Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin

Sadly not the best experience. This Hotel is a huge work in progress The building noise was on some occasions from 8am to 8pm and it was difficult to find a peaceful place to enjoy a quiet place and chat. The room was looking directly over the building work with the workers looking at us on our balcony. It was a long walk from the room for breakfast and the smell of glue, drilling and dust was unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. It might be fine when all the work is completed but I think I would go somewhere else next time. It should have been completely closed for the extent of this renovation project. However I'm now happy staying at another hotel that is definitely giving me the 5 star experience. This place fell short on every mark.

Not sure how to start this review other than to say how disappointed and upset I am. Firstly I have stayed here more than 40 times even when it was Sofitel, rarely got upgraded and other than a bottle of their cheap wine no loyalty whatsoever I have brought family and friends here but never again. I’m not going into all the detail other than I left due to extensive building work, the room I was allocated and all the noise and unacceptable out of hours drilling I left and went to the intercontinental just down the road and oh my goodness I could not believe the difference however I came back to Centara again as they promised a better experience and room but once again let down. The air conditioning didn’t work which meant I had 4 engineers in the room at 11pm and the drilling noise at breakfast was the last straw so today I checked out for the last time. I was welcomed back at Intercontinental with a double room upgrade, Prosecco on arrival and complimentary club benefits. Jan and Aor have always been nice but I will never return.

Just had another fantastic stay at the Centara Grand Beach Resort Hua Hin. I would like to thank Jan and his amazing staff for their outstanding service. The staff there bend over backwards to make you feel welcome and relaxed I could not speak more highly of them. Special mention to Mon, Nam, Nim and Guitar in the dinning area and Nid in house keeping for their outstanding work. With the great staff in reception, including the Bell Boys, they all go together to make this resort a magnificent place to stay. Many thanks to you all for making our stay even better. Having stayed before and had a fantastic time. I chose to visit again. The hotel is just one big building site, with little information to warn you of the scale. The hotel should have been closed during this scal of renovation
