Turyaa Kalutara

I am writing to express my sincere disappointment with the customer service and overall experience at Hotel Thurya during my recent stay with my wife and our six-month-old baby. Unfortunately, several issues caused unnecessary inconvenience and fell well below my expectations. 1. Unsuitable and Unsafe Bed Arrangement I booked a family room for my wife and our six-month-old baby. However, the double bed had been arranged by placing two single beds together, leaving a gap between the two mattresses. This arrangement raised serious concerns about my baby's safety while sleeping. I expected the hotel to provide a properly arranged and suitable bed, particularly for a family travelling with a young infant. 2. Unreasonable Delay in Providing Drinking Water I requested two bottles of drinking water from the reception. Despite waiting for nearly one hour and calling the reception twice, the bottles were not delivered. Eventually, I had to walk approximately 500 metres to the reception and make a complaint in person before receiving the requested water. This level of service is unacceptable, especially when guests have to repeatedly follow up on a simple request. 3. Delay in Providing the Room and Inconvenience to Our Baby Although my booking started at lunchtime, the room was provided only at approximately 2.00 p.m. I visited the branch at around 12.00 noon and had to wait until the room became available. As a result, I was unable to settle my six-month-old baby down for a proper nap between 12.00 noon and 2.00 p.m. This caused considerable inconvenience to our family, as rest and comfort are particularly important when travelling with a young baby. 4. Failure to Provide a Basic Room Amenity A doormat was not provided in the room. This was another disappointing aspect of the room arrangements, as a doormat is a basic amenity that helps maintain cleanliness and comfort. The absence of such a simple item further contributed to my dissatisfaction with the overall standard of service. Conclusion Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the standard of customer service and the arrangements provided by Hotel Thurya. These issues were not merely minor inconveniences; they affected our family's comfort, caused unnecessary delays, and raised concerns about the suitability of the room for guests travelling with an infant.

Staff were well co operative especially Mr. Balveer Singh. But nan were too hard after 5 min and gulab jamun and paneer matar masala and fried rice were very tasty . Remembers me my home

We had a truly wonderful experience at Turyaa Kalutara. From the moment we arrived, we enjoyed the calm, quiet, and relaxing atmosphere of the hotel. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well maintained, with the beautiful seaside surroundings adding to the overall experience. The staff were extremely polite, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay. Their hospitality really made a difference and helped make our holiday even more enjoyable. The food was one of the highlights of our stay. There was a great variety of dishes, and the quality was excellent. A special mention must go to Restaurant Manager Duminda, who was exceptionally attentive. He regularly checked on us and always made sure that we were comfortable and that everything was going well. His genuine care for the guests was very much appreciated. We would also like to thank Chef Nalinda and Chef Palawatta, who personally came to our table to ask about our experience with the food and genuinely wanted to hear our feedback. It was a lovely personal touch and showed how much the team cares about guest satisfaction. The hotel also has two very nice swimming pools, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We had a great beach experience as well, and the combination of the peaceful surroundings, pools, beach, excellent food, and wonderful service made our stay very relaxing. Overall, this was one of our best hotel experiences. A big thank you to the entire team at Turyaa Kalutara, especially Duminda, Chef Nalinda, and Chef Palawatta, for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable. We will definitely be happy to visit Turyaa Kalutara again!

Very Nice hotel. Location is very beautiful. I had a good experience with Turya. This is my first time in Sri Lanka. All staffs are very friendly and kindly. Front office team are very supportive and friendly. Foods are delicious. Thank you Turya. Rooms are very clean. They have very beautiful pool.

We had a wonderful and enjoyable stay at Turyaa Kalutara. The hotel has a beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food, and excellent hospitality throughout our stay. We were very happy with the service provided by the Front Office, Housekeeping, and Restaurant teams. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and attentive, making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay. A special mention to Sanjana, who provided excellent service and showed great care and kindness during our stay. She was very friendly, active, and always made us feel welcomed. We also really enjoyed her amazing dancing skills and the wonderful energy she shared with the animation team. Her positive attitude made our experience even more enjoyable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Turyaa Kalutara very much and created some wonderful memories. We truly appreciate the entire team for their excellent service and hospitality. Highly recommended, and we would definitely love to visit again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
