TUI BLUE Rocador

Had a 4 night break here with a friend. Unfortunately we had to check into another hotel the first night think they had overbooked so that was disappointing as we had to check into both hotels and we had arrived late however we got our rooms sorted the next morning. The hotel takes a bit of getting used to finding your way around but we were happy with everything. The location is lovely overlooking the beach and near the centre which is quite lively on a night and within walking distance to the marina. A really good selection of food in the restaurant and drinks very reasonable. Staff all pleasant and helpful would definitely return.

Comfortable hotel in a great location although layout & particularly access to restaurants within hotel a little confusing due to it originally being 2 hotels knocked into one. Surprised to find a change of pool towels now incurs a €1 charge per towel (first hotel I’ve ever experienced this!). Bar area is a bit ‘soulless’ and not particularly welcoming but there is such a huge choice of alternatives literally within a few mins walk from hotel. Breakfast is very good. Room was nice enough although balcony furniture cheap & nasty. Cala D’or has lots to offer & Rocador is a good base to explore.

The hotel is situated in a perfect position right on the beach. It's only a short stroll from the bars and restaurants. I have mobility problems and can only walk short distances but I found it relatively easy to get around. The hotel has some steps but these can be avoided. There are two lifts which provide good access to all levels. Our room was spotless ,the view from the balcony was great looking over the beach even tho the room was a limited beach view room. The hotel was quite and restful. Great pool area with plenty of sun beds. Lovely gardens. The pool side bar was good value and the food on offer very good. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and freshly cooked eggs. I counted 9 types of bread. To sum up, reasonably accessible, very clean, quite, great staff, ideal location. I would be more than happy to stay again.

This was our second stay at Grupotel Rocador, having had a lovely holiday here last year. The hotel is in an ideal location, where one beach is next to the hotel, whilst we also visited a smaller one only a 10min walk away. A shop was a minute away where we could pick up any drinks and snacks, whilst some good nearby places for lunch included a pizza place, Ill Pizzettaro, across the street, and a lunch place called Bretzel Bros a short walk down the road. The room we stayed in was a great size and spotlessly cleaned by the housekeepers, who did a fantastic job. Being half board, the buffet breakfast and dinner was ideal. As I'm coeliac (gluten allergy), I really appreciated everything being labelled clearly and having a 'gluten free corner' where bread, cereal, and some cakes and pastries were available at breakfast. However, the main highlight with this hotel was the staff who were absolutely fantastic during a very stressful time. During our visit, my partner took ill whilst at the hotel and an ambulance had to be called. The reception team were quick to support, with Adil soon arranging the ambulance call out. Unfortunately, my partner was admitted to hospital for several days. As I stayed during the later hours to visit him, there were nights when I didn't make it to dinner, but Antonia was incredibly helpful by arranging for something to eat to be brought to the room for when I got back. Sofi and all of the reception team were also very helpful when I needed to arrange taxis to the hospital and had other queries. When I went to breakfast in the mornings whilst my partner was in hospital, Jose always stopped me ask how he was doing and to let me know the team were here to support. When my partner thankfully returned to the hotel, Jose was really welcoming. The team even made a lovely desert specially for my partner with a note from the staff wishing him well. During such a difficult time, I couldn't have asked for more from the staff at Grupotel Rocador who were incredibly thoughtful. We're hoping to return next year, where hopefully we will both get to enjoy our stay at this great hotel more!
