La Vela Khao Lak

The location is right on the beachfront, it has a relaxed atmosphere and amazing pool access rooms. The steps into the pool are a plus for older or mobility restricted people, but the hand rail needs to go all the way up the steps as it is awkward to take that first step in. Fantastic value as we went in low season and the rooms are very clean. They even had a dehumidifier in there which keeps the air inside a little drier. It can be a little noisy in and around the pool as lots of families, but otherwise, there is not a lot of noise to be heard walking around other parts of the resort. Breakfast had a huge variety of foods and even a coffee station to make your preferred brew. The service was pretty good and particularly Aod Sport (I think that's his name) made sure our stay was very enjoyable. The beach club has the extensive seafood buffet on certain nights, and for non seafood lovers (like me), they also have various steaks and other dishes which are cooked to your liking, so you will certainly not go hungry. The atmosphere at the beach club is pretty good too, as they do an amazing fire show, plus a bar tender bottle twirling demonstration. Booking is essential for this buffet as it gets packed!!!

This is a very nice resort directly on the beach. A bit of a hike to the main road but there are some shops not far from the entrance. We had a pool access room that was quite spacious with a large bathroom and easy access to the pool with steps and a hand rail. As we were in low season the rate was quite good representing excellent value for a resort of this quality. The rooms and resort were very clean with no issues at all. The Staff were all excellent with a special thank you to Aod for looking after us. They have a fantastic buffet and fire show at their beach restaurant which is the best fire show I've seen in Thailand so far. Breakfast was good with barista made coffee an added bonus.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lovely hotel with excellent staff We had a really enjoyable stay at La Vela Khao Lak. The hotel is lovely, with beautiful facilities and a very relaxing atmosphere. Our room was comfortable, clean and nicely presented, and the breakfast had a great selection with plenty of good choices each morning. The staff were especially friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, which really made a difference. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was excellent. Overall, a fantastic hotel in Khao Lak and somewhere we would happily stay again. Highly recommen

The room was a good size, clean with a comfortable bed. Loved the layout of the room with plenty of space to access your luggage. Bathroom was stocked with good quality toiletries. Linen and towels could have been better. The pools were extensive, great to have an adults only pool. There were plenty of lounges. The grounds were well maintained. The beach was okay no swimming whilst we were there due to conditions. Plenty of shops, tailors and local restaurants and bars an easy walk from the resort. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Using the resort app was excellent for booking cleaning and ordering supplies. Breakfast was close to reception and would have been nice to have a view of the sea. Meals at the Beach Club were just okay often cold and not much flavour. The food could have been better. The fire show is well worth booking a table for- excellent entertainment. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at La Vela.

My two nights at La Vela were truly amazing. The staff were so welcoming, especially the front office team, restaurant staff and the restaurant manager, Ms. Sarah. The great service and lovely room were unforgettable.
