Smy Portocolom

We had stayed for a week and I couldn’t recommend it more. The hotel is newly refurbish and it shows; everything was so clean and fresh. You were spoilt for choice at the hotel buffet which seemed to go on forever with fresh food. The star of the show for us was the nura beach club restaurant, the food was unreal. You definitely get your moneys worth at the hotel as they offer entertainment throughout the whole day, free paddle boarding, kayak tours, padel courts and more. The hotel is ideal for chill days and active days. The staff arranged games and entertainment while we waited out a thunder storm one of the days and i’ve never been to a hotel who have done that, they really went above and beyond. We had upgraded our room to a sea view room and the staff were very accommodating. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and bedding. The only thing I would say is there isn’t that much storage if you are staying long so if you are an over-packer i would recommend getting a suite. Also, get walking about to see what is around the hotel as quite a few places to eat are not on maps.

The hotel has real potential to be a really good four-star hotel. On arrival, the hotel is really appealing. The aesthetics are lovely, although one entrance is slightly different to the other and wasn’t quite in keeping with the modern design. This also goes for the holiday corridors, very outdated compared to the ground floor area. Check-in was quick and really helpful, offered maps and info of the area. My first room didn't seem ready to be occupied. Shelves were missing from the wardrobe and the safe wasn't secured down. It just felt the room wasn't ready to be used by guests. Mentioned this to the hotel reception and was moved the next day. That second room was a lot better, but there was still missing little things such as additional toiletries. The other thing that was you got given two bottles of water and that was it for the stay. I've never been anywhere where the water wasn't replaced on a daily basis. Not a massive thing, but in my opinion quite a basic thing for a four-star hotel. Cleanliness from the housekeeping, I think it varied depending on who was cleaning your room. Sometimes it seemed to be really done well, other times it just seemed to be a tidy up of the bed. I was half board and the food was nice. Always quite a bit of choice, breakfast and dinner. Never any queues. Wasn’t offered any other drinks to purchase, so you were just left with water from the machine. Main Pool area, always able to get beds regardless of what time of the day it was, always really clean, and the entertainment they put on, like a saxophonist and the DJ, was nice. Wasn't overbearing, so it wouldn't sort of spoil any quiet time you was looking for. Only gripe was the pool area didn’t open until 10am. The rooftop pool, whilst the views were stunning, isn’t really set up to be used as a pool in my opinion. There were two beanbag chairs available and that seemed to be it. I used the Curtesy room on my last day as had a late pick up, and wished I didn’t. It was located in the social club across the street, but was really grubby, dark, and unkept. Location of the hotel was brilliant, really quiet area, five-minute walk to some other restaurants and to the harbour. 10 min walks to a beautiful beach - Cala Marçal. I would definitely return, but do feel there could be some improvements to really make it a good four-star hotel.

I stayed at this hotel in August 2026 and was very pleased with my stay. It is a fantastic hotel, and we had a newly renovated room that was very nice and located right next to the pool. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was fantastic, with a great variety of options. The hotel had a mature and professional atmosphere, while the children also had a great time. Despite there being many children at the hotel, the pool attendants made sure that the pool areas remained pleasant and well-organized. I can highly recommend this hotel and would happily return!

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. Great location with spectacular views. Very nice rooftop bar and restaurant, with a pool, main pool area very comfortable with quality loungers always kept clean and tidy. Staff all friendly and helpful especially in the pool bar where food is also available. Good selection for breakfast. Only small issue is our room could to with a little updating although was very comfortable.

Newly re-opened (June 2026) and competely renovated hotel. We really enjoyed the stay. When you want to stay on Mallorca out of the crowdy areas I would recommend Portocolom and Smy Portocolom as hotel. The welcome was warm and personal. As there was a very very very short delay in the availability of the room, a free cocktail at the pool bar was offered. So much appreciated! The rooms are fresh and clean, having a nice bathroom and a terrace with see (or bay) view. Small thing: for 4* superior hotel, a free to use safe would have made the experience of the room even better 😉 The breakfast was perfect. Fresh and live cooked eggs are available aside delcicious other (healthy) breakfast options. We had diner a the Posta rooftop restaurant. The choice is limited but what is available is fresh and delicious. We went back the other day for a cocktail to again enjoy the extraordinary bay and see view. Tip: go there at sunset, you will enjoy the unforgettable view! It was a pitty that the lobby bar was not open (yet), this would have been nice to enjoy a small extra coffee in the morning or a late night drink. Conclusion: great hotel, great place, great team!
