Apsara Beachfront Resort & Villa

Location-wise, it doesn’t get much better than this! Situated right in front of the beach, this resort feels like a hidden gem. It has a premium feel, with beautifully renovated rooms and facilities, and stunning Decor that perfectly captures the tropical vibe. The resort features three incredible restaurants, offering everything from traditional Thai cuisine to Italian food and a variety of international dishes. A special highlight is Karkinos, one of the resort’s standout restaurants and a must-visit during your stay. On weekends, they also host live music, which is absolutely wonderful and adds an extra-special atmosphere to the dining experience. The location is fantastic, right next to the famous Memories Beach, where you can enjoy great food and drinks, rent surfboards, and take part in various beach activities. The resort offers a great selection of daily activities, including cooking classes, yoga sessions, bike rides, and surfing opportunities, with surfboard rentals available. Whether you prefer an active holiday or simply want to relax and unwind, there is something for everyone. There are also 3 beautiful swimming pools, offering plenty of space to relax and enjoy the tropical surroundings. For those looking for a more private and exclusive experience, the villas are located on the other side of the river. They can be accessed via the bridge, or you can take advantage of the resort’s convenient transport service. Getting around is easy, too, thanks to the resort’s shuttle service, which takes guests to the main village and local market. The staff are truly outstanding: incredibly friendly, caring, and always willing to go the extra mile. They genuinely make the hotel feel like a home away from home. The breakfast buffet is incredible, offering fresh fruit, international and traditional dishes, and something for everyone. Whether you prefer pancakes or waffles with scrambled eggs, or a traditional chicken broth noodle soup, you’ll find plenty of delicious options. There are also fresh juices and extra-special dishes on the weekends. The resort also features a very good spa and massage center, perfect for relaxing and unwinding after a day of activities. Our 2nd visit to this beautiful hotel.we have now stayed villa side and resort side of the hotel this time with a beautiful sea view and cannot fault it.. The staff all around the hotel cannot do enough for you and such beautiful people inside and out. Apsara is a hidden gem. We booked off season, & although the weather forecasts were for thunderstorms we had glorious sunshine almost every day. My wife & I booked an all inclusive room with swim up pool for 11 nights..& wish we booked longer...we could literally walk from our pool...to the beach in 20 seconds. The room was very clean & well maintained with fresh indoor & outdoor towels regularly, sheets changed and bottles of water left for us daily if we chose not to get our room cleaned. With it came a great view of the Andaman Sea and its beautiful white sand beach. All staff, from the cleaners, to reception staff, to the restaurant staff..to the bar staff at Karakinos beach front bar were extremely polite and attentive. We didn't stay in the resort the whole time, we walked to Memories bar at low tide and took the hotel shuttle bus to Bang Niang (only about 10 minutes away)..to visit the Tsunami Memorial and catch a Thai Boxing match....Khao Lak centre is a few minutes futher away....but watching the sun go down at Karakinos was special. We also treated ourselves to massages at the Spa in the resort which we can also thoroughly recommend....they do those both indoors and outdoors....we chose indoors for its relaxing atmosphere. Food wise & drink wise..we didn't have one bad meal.. ( thai food, steak, salmon..etc)...and the choices of cocktails & smoothies you can have at the bar were more that I had seen at other resorts we have stayed at. This was our third time in Kao Lak....but I would definitely return to Apsara again
