Barceló Coconut Island Phuket

Unfortunately, our stay was not quite the paradise getaway we had hoped for, especially considering that this is a five-star hotel. First of all, guests should be informed in advance that there are no doors separating the rooms. An air freshener is also needed in the toilet, especially given the lack of doors. The terrace doors did not close properly, allowing frogs, lizards, and other small animals to get into our room. The jacuzzi area should be better protected against wildlife, and the jacuzzi itself worked intermittently. The showers also need to be replaced or, at the very least, thoroughly cleaned. The TV in the room was very old and too small for a five-star hotel. We also experienced issues with the smoke detector malfunctioning and the toilet getting clogged. Breakfast lacked variety, as the same food was served every day. In my opinion, the food was not particularly tasty either. Unfortunately, the reception staff were not particularly friendly. We got the impression that they just wanted to get rid of us as quickly as possible, rather than make us feel welcome. Overall, the stay was disappointing and fell short of our expectations for a five-star hotel. With better maintenance, improved service, more varied breakfast options, and greater attention to guests' comfort, the experience could be much better.

Amazing place, I would advise people to come here!

We absolutely loved the service at Laku! Vanessa, Mau, Kurt, Lacey and Will were all amazing so friendly, welcoming and always incredibly attentive. They went above and beyond to make our experience in Thailand even more special. We’ll definitely return to Thailand and Barceló Coconut Island. Thank you all for making our honeymoon unforgettable! ❤️

An absolutely wonderful stay! The entire property is beautifully maintained and even more stunning in person than in the photos. Every member of the staff was exceptionally professional, warm, and friendly, and the service was truly outstanding from start to finish. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely come back to spend more time here. Highly recommended!
