Welikehotel Marfil Playa

Lovely hotel, really kind and caring staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Stayed for a week at the end of September to celebrate a special occasion. On arrival, we were checked in quickly by a very friendly chap with glasses who also gave us a bottle of wine, which was greatly appreciated. Booked half board plus which is definitely worth the little extra outlay for beer, wine and soft drinks with dinner. The red wine was surprisingly nice and the beer is San Miguel I think. Room was on the 5th floor and although the bathroom was a little dated, everywhere was spotlessly clean, it was a decent size, the beds and pillows were comfy and there was the usual safe with deposit, TV (Not used), fridge, aircon and a reasonable view of the nature reserve and the sea. Food was plentiful with a couple of themed nights at dinner with paella most nights in addition to freshly cooked meats and fish, lots of fresh fruit at breakfast and dinner, good selection of deserts and great choices at breakfast including fried or scrambled eggs, omelettes and various other breakfast foods you’d expect. The restaurant staff are very efficient at clearing plates and re-setting tables and in fact all the staff we encountered were very friendly and welcoming. Nice pool with no shortage of loungers, especially on the upper level, good gym, free shower room on departure and the ABBA girls night was especially good fun. There was some noise from the music bar across the road but you can’t blame the hotel for that. Good bars in the vicinity, beach a few minutes away and easy to get the bus to other local areas including Porto Christo and Manacor. Also worth walking through the nature reserve to the 17th century fort! Happy to return!

Just back after s week at the WLH Marfil Playa in Sa Coma.. The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of the popular result. A taxi rank is outside the hotel with supermarkets,shops and restaurants etc nearby. The hotel has 7 floors and about 160 rooms. Rooms are a decemt size with plenty wardrobe and storage space (drawers etc). Also a decent sized balcony. Rooms are cleaned daily,and the bathroom has a over bath shower. Staff are generally friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant is varied and plentiful. My only gripe is that the food is generally only luke warm but all in all really decent. Nobody starved !! The beach is a 6/7 minutes walk from the hotel with fine white sand and a gentle slope into the water. Overall I would recommend the hotel and the cosmopolitan tesort. Both of which were surprisingly busy for late Septenber. Forgot to say that there is a nice pool with lots of sunbeds which were nearly all empty! Also there is a regular local bus service and little road train.

Had a great time, hotel spotless. Towels changed on a daily basis if requested. Bathrooms are dated showers over bath, so bit of a problem if you have a mobility issue. Pool area and terrace kept immaculately clean and tidy. Bar staff very friendly do a marvellous job. Drinks are of good quality. Lovely walk to the beach. Plenty of shops around. Pavements are tiled and flat so again if mobility issues very safe. Food not always hot and some very weird combinations but didn’t go Hungary. Had pool view which was lovely. Have seen some comments about didn’t pay for pool view so hot street view and were not happy, off course you pay for pool/sea view when you book. It’s not the hotels fault you get what you pay for. Would return to this hotel.

The location was great, 5 minutes walk to the beach, staff really friendly and accommodating, rooms clean but the walls are very thin so can hear everything from the next room. The only negative was the food wasn’t the hottest and served on cold plates so had to use the microwave every meal.
