Wyndham Grand Nai Harn Beach Phuket

My wife & I stayed here for 11 nights in February going in to March and we had a nice time . The hotel is very clean and modern, most of the staff are very welcoming and happy . We arrived around 8-30 am and got a welcome drink as we were checking in , although our room was not ready we left our luggage there and went to the beach ( two sunbeds and a parasol for 200 Baht bargain ) when we got back a few ours later our luggage was already taken to our room which was a nice touch. Room was lovely big balcony not a great view but ok . First day we forgot not to flush toilet paper and blocked the toilet which was sorted within 15 minutes. I do think they should have some sort of sign on display regarding what you can put down the toilet just as a reminder as every toilet we used outside the hotel had one displayed. Housekeeping was very good cleaned every day if you so choose. We went breakfast only and it was served from 6-30 am until 10-30 we usually went down around 8-30 and that worked well as it wasn’t over busy . They had something for everyone at breakfast and it was nice also they had 5 coffee machines so hardly any Ques for a nice coffee. The sun bed situation needs sorting at 8am all sun beds were taken most days which we didn’t have a problem as we prefer the beach but if you prefer the pool you have no chance of a bed after 8 -830 . We had a nice dinner at hotel one night as we just wanted to chill . There is entertainment but not a lot and as the hotel is quite small the music is kept low . They do a disco once a week which we thought we would give it a go but there was simply no one there and felt sorry for the dj . The shuttle bus down to the beach was good left on the hour from 9 am . It’s a 15 minute walk to the beach and we did that most of the time but as there is a lot of work going on it’s not a pleasant scenery and no real path to walk on !! Same if you want to go to the local restaurants or shops no path and quite dangerous. Most of the trips we done elephants, James Bond island, Yona beach club , night market we’re in or near to Phuket which they say a taxi would take 30 minutes but as we found out in rush hour it could take 60 to 90 minutes!!! Get a bolt taxi or a grab taxi just down load there app as it’s much cheaper than a normal taxi . We had a truly amazing time and we will definitely be coming back to Thailand but probably not this hotel only as it was a little to far out from where we wanted to be but if you want a quiet relaxing hotel this would be be great .

Great pool - not nearly enough sunbeds, good rooms - only in the building surrounding the main pool. Kids pool is useless and trapped between buildings. VERY bad to move around with a stroller.

Great resort with everything you need. Staff are excellent, very helpful and with a smile that lights up your day. Food was excellent in the restaurants and the buffet breakfast had an amazing selection. Loved this place and would come back again.
