Zafiro Tropic

We returned last week from a brilliant holiday at Zafiro Tropic. It was our first holiday abroad with our 14 month old so we were quite nervous but we had an amazing time. The first thing to say is how amazing staff are with the children (and adults too of course!). Our toddler got so much attention from staff and he had a great time. Special shout out to Anna who our son loved and she was so great with him during the evenings mini disco and entertainment. Pros: - Our room was ready on arrival which was very welcome after the journey and with a little one. - Staff are amazing and so friendly. Whenever we asked for anything we never felt like we were being a nuisance. - Very family friendly. Baby changing facilities, accessible with our travel pram, lots of high chairs. 2 play parks. Children's pool and pirate splash pool were great. Possibly could done with (more) heating at times. - We really enjoyed the evening entertainment, there were different shows on and a great atmosphere. - Great food and amazing choice. Watched food getting cooked fresh. Chefs were very friendly. My wife is vegetarian and ate well. Occasionally things were not labelled correctly. Our toddler also enjoyed the food. There was everything at breakfast I could ever think of. Great to have the buffet lunch or bar food to choose from. With all inclusive you get one A La Cart evening meal included which was very good. - The hotel always seemed clean and tidy. Often saw cleaners around. Our son loved the robot cleaners too! - Great range of all inclusive cocktails and drinks, as well as icecreams. - Lovely range of pools including the 18+ area. There was also an indoor pool but thankfully we had great weather so only used the outdoor ones. The main pool outside could have been warmer! - The location was great. 5 minute walk to the beach, 20 minute walk to Alcudia old town - I think I had read there is a bus too but we were fine walking. Lots of shops around. - Lifts are good, we didn’t have to wait long for them (max a minute even at busy times) which has been issues in hotels for us before. - There were always sunbeds free even during busy times. Could do with some sunbed side tables for drinks etc. to be put on. - Great range of activities such as mini golf, tennis, table tennis. - Our little one was too young for the children's club but from what we saw it looked brilliant. - Generally the noise levels in the room was low and no problem. Some of the live music was quite loud some nights which wasn't ideal with settling our toddler to bed. Our room did face the entertainment stage. But it didn't usually go on past about 10pm thankfully and was nice for us to watch some of it from the balcony if we had gone up early. - We felt that the value of the holiday was good considering all that it offered. Cons/suggestions: - Slightly salty food at times but still very tasty. - Pancakes very popular at breakfast and we often had to wait a while for them. Could more be cooked and kept warm? This did happen on one of the mornings I noticed. - We got a lot of mosquito bites. We had read about these but think we hadn't realised how active they are in the day so should have sprayed more insect repellent in the daytime too. Not sure if the hotel have any bug traps lights but worth looking at if not! - You have to pay a cot charge per night which we had read about but seems unfair when bringing a baby or toddler. - Could do with USB and USB C in plug sockets in the rooms. - Could there be some inside contained play space for toddlers e.g soft play and wall toys. So parents could have a sit at a table and have a coffee whilst the little ones have a play or parents can take it in turns. - Could do with a lock on the bathroom sliding door so a toddler doesn't keep trying to open it! A brilliant first holiday all together, it exceeded our expectations and we had an amazing time. Thank you so much!

We had such a wonderful family holiday at Zafiro Tropic! We absolutely loved our stay. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the beach and shopping areas. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, and the kids had a fantastic time. The food was delicious, and the entertainment every night was great. Also lots of pools to enjoy including a kids pool and park, along with adults only. We didn’t want to leave.

We stayed as a family in July this year. We found the food and drinks to be very good. Branded spirits, great cocktails. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were small and could do with a little tlc. Rooms only cleaned 5 out of 7 days and weren’t informed on check in. Never been to a hotel where rooms weren’t cleaned and fresh towels provided every day. Great location to local bars and shops. Not enough sunbeds for the amount of guests. Terrible sunbed wars. Entertainment at night was pretty poor too, drinks were table service and if you sat near the back they tend to forget about you.

The location of the hotel was superb. I traveled with a large group of friends on a private bike trip. When not riding, we took buses to other places, walked to old town and the beach. Often used the wonderful pools after cycling and particularly enjoyed the adult pool. We booked the all inclusive so breakfast and dinner were included. Despite the dinner's overwhelming buffet, I found the food often bland but there was enough to choose from. Unfortunately water at dinner had to be purchased. Rooms were very clean and a good size. Service from ALL staff was incredible - friendly, helpful. A great value for what we received!

This was our 3rd stay at a Zafiro hotel and although it's in need of modernisation we had a lovely family holiday. We had a room in block 3, which was a good location, not far to walk from everything. Unfortunately our room was really smelly, which seemed to be coming from the air con. I told reception and they offered us another room. We decided to stay put as we're never in the room apart from to sleep and shower. Both of my daughters 9 and 13 had a brilliant time and were in the pool most of the day, the foam party was a big hit too. The food here was really nice with so much selection, there's something every meal for everybody, even the fussy eaters. Cocktails are amazing, all freshly made, no ready mixed rubbish. The staff at this hotel make your holiday. Every single member of staff is polite, genuinely happy and just make you smile. From cleaners to restaurant workers to bar staff, and they work so hard and such long hours all with a smile. Big shout out to Angel at the pool bar, I have his name tattooed on my foot which made him smile. Alcudia is really lovely especially the port at sun set
