We stayed here recently and, unfortunately, left feeling quite disappointed overall. The biggest concern was the fire at the hotel during our stay. We were in our room when we became aware of what was happening because we could hear other guests outside shouting “fire”. There were no alerts or clear instructions from hotel staff, and there was no clear communication afterwards to reassure guests about what had happened or whether it was safe to return. For something as serious as a hotel fire, we expected much better communication and organisation from the hotel. It was a very unsettling experience. On a more positive note, the hotel itself was generally clean and our room was cleaned every day. The drinks were good and there was a decent selection available. The location was also good. We enjoyed being able to walk out to the strip in the evenings, which was a nice way to break up the day, especially as we unfortunately didn't experience the best weather during our stay — obviously, this isn't the hotel's fault! Unfortunately, we found the food to be quite average and the room itself was fairly basic and average. Nothing was particularly terrible, but equally nothing stood out as exceptional. Overall, there were some positives, particularly the location, cleanliness, daily room cleaning and drinks, but the way the fire was handled really overshadowed our stay. When you are staying in a hotel, you expect to feel safe and confident that staff will know how to respond in an emergency. Sadly, we did not feel that was the case here. We have escalated this with TUI as a hotel has a duty of care to all guests

I will start with the positives, the hotel was very clean, rooms very basic but cleaned daily with fresh bedding and towels, staff very friendly. Now the negatives. Before I booked this holiday I enquired about the no smoking policy in the rooms and was told strictly no smoking in rooms. BUT people can smoke on their balconies and it’s not nice when you are in your room with your patio door open and in comes the smell of smoke or weed, to me it’s a fire hazard as no ash trays are in the rooms. I complained but it fell on deaf ears. There is a lovely adult “quiet pool” (apparently) but it was full of noisy children. It should be made ADULTS ONLY, there’s plenty of room around the normal pool for them to enjoy and play in. For the first 2 days of our holiday it was awful with English women and men behaving very very badly, drunk all the time, shouting abuse and hard shouting, falling about the complex and swearing even though there was children about, I felt embarrassed to be British. The staff did absolutely nothing about the situation and still continued to serve them alcohol. They were very unruly. When they left/ holiday over, people were on their balconies clapping and jeering them off site. Food: There was plenty of it, unless you went into the food hall early, the food was quite cold, repetitive or bland, served on cold plates, a lot of the crockery was chipped (not nice). The friendly staff promptly cleared and cleaned the tables. The entertainment was mainly set for children, not a lot for adults really, very low key. I did know beforehand this was a 3* Hotel and I booked for 11 nights, a mistake, as 7 nights would have been enough, we revisited this hotel 36 years later after our first visit without the children. The lobby and rest area was very comfortable and spotlessly clean, couldn’t fault the cleanliness of the hotel or toilets. You pay €15 deposit refundable for your safe which is does state beforehand. A piece of mind. They supply pool towels which is good for a 3* and a constant free shuttle bus to the beach, an excellent service. The place in general needs an update.

We have just returned from this hotel (24/09 to 01/10). Every member of staff we came into contact with (housekeeper's, shuttle bus driver, waiting on staff, bar staff, reception staff and other staff members) were friendly, warm, smiley and helpful. In our opinion the Hotel is perfectly situated, about a 10min walk to the shops but away from the hustle and bustle. Our room was on the 5th floor, at the back of the Hotel overlooking the mountains-very quiet and beautiful sunsets. Yes, the bedroom walls are paper thin and sometimes noise can be heard from other rooms but no different to any other Hotel-either at home or abroad. The room was serviced daily, when the hanging notice was placed on your bedroom door. The food was a great selection and even for the fussiest of eaters, there would be something for you. We never had lunch in the restaurant as we ate lunch at the pool bar on the island. The drinks selection was great, cocktails are not available on the island, but you can take them from the main pool bar, over to the island. We booked 2 half day excursions, the open top bus tour of Alcudia and a glass bottom boat trip. The open top bus tour takes you around Alcudia, to the old town, the medieval walls, through the old coal plant, down to the lighthouse for a quick photo stop - for someone who is never going to drive abroad it's a little tour around the area-well worth the money. The glass bottom boat trip was very enjoyable, multiple pick up points along the coast. When you arrive at the swim stop, there are some unexpected inhabitants of the beach-we won't spoil the surprise! All in all the holiday was lovely, a great time to recharge the batteries, and a break from mundane daily life. In our opinion this Hotel deserves 4*'s, the 3*'s rating does not do it justice. Would we recommend this Hotel - yes, definitely. Would we stay at this Hotel again - yes, defintiely (but not for a while, as we have other holiday locations to experience). PS. If anyone happens to provide an update on the gorgeous little cat family living at the back of the Hotel-who cause no bother or noise at all-that would be great!! 😀

