Tangerine Beach Hotel

We recently stayed at Tangerine Beach Hotel with my wife and my sister’s family, and it was a truly enjoyable experience. The service throughout our stay was excellent—staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. A special thanks to Ms. Manulya from the reservations team for her outstanding support and professionalism. She made the booking process smooth and ensured everything was well arranged for our family. Overall, we had a wonderful time, and the warm hospitality really made our trip memorable. We would definitely consider coming back again!

Absolutely horrible!!! Avoid at all costs !!!! Horrible Staff and location!!! No beach !! We went there because the name tangerine is heard much. But when we got there it was a very different expression. The reception and the staff were terrible. We called them from our room to tell them to unlock our locker but they kept us waiting saying wait for 5 min. Oh and the thing which was unbelievable was the this hotel is Tangerine BEACH HOTEL. But ther is NO BEACH AT ALL. A person comes to a beach hotel to relax in the beach but THERE IS NO BEACH. Which was terrible. Secondly our room was in the ground and close to the pool. Which was a major problem. We couldn't open our curtains and stay outside because people were looking at us everytime. This is not what u expect when u come to relax. Another problem was that the diner and lunch buffets were held in a ballroom. So when u eat in a ballroom it takes all the vibe that your on holiday. WE HAD TO WAIT IN HUGE QUEUES to get our food and it was hilarious. And when we came to to the hotel for check-in it was about 4.00pm. So when it came to 12.00pm the next day we got a call saying to give the room keys immediately. This was unnecessary since we had to wait like 1 hour to get our room. Not suitable for value of money. Hotel is very noisy not relaxing.

It was a great experience for us all and the service was top notch.. Especially Subashi who was working at the reception hall was extremely helpful and full of joy... 10/10 service from her❤️👍🏻

We stayed one night at Tangerine Beach Hotel and had a great experience overall. The hospitality was excellent, and the staff made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The pool area was really nice, with clean and pleasantly warm water — perfect for relaxing. Since the beach has a lot of rocks and there’s no direct access for a proper sea bath, the pool definitely makes up for it and is a highlight of the hotel. The sports facilities were also enjoyable. We had fun playing carrom and table tennis, and the gym is well-equipped too. A couple of things to note: there were quite a few mosquitoes in the room, so it would be great if the hotel management could take steps to address this issue. Also, the welcome drink was not very enjoyable — it seemed to be iced tea and tasted a bit bitter. Overall, a pleasant stay with great amenities and friendly service.

This was our third trip to the hotel (two consecutive trips in the same month) this time with our parents and friends. We booked 4 rooms for a one night stay. But I regret to say that we had a very bad experience during check out. During our check in, the reception staff confirmed that our friend's son (5 year old) will not be charged the kids supplement as a good will gesture since we were consodered as repeate customers and they also didn't attache the band on his hand. However on the checkout the reception said thay would have to now charge the supplementary fee dispite us arguing saying we had a wave off during check in. They said it was an oversight and the staff kept us standing for nearly 20 minutes while they ignored us and attended to other guests. The manager never came out even after numerous requests. After a lot of frustration and delay, we decided to pay the supplement. Finally my brother made a phone call and urgently requested that the manager come down to the lobby but they conveniently sent the asst. Manager instead. There was a lengthy argument but all they said is they could give us a discount etc. Paying the supplement was not an issue to us but it is the unprofessional approach of the reception staff is what I would like to highlight here. Afterall we are paying guests and expect to be treated with respect. The hotel needs to review the reception staff as some of them seem to be lacking professionalism. However, the housekeeping, pool and food and beverage staff were all exceptional and went out of their way to service us upon request. The pool bar is the best place to chill and have a drink while having a dip in the pool. The rooms are also clean and tidy. Unfortunately due to the above incident this would be our last visit to this hotel.
