My wife and I booked this trip as a late deal, looking for a relaxing break away from young children. We wanted sea, sand and sunshine, which The Sea Hotel has to offer, alongside a friendly welcoming atmosphere and great food. Picking no individuals out for special mention as everyone seemed equally willing to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Reading reviews, I'm sure some people spend their vacation time looking for faults and are upset if they find none to complain about. During our ten night stay, we had absolutely no reason to find fault at all and would happily return in the future. Both of us having mobility issues and using sticks, we had no problems moving around the hotel or surrounding areas. Inside, there are two lifts/elevators to all floors and the surrounding area is flat, so no steep hills or hundreds of stairs to worry about. Guests are multi national so there is plenty of opportunity to practice your linguistic skills, have some laughs and make new friends, as long as you're willing to try. The Sea Hotel operates a strict "No Smoking/Vaping" policy on its premises, including outside areas, which I think is wonderful but due to its location on the corner of two public paths and the public beach where smokers congregate, the fumes do drift across the outdoor bar and bistro area. Definitely NOT the hotel's fault and out of their hands to prevent but just a point to keep in mind if it's going to be a deal breaker for you, before booking.

A perfect trip from start to finish. The hotel is right on the beach which has the most beautiful white sand and crystal clear sea. The hotel is stunning incredibly relaxing with lovely rooms. What completes the experience is the staff. Without exception every single member of staff is amazing. We were bed and breakfast and the buffet was fabulous there was a huge selection to cater for all tastes. I challenge anyone to not find something they like. Again the staff work tirelessly and are cheerful and polite. We ate out every night and had some spectacular meals. Our favourite was Ponderosa right on the beach. Olympia next to that was great as well. La Pinta over the road from the hotel was delicious for tapas. Too many to mention. If you’re a pool dweller you may be a bit disappointed as the pool is in the shade until late afternoon and there are only a few beds. The rest are on the sundeck.

This year marked our 9th return visit to the Sea Hotel in Can Picafort, and that fact alone probably tells you everything you need to know about how much we love this hotel. We've visited every year since it opened and, barring the pandemic interruption, it has become a firm fixture in our July calendar. What keeps us coming back year after year is, without doubt, the people. The hotel is very ably led by Kaja, the General Manager, whose attention to detail and commitment to guests shines through in every aspect of the hotel. The restaurant is expertly managed by Christian, supported by familiar faces including Alba, Gregorio and Carmen, alongside new team members each year who are always friendly, professional and extremely well trained. This year we also met Maria from the strawberry farm in Huelva, who was a delight and added another personal touch to our stay. We normally book a side sea view room, which offers lovely views and a great balcony. This year, however, as it was a special birthday celebration, we stayed in a Junior Suite with direct sea view, and if your budget allows, I would thoroughly recommend it. The extra space makes a real difference, with a comfortable sofa area and plenty of room to relax while enjoying those incredible views over the bay. The suite is very well equipped. The mini fridge is stocked with a couple of complimentary bottles of water to get you started, and for anything else there's a convenient supermarket directly opposite the hotel. Tea and coffee-making facilities are provided, including a Nespresso-style machine, which was a welcome bonus. The bathroom features a spacious walk-in shower and quality toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion. There are also additional amenities such as a toothbrush and comb in case you've forgotten any essentials. One tiny suggestion for the next refurbishment: soft-close toilet seats, please! The food remains one of the highlights of our stay. The breakfast buffet offers something for everyone, with an excellent selection of hot and cold dishes. I particularly enjoyed the days when poached eggs and hollandaise sauce were available. Perhaps next year we could see some sliced avocado added to the breakfast selection to complement it! The addition of smoked salmon was a lovely touch and paired perfectly with the "help yourself" cava available on selected mornings. I also found myself regularly visiting the omelette station, partly because the food is excellent and partly because it gave me the chance to catch up with the wonderful chef from Granada whom we've got to know over the years. As always, he welcomed us back with a smile sand a big handshake and made us feel like old friends. The hotel's location is simply unbeatable, sitting directly on one of the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca. Guests can choose between the hotel sunbeds or the beach sunbeds operated by the local council ( €21 this year for two beds and a parasol and they only take cash). However, many visitors don't realise that the hotel also has a large first-floor solarium overlooking the beach, offering fantastic views and easy beach access completely free of charge. As we left, we were already counting down to next year. Our 10th visit is already in the diary. If you're considering staying here, it's worth signing up to the Grupotel website and booking direct to access any available offers. A huge thank you to Kaja, Christian and the entire Sea Hotel team for making us feel so welcome yet again. See you next year! The Walkers