Some updates needed but overall clean and comfortable. Daily regular free mini bus to beach. Food was well cooked and displayed and very tasty. Evening entertainment was awful and would have been better to just play background music. Overall an enjoyable holiday, staff very friendly and accommodating . Would return

We stayed at Bellevue Lagomonte Hotel for a week and, unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. There were so many issues throughout our stay, but what made it significantly worse was the complete lack of support from staff whenever we raised them. The most serious incident happened when we were INSIDE our 5th-floor room and the LED sign directly above our room exploded and caught fire. We had absolutely no idea there was a fire. We only realised something was wrong because we suddenly heard shouting from downstairs. People were running through the hotel shouting and screaming, banging on guests’ doors and telling everyone there was a fire above our room. We had no idea where the fire actually was, how serious it was, or whether the roof above us was potentially going to collapse. We were simply being shouted at by people running through the building telling us there was a fire. There was no member of hotel staff who came to our room to alert us. We had to grab our belongings and evacuate down FIVE flights of stairs in our pyjamas while people were still shouting and rushing around. My girlfriend is disabled, which made the situation even more frightening and difficult. What makes this even more unbelievable is that we had only been moved into this room ONE DAY earlier. Our first room had a leak from the air conditioning, with water literally pouring through the ceiling. The hotel attempted to fix it three times, but the problem continued. We were eventually forced to complain very strongly before they agreed to move us — but they refused to move us until the following morning. We had to sleep with a bucket on the floor catching water from the ceiling. When we complained, the receptionist was rude and confrontational rather than helpful. The new room wasn’t much better. There were stains all over the floor, and the pillows were mouldy, meaning we had to keep them away from us rather than actually use them. The LED lights behind the bed were also temperamental and barely worked. The shower temperature constantly changed between freezing cold and extremely hot without us touching the controls. On top of all this, we repeatedly felt ignored and dismissed whenever we raised problems. At times staff were extremely rude and spoke to us as though we were incompetent for complaining. After everything we had experienced, the hotel’s attempt at making up for it was a small bottle of alcohol. 🤦‍♀️ We received no proper compensation for the disruption, stress or serious safety issues we experienced. The food was another major disappointment. Food that should have been hot was cold, while other food was warm when it should have been cold. There were flies throughout the restaurant, including around and on the food. The selection was repetitive and there wasn’t a huge amount of choice. To be fair, there were allergen-friendly and vegetarian options available, which is one positive. The entertainment was also scheduled very late. If you ate dinner around 7pm, there wasn’t really any entertainment until around 10pm, which made the evenings feel quite limited. There are also a number of additional things worth knowing before booking. The rooms don’t have fridges, and the safe isn’t included — there is a €15 deposit and then a €3 daily charge to use it. During our stay, our towel was taken by cleaners after we had left it on the bathroom floor, and when we questioned this, they acted confused rather than resolving the issue. The pool and the hotel’s island were probably the best parts of the stay and were genuinely nice. However, even the bridge leading to the island felt unstable and questionable, which didn’t exactly inspire confidence. I have included photographs with this review showing the mouldy pillow, the fire/LED sign, the leak from the ceiling, the bridge and examples of the food, so people can see some of these issues for themselves. Overall, what made this stay so disappointing wasn’t simply that things went wrong — things can go wrong in any hotel. It was the lack of urgency, communication and support when we raised serious problems, particularly when we were inside our room and only discovered there was a fire because OTHER GUESTS were running through the building shouting and banging on doors to warn people. If you are considering staying here, be aware of these issues before spending your money. Based on our experience, when something goes wrong, don’t expect much help from the hotel. For us, one star is generous. I would give zero if Tripadvisor allowed it.
