We could not have made a better choice for our 10 day holiday in February 2026 than Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa. Our goals for escaping the dark and cold Finnish winter and getting injected with warmth and sun were the following: 1. relax by the sea and pool, 2. eat amazing food and don't worry about where, what or how much to eat, 3. disconnect from the regular day-to-day, phones etc., 4. read books, 5. enjoy the tropical environment of Thailand and 6. sleep well. These might sound like basic requirements, but we have high standards. Renaissance Phuket was able to hit these out of the park and more. For example, I didn't expect to work out at one of the best gyms I've gone to. Super clean, well equipped and the staff proactively helps you set up. Nor did I expect the pool to be literally huge (it's like 20-25m long!). We didn't anticipate fire shows during dinner or for the scenery to be so beautiful around the resort. The place feels like the buildings and pathways have been built respecting the nature and it's shapes. Not so that a lot was bulldozed for buildings and then some artificial feeling plantation was added. We had a villa with a private pool for a family of four which added to the peace and tranquility. The villa was landscaped beautifully and the architecture felt really local while being luxurious. The housekeeping did an excellent job in keeping everything tidy and setting our place up for different times of the day. In the evening, we could watch little lizards and frogs wandering around our gated yard and enjoying evening dips in the pool. We got the all-inclusive package, which you could debate on if it is worth it or not value wise. If you eat and drink a lot, then it may be and if not, then you can also go without. Since we had goal #3, we felt it was worth it since we didn't have to think about anything related to eating or enjoying refreshments by the pool. The all-inclusive gives you access to the three restaurants (Sand Box, Takieng and Loca Vore). You can enjoy literally as much as you want since you can, for example, order any portions from Sand Box to the pool and beach area within their opening hours. We normally just had breakfast, lunch and dinner. Then enjoyed drinks through the day near the main pool and beach area. Me and my wife woke up early a few mornings and went to the beach to see the daylight emerge. There was literally nobody else on the beach than us. If you are looking for a resort filled with rows of sunbeds and a flat 100m beach until the waterline, this is not for you. If you, on the otherhand, want to experience an authentic beach, this might be for you. However, what really made our trip memorable and enjoyable was the unforeseen service attitude, proactiveness and kindness of the four men serving the pool and beach areas. They helped guests move sun chairs (or rather insisted to move them for them), brought towels and of course took care of the food and drink servings. They also had nice humor which made our days fun. Special thanks go out to R, Aod, Sun and Sek. We are looking forward to returning to Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa next year for another relaxing and worry-free winter holiday.

Just returned home after our 8th visit, it just keeps getting better and better. We were made to feel so welcomed when we arrived. All staff are exceptional and very helpful. The Hotel and its grounds are immaculately kept. We had a few days when we could swim in the sea when it was calm. We were there for Songkran and had an amazing day celebrating the new year and ending the day with a buffet and entertainment. Our Villa was a lovely retreat to return to with the cool air con after the heat some days. It was cleaned twice a day and sometimes we were left towels made into animals sculptures. I have no doubt we will be returning soon. There are too many name to mention. So big Thankyou to you all.
