SO/ Bangkok

We had a lovely stay at SO Bangkok. The rooms are comfy and the views are amazing. Good location. The best part was the people. Our servers were fantastic, friendly, efficient. Our bartender, Nic was the best. He is creative and helpful. We had great conversations and delicious cocktails.

Good welcome and staff Noak nice to extend complimentary early check-in

Wasting Time Staying in this Hotel, Im as loyal Platinum Member Accor really dissatisfied about the service from operator ( call 0) The staff (woman) asnwer my call with zero attitude. Not friendly at all. This is first treated like this in 5 STAR HOTELS. I ask about my laundry and the staff speak unclearly, and i ask to repeat, she said really bad attitude spelling the words impolitely. And the lounge, i didnt know its the standart service at SO/ or not. No greeter standby / greet me while im coming to lounge, like no offering food/ drinks, until we take a seat, and we should ask the staff first. ( no initiative gesture) The room upgrade most of all my recent stay in 5 stars they give upgrade to Suite or minimum 2 lebel. not just one level or different rooms views, we got dusty room and small crowded room. Im checkin at night, the checkin process really slow and didnt escorted to lounge or offeering some drinks. The cockroach near sauna toilet was disgusting. Honestly recently stay at Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit the service and everything is prrfect. Really disappointed and never reccomended SO/ hotel at all. I hope the management riview the service quality, Lately I read the riview most of the people's revirw the bad of this hotel too.

This is definitely a designer hotel with interesting decor and room with different themes. We stayed at the wood themed room which is nice but a bit aged. The park view is great and it is also conveniently located near MRT Lumpini and One Bangkok, a huge high end shopping mall. The breakfast is also good and the spa has most skillful staff.

I chose SO/ Bangkok for a birthday stay, hoping to enjoy a special and relaxing occasion. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing, particularly in terms of service recovery and communication. I checked in shortly after 3:00 PM. The real issue began when I entered Room 2115 and immediately noticed a very strong and unpleasant smell. After reporting the issue and receiving no further update, I went to Reception myself to follow up. I was eventually escorted to the Club Lounge on the 25th floor and asked to wait while another room was prepared. I remained there until around 7:00 PM without receiving any update. When I finally approached the Club Lounge team myself, I was assisted with the replacement room. To my surprise, I was informed that the room had apparently been ready since shortly after 4:00 PM. This meant I had spent approximately three hours waiting unnecessarily simply because nobody informed me that the room was ready. I fully understand that operational issues can happen, especially during high occupancy. The problem with the original room itself was something that could have been resolved. What disappointed me was the lack of ownership, follow-up and proactive communication afterwards. It was particularly unfortunate because this was my birthday and I had specifically chosen SO/ Bangkok for the occasion. Following my stay, I also wrote directly to the hotel management to share my experience constructively and give them an opportunity to respond. As of the time of writing this review, I have unfortunately not received any response. I appreciate the team members who did try to assist me. However, for a hotel of SO/ Bangkok’s positioning, I expected a much stronger level of service recovery, communication and management follow-up. I sincerely hope the hotel takes this feedback constructively and improves how similar situations are handled in the future.
