THB Maria Isabel

We had an amazing stay at the THB Maria Isabel Hotel. The staff were lovely, the facilities were clean & tidy, the beds were comfortable, the gym was well-equipped for a hotel, and there was a variety of good-quality food at the buffet. The atmosphere was very chilled and peaceful. The hotel is also in a great location - super close to the beach & there are shops nearby. Our stay was half-board and we cannot fault it, brilliant value for money.

After more than 40 years of travelling and staying in hotels all over the world, it takes something truly special to impress me. THB María Isabel didn't just impress me – it exceeded every expectation and is quite simply one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms are modern, stylish, comfortable and immaculately clean, providing everything needed for a relaxing stay. The entire hotel is exceptionally well maintained and has a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere from the moment you walk through the door. A special mention must go to Miguel and Paulo on reception. Their friendliness, enthusiasm and genuine warmth set the tone for the whole holiday. They are a real credit to the hotel and made every interaction a pleasure. In fact, all of the staff were outstanding – professional, cheerful, hardworking and always willing to go the extra mile to help. The food was nothing short of exceptional. I've stayed in many hotels where the catering is simply adequate, but not here. The quality, freshness and variety were superb every single day. There was an excellent choice at every meal, catering for all tastes, and everything was beautifully presented. It was genuinely something to look forward to each day. Another aspect I particularly appreciated was the atmosphere. The hotel was peaceful and quiet for the vast majority of our stay, making it easy to relax and unwind. The clientele was predominantly German guests who were polite, respectful and knew how to enjoy themselves without disturbing others. As a bonus, there were very few noisy British groups, which contributed enormously to the calm and civilised environment. Everything about this hotel feels well thought out and professionally run. The staff, the food, the rooms, the cleanliness and the overall ambience combine to create a holiday experience that is difficult to fault. I rarely write reviews this glowing, but THB María Isabel thoroughly deserves it. Outstanding in every respect and a hotel I would return to without a second thought. Quite simply, it has set a new standard for what a great hotel should be.

I stayed at this hotel for one night because I had an early flight the next morning. It took me only about 20 minutes to get from my hotel room to the airport, including time to grab a coffee before boarding. The taxi ride to the airport was only about 5 minutes, but it cost €20, which I found quite expensive. As for the hotel itself, the reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is located slightly back from the beachfront promenade, but it takes less than 5 minutes to walk to the beach. The room was not very large, but it was comfortable and had everything I needed. I had a sea-view room, which was very pleasant. The pool area was clean and well maintained, with a pool bar and a snack wagon available for guests. Overall, this hotel is a great option for travelers who do not need to stay directly on the beachfront but still want good service, comfortable accommodations, and reasonable prices.

The location is perfect, close to the beach and bars/ restaurants, but not on a busy street so there was no noise from outside. Our room had a beautiful sea view and a balcony. The breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of options to choose from, both savoury and sweet. I was very pleasantly surprised on my birthday with a cake and champagne. All of the staff were lovely and very helpful. I would 100% recommend this place.

The hotel was lovely and clean, little amenities provided when needed. All staff are so friendly and helpful. The buffet provides plenty of different food choices. Indoor heated pool for if the weather isn’t the best and a great gym Will definitely come back again, looking forward to our next visit.
