Club Hotel Dolphin

Rooms are spacious Food very tasty Access to the ocean is limited.

Enjoyed my stay as everyone was very helpful. always asking if they could do anything. As a solo traverler felt safe and welcomed looked forward to see what the towel art was going to be.

We stayed at the Club Hotel Dolphin in Room 218 from the 14th-28th May. We were 3 adult females. We booked all inclusive via TUI and took a direct flight to/from London Heathrow. After travelling for 11 hours we arrived and the guest services bought us in, gave us a drink and a cold towel before walking us to our room. Our room was spacious, plenty of room with 3 beds inside. Rooms were cleaned everyday and the cleaners were super friendly and work very hard, they are trying to help the planet so towels & bedding are not changed daily but this really wasn't a big issue and you can get it changed daily if you request. The restaurant is fantastic, I have been to many all inclusives and it tends to get a bit 'samey' but there was different things every day, it was never the same thing for lunch then dinner. I do not like spicy food and none of us struggled to eat. They offered a variety for everyone. The snack bar isn't the best, we used it once and it wasn't worth it. We did use room service twice, it wasnt expensive and came quite quickly. The pool is massive. It was lovely and warm. The lifeguards are amazing, they would set up your sun loungers, try and protect from the rain and just incredibly friendly. There is no fight for sunloungers and nobody was 'reserving' their sunloungers which was fantastic. The bar teams were amazing. We used the pool bar & aqua bar every day and the staff there are fantastic, incredible cocktail makers, friendly, funny and they work so hard. The entertainment team were incredibly friendly. We did speak to Thari & Sunny a few times. They do try and get people involved but there wasn't a lot of people who got involved. One of the shows was cancelled due to weather. Evening entertainment is mostly live singers and they do sing the same songs pretty much everynight. The dogs, there are a lot of stray dogs at this hotel but they are super friendly and need some love! I did buy some treats from the local supermarket and give to the dogs. There are signs saying not to feed them but I did not listen. At this current time it is a very quiet hotel, this is due to ongoing travel situations so the hotel has cut back on things such as food/entertainment because there are not enough people in the hotel but there is still plenty of things to eat and do. At the weekends the hotel is open to locals and it can get very busy/rowdy. We used See Lanka Travels for our trips - I have reviewed them on trip advisor as well. I would recommend this hotel to other travellers, Sri Lanka is a beautiful country and the hotel is one of the best we have travelled too. I would also recommend tipping the staff, they work incredibly hard and the service is impeccable. We were slightly concerned as travelling as 3 women but the staff never made to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome, the staff are incredible and really took care of us.

Very friendly, and absolutely stunning location/accomodation. They take very pride in maintenance and the grounds are beautiful. We will definitely come back again.
