Had a lovely 10 night stay at this hotel .. been coming every year for the last 16 years! Can’t fault this hotel .. staff can’t do enough for you! Always made to feel welcome from the minute we set foot into the hotel … such lovely staff they all are!

Breakfast and dinner was good, plenty to choose from. The view from our room was nice, the room itself was okay and clean but housekeeping didn’t change our bedding when it was clearly dirty. Bathroom needs refurbishment. There were ants in the rooms. While we appreciate the evening entertainment, the fact that it starts at 21:15 until 23:00 and it’s extremely loud we found it difficult to settle the baby and get some rest. The music was so loud we couldn’t even have a normal conversation on the balcony and the windows were vibrating. The staff was nice and helpful.

First of all see my previous reviews, I am always constructive and have given glowing reviews when they are deserved My endearing thoughts on this hotel? Just indifferent really I do not believe this should have a 4 star rating We stayed half board plus There is a small fridge in the room Gym was adequate (but no water) unheard of to be honest, especially in any ‘4 star’ hotel I’ve stayed in previously The entertainment staff in the daytime were lovely Pros Very clean, staff clearly work hard, the two female bar staff were really nice Location is close to the beach The reception area looks nice The pool area is nice, there is a lifeguard but I’ve seen the QE2 turn quicker, he did a couple of times tell people off for taking a plastic cup near the water There is a shop opposite Cons I’ll start with the reception staff, certainly not rude BUT we just got the vibe they weren’t bothered when I raised an issue, I’ve dealt with really helpful staff at many hotels who go out their way to help, they certainly didn’t here. We stayed in a room that over looks the street, the noise is bordering intolerable from the ‘music bar’ people singing and shouting well past midnight (not ideal with an 8 year old) when we asked to move rooms it was met with ‘well that’s the room you get when you don’t pay for a pool view’ so I can only assume if you don’t pay for a pool view then it’s tough, you automatically get a room that overlooks the noisy bar? their only solution was ‘you’ll have to pay extra’ I’ll speak to TUI about this, I don’t recall reading anywhere that if you don’t pay extra for a pool view you are sadly left with a ‘noisy room’ and you’ll just have to lump it, I’m sure there are plenty of rooms that face neither the pool or the noisy bar? Water - can’t stand dishonesty but we had it here, there is a large water cooler (with ice) on the bar but the tap is operated by the bar staff, a number of times the female bar staff gave us iced water (as well as Fanta or beer that we obviously paid for) we didn’t pay for this water which appeared to be tap water neither would I expect to (always free in every 4 star hotel I’ve stayed in previously) until a male bar tender became very rude with my wife and demanded payment for this water stating we weren’t all inclusive, the following day when I requested 3 cups of iced water he went to open bottles, I told him I didn’t want the bottled water, I wanted the iced tap water, he then refused me and tried to convince me it was bottled water in the cooler (a complete lie!) why on earth would they stand there and open multiple bottles of water and tip them into the cooler?! This was proven by a lady who told us she had seen them fill the cooler and it most definitely wasn’t out of bottles! When I raised this at reception they doubled down and also tried to say there was a water shortage in Majorca 😂 also the tap water was unsafe to drink (again not the case!!) clearly it is pure greed on the hotels part, never have I been expected to pay for tap water! Really pathetic to be honest! This resulted in us getting all our bottled water from the shop opposite Food - breakfast there was quite a lot of choice but definitely nowhere what we have encountered at other 4 star hotels Evening entertainment - oh dear that is all I can say, the whole vibe of the hotel was very boring to be honest (but clearly may suit some people) evening meals were just average and nothing special, yes fresh and decent choice but definitely geared towards the heavy German clientele, and out of the 6 nights we dined on the evening there was only 1 themed night (Chinese) and during this I was served raw chicken (photo taken) when I informed the waitress she chef came over and asked where I got it from, no apologies at all, obviously it happens and it’s not a big deal but it was like they didn’t care! Also on multiple occasions the food was luke warm which again was disappointing, kind of glad we opted to eat out a couple of times for our evening meals at two fantastic restaurants in Cala Millor (I’ve reviewed these as well) The restaurant is downstairs and there is no option to eat breakfast or evening meals outside which we like to do (this is my fault however and not the hotels) And 15 euros per towel deposit 😂 again seems ridiculous to me, we’ve always paid a nominal fee for the room not per individual towel! Just don’t see the need for this at all! Overall disappointing experience, and overshadowed by dishonest unhelpful staff (some of them) definitely does not deserve its 4 star rating in my opinion this is a 3 star hotel, we would definitely not return and I will be writing to TUI to express our feelings (something I’ve never had to do before)
