Taj Bentota Resort & Spa

The typical Taj Resort service as expected. Staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel was managed well. Plenty of activities to do. Beach and pool were nice. Kids club was good, along with other kids entertainment around the hotel each day. The wifi was annoyingly capped to 4 devices per room, making it difficult with 4 of us staying, each with their own phone/tablet, so issues arise when needing to then connect a computer or 2nd phone etc. The wifi signal was also weaker in some areas of the room than others. Rooms were generally clean, but there was an oversight where a lot of dirt and dust had accumulated over time in low traffic areas, both in the rooms and public areas. It does not affect you, but it is obviously not a concern for the housekeeping as it is built up over a long timeframe.

Stayed at the Taj Bentota resort for 11 nights in March 26. It was perfect! Food was spot on, lots of choice. The rooms and resort was spotless and the satff worked incredibly hard to ensure you have a great holiday! Explored the local area, the reception staff were very helpful and arranged local transport. Nothing was too much trouble. A shout out to the staff that made our stay fantastic! Sam, Roshan, Dilan, Chef Kalinga, Kannagara, Lakmal, Disa and Alok. I'm sure I could name more but these guys were fantastic! The resort has direct access to the longest stretches of beaches which are amazing!

A truly wonderful dining experience! Chef Sarath and Jasvir prepared exceptional vegetarian dishes that were full of flavor, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully made. Every item reflected great skill and attention to detail. Their hospitality was top-notch and made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the meal. A special mention to Ravindra and sisil, our waiter, who took excellent care of us and ensured all our needs were met with warmth and professionalism. His attentive service added greatly to the overall experience. Highly recommended for both outstanding food and impeccable hospitality!

Stayed at the property for 4 nights. The chefs went out of their way to get us whatever my family and kids enjoyed eating, especially Chef Jasvir Singh. Amazing hospitality and great food!

The entire hotel staff was incredibly warm, helpful, and welcoming, but I would especially like to highlight Chef Jesvinder Singh for his exceptional service and hospitality. He truly went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. As a family that eats pure vegetarian food, with my mother especially fond of Indian cuisine, he made every effort to cater to our preferences. From arranging customized meals to perfectly matching the authentic taste she loves, his dedication was remarkable. A heartfelt thank you to the entire Taj team, and a special mention to Chef Jesvinder Singh at Palms Restaurant, Taj Bentota Resort & Spa, for making us feel so at home.
