height of season it could be a bit much Would recommend using the bikes and taking a ride along ro cala.millor . Dont bother with the Evening Market very disappointing. All in all a really good hotel.for a family holiday and location.

A great family resort. Expect loads of children of all ages. Suited us perfectly. Sizeable rooms. Very clean in rooms and throughout the hotel. Food varied with plenty of choice. Fabulous staff from reception to restaurants to cleaning. Lovely pool areas. Carrefour a short walk away. Town with usual bars, restaurants and souvenir shops. Calar Millor a short bus ride away. Bus stop near King's Head. Nice beach. Walked to Castel from the beach, had a drink and then walk into Calar Millor. Choice of bars and restaurants at Sa Coma. Calar Millor larger town Only 2 gripes. Entertainment not the best. Drinks not strong and cheap spirits used.
