AQI Skanes Family Resort

We all had a great holiday the hotel was clean and staff were great. The weather was very good for October. The only problem we had was a very early morning departure from the hotel. We could not any food to eat from the restaurant due to the time we were leaving, would it be possible to have bags of food and drink to take to the airport for this early start

This was our second visit and there will most definitely be a third. On arrival reception was very organised and we were swiftly issued our key cards and towel cards (free) whilst refreshments were served. Our cases were whisked away and we were led to our room, which was large, modern and pristine. Shock horror we tipped the man who had lugged our very heavy cases because we would do the same in Jamaica, Thailand etc for a good service. We had a triple wardrobe in the bed room and double in the hallway, the bathroom was tastefully tiled and spotlessly clean and clean towels were provided everyday. There's a hairdryer and kettle in the room and the coffee, tea and milk was replenished everyday. The bedding was changed regularly and the room was cleaned daily to a high standard. Meal times were a pleasure, how anyone can find fault is beyond me, these guys cater for tennis players from all over the world and there is something for everyone. Omelette, 5 types of porridge, boiled,fried eggs, cold meats and cheeses, pastries, large variety of breads, sausages, cereals, fruits and salad are some of the foods that come to mind for breakfast alone. Lunch and dinner also had the salads, fruits etc plus assorted rice and potatoes, Tunisian dishes, joints of meat freshly carved, fresh grilled fish and prawns, cooked veg, freshly made pastas, pizzas and a huge variety of desserts. As soon as you sit, your drinks order is taken and a fresh bottle of water is placed on your table, dirty plates are whisked away and staff are always very polite and friendly and we found that was the case with all staff eg bar staff, security, cleansing and not once did we feel obliged to tip but we always did because of the excellent service provided. With in minutes of reporting the shower gel had run out and my dryer not working it was rectified, I cannot fault the service these hard working individuals provide. There's also a very popular snack bar looking over the beach and 2 other restaurants all serving great food. There's plenty of loungers round the pool and beach and these areas are kept spotless and security on the beach are always happy to move loungers and chat and just gives you that feeling all is well. Management have a large input and are visible through out the day making sure things are running smoothly. Lastly the entertainment, during the day we like to do our own thing but there's plenty going on if thats what you like, especially for the children which extends into the evening. We particularly liked the Brazilian dancers which we have seen on both visits and caught a few of the other shows. It's not for everyone and sometimes we played cards in the reception bar with music on in the background. May be an artist singing in this bar where there's mainly adults and a small area to dance where the mini disco takes place or even an adult space in the hall from 10pm just some music to have a dance for a couple of hours would be nice. All in all we have come home, batteries fully charged, after a fabulous 2 weeks, meeting other guests and staff who we now consider friends and would highly recommend to anyone thinking of visiting.

After reading the other reviews I thought I would air mine after returning back from there after a weeks stay Yesterday , 23/10/26. The Airport Transportation Too and from the Hotel was excellent. On arrival at the Hotel we noticed that Certain areas were in need of updating, There is Grubby looking Carpet throughout the Hallways , The upgrades that had been addressed were to a very poor standard. We found our room Cold and after using the Shower the Steam caused the bedding to become damp as there was no extraction in the Bathroom. Shower facilities were good , extremely Hot water on demand. The Hotel is very noisy of a Night mainly caused by other guests that have no respect for others that may be in bed , returning to there rooms. Tea / Coffee in room + Fridge , you are given 2 x Large Bottle s of Water on arrival , and when you need more just ask at the Bars / reception, they will supply Milk too . The House Keeping staff are fantastic, working extremely hard every day to keep your rooms very clean. All Drinks were to a very poor quality and in some cases tasted watered down. The Food in the main hall each evening was very basic , but edible.The service in the restaurant was very good . The Beach Roll bar was fantastic , opened at 11:30 every day for fresh rolls. Regarding Tips , the staff around the Pool were expecting tips every time they brought you a drink. The Pool was freezing every day , and the music around the Pool was at an unnecessary level too. The entertainment daytime and evening was poor. The floor on the outside entertainment area often gets very slippery due to the humidity levels , so watch your step. Do not entertain any trips run by Ali Bar Ba just to save a few pounds , you will regret it. The Beach is anything but nice to look at and it’s littered with heavy amounts of rubbish . Turning Right onto the beach and walking down towards the rocks , we found a carcass of what ( due to its size ) looked like a headless Goat . The on site shop is expensive Tat , there is another shop in the next hotel down on the right hand side after accessing the Beach from the Roll Hut. That sells Trainers , Footie Tops etc , always barter. There is nowhere to walk outside of the complex of a night as everywhere is extremely dirty and rundown. As for Value for money , if you have young children yes , it’s probably for you , but as we have been to many Holiday Villages over the years this is far the worst. This is constructive criticism , Not just a Negative review. To say it’s fantastic is an understatement, and if others think this is fantastic , they will be blown away at other Holiday Village experiences. If you can afford somewhere else , my advice is , go for it .

Can not really complain, apart from the the music, on until 6 2 hours after everyone had got, no point in that, we are in however 60is, but we didn't mind it we now people will young families do, cut it off at 4 food his dreadful, unless you can eat anything, but breakfast is ok, but that's what you get, only person I tipped was the bar man at night, give him 20 denar he will bring your drinks to your table every night, without standing in a queue for small drinks, I would go again, but food is good if can eat anything

Honestly one of the best hotels we’ve gone to in a long time … Hotel is very clean Pools and pool area is very clean Food was really good All drinks ( soft and alcohol) were really good too. Bar staff couldn’t do enough for you same as all the other staff also! all staff ( restaurant, bar, cleaners, and entertainment people) and others I may have not mentioned were all amazing and friendly also They have two main pools a quiet pool and a pool with music, we stayed around the pool with the music and it was great the atmosphere was great and relaxing too Only thing I will say is we had a room with stairs and the stairs are not the best my nephew fell down them many times aswell as falling up them many times along with me and my kids that’s the only negative for me Lovely place to stay! And we will definitely be back!! We all had the best time ❤️ there was 11 of us 🙏❤️
