Viva Blue & Spa

Absolutely brilliant hotel for a holiday in a lovely location. Very quick access to the beach with loads of ice cream shops near by. The hotel itself was amazing the pools and park were brilliant for our very active kids. The restaurant has a wide variety of food which was top quality. The staff in the restaurant were amazing especially with the kids which is helpful as it puts your mind at ease when the kids are causing a mess. The staff in the hotel in general were all so lovely. We would 100% recommend.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, close to a beautiful beach with crystal-clear turquoise water and plenty of little fish :-) It is definitely a family-oriented hotel, with a strong focus on German tourists — the vast majority of guests during our stay were from Germany. The property is very well maintained, with a small but beautiful garden. The rooms are large and spacious. Before our arrival, I emailed the hotel asking if it would be possible to have a room facing the Albufera Nature Reserve, and we were lucky enough to receive a wonderful room on that side, in one of the quietest and furthest areas of the hotel. A big thank you for that! The views from the balcony were absolutely amazing — we only wished we had brought binoculars :-) The food was very good, with a wide variety of choices, and there was a different themed dinner every evening. The pools and activities are clearly designed with children in mind — there is a huge selection of things to do, so there is definitely no chance of getting bored. The evening entertainment was also of a very high standard. The entire staff — from reception, to the waiters and entertainment team, as well as the housekeeping staff — were extremely dedicated and made this place feel truly special. There are, of course, a few very minor things that could be improved. For example, having binoculars available at the hotel’s observation point would be a great addition and would make watching the nature reserve even more enjoyable. The walls between the rooms are also quite thin, so you can sometimes hear your neighbours, although this is something you find in many hotels. There were also mosquitoes, but using mosquito repellent was more than enough to avoid any problems. I also have the impression that some of the more critical reviews may partly come from expectations of a truly premium holiday experience, especially for guests staying in the Selection Club. In my opinion, this is worth keeping in mind when choosing this option. The price of the Selection Club can sometimes be two or even three times higher, while the additional facilities and benefits may not necessarily justify such a significant price difference for every guest. This is, of course, very subjective and depends on individual expectations. Overall, this is a high-quality family hotel that we would highly recommend! As a family of four, we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Viva Blue and Spa. Before I give more detail, I want to give a special mention to Anais who was amazing as a Concierge. We stay in a Selection Room and I had many questions and several things that I needed assistance of and she helped me every single time. The hotel itself is very clean, and the rooms were spacious and cleaned thoroughly each day. The pools are great and there was never any issues getting any sun loungers. The Food in the restaurants were nice and we never went without. Another Special mention to Chef Tony who was always helpful as my son has allergies - but he was always willing to help and explain which dishes were fine. - he even prepared dishes separately if we requested it. Overall it was a really nice short stay for us as a family and we would definately return to Viva Blue and Spa. Thank you to each of the staff - especially Tony and Anais.

I came to Malloca for a solo cycling vacation Well, this resort caters to families. I felt very comfortable here as a solo adult and I was appreciative of the cycling centre for all my cycling needs.
