Concorde Green Park Palace

We had a wonderful stay at Green Park! The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The rooms are spacious, the swimming pool is excellent, and the atmosphere is relaxing and enjoyable. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the location is great, close to the beach and marina.❤️ Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely come back. Highly recommended! 😍😍

Overall There were genuinely good parts to our stay, particularly the pool, the size of the rooms and some excellent members of staff. However, the food and some strangely complicated systems really let the hotel down. With a few fairly simple operational improvements, this could be a much better hotel. Food and main buffet Unfortunately, the food was by far the weakest part of the holiday. The biggest problem was temperature. Food was routinely lukewarm or cold, regardless of when we arrived. The only reliable way of getting something genuinely hot was to take it directly from the chef immediately after it had been cooked. The selection was also incredibly random. There might be a burger patty, but no buns or anything you'd normally expect alongside it. The burger could be sitting next to baked beans, a piece of fish and mashed potato. This wasn't a one-off either, it seemed to be the theme throughout the week. I found myself eating a lot of salad simply because I could actually put together something that resembled a complete meal. One day there were even sushi rolls wrapped in cheese rather than seaweed. I've travelled quite a bit, but that was a new one for me! There is a BBQ lunch area next to the pool, which I thought was better than the main buffet, although the selection was still fairly limited. À la carte restaurant You receive one visit to an à la carte restaurant during the week, so we were looking forward to this and dressed accordingly. Unfortunately, it was probably the strangest meal of the holiday. We sat down to find bread on the table that was unbelievably stale. No amount of butter was saving it. It was less "freshly baked" and more the SAS of bread: extremely tough and seemingly capable of surviving anything. We were then surprised to discover that the starter was partly self-service. Everyone had dressed up for a restaurant meal, only to find ourselves standing in a long queue for salad. Even more strangely, it was essentially the same salad available in the main buffet, just with fewer choices. Then came the actual starter: a deep-fried omelette. Nothing else. Just an omelette, deep fried, sitting on a plate. The main course consisted of two pieces of fish, one of which unfortunately wasn't properly cooked through, two cold prawns and some lukewarm rice. At one point, the gentleman at the table next to us simply shook his head, stood up and left. I understood the sentiment. Dessert was self-service again, so rather than queue there we went back into the main buffet, where there was a much larger selection. As we hadn't eaten much of the main course, we also found some other food. I somehow ended the evening eating a boiled egg with some curry, which probably tells you everything you need to know about the dining experience. Restaurant organisation Some really simple logistical changes would make an enormous difference. Tables generally have a knife and fork, although if the table has just been cleared you may have nothing and need to find a member of staff to ask for cutlery. Meanwhile, your already-lukewarm food is getting colder. Spoons appear to be particularly elusive. We eventually discovered some near the soup, which incidentally seemed to be available at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Otherwise, if you wanted dessert you either had to find a member of staff and request a spoon or, as I did on occasion, clean your fork with a napkin and crack on. Salt and pepper was another surprisingly complicated affair. There simply weren't enough shakers for the tables. If you asked for salt, a member of staff might literally have to ask another table whether they had finished with theirs before bringing it over to you. These aren't major investments. More cutlery stations and enough salt and pepper for the tables would make the restaurant operate much more smoothly. Pool and poolside service This was one of the highlights. The pool is huge and we spent most of every day relaxing around it. We tipped one of the poolside staff on our first day and, to be fair to him, he looked after us brilliantly for the entire week. Excellent service, friendly and attentive. I genuinely couldn't fault him. Pool towels Getting a pool towel was unexpectedly complicated. We initially went to the towel hut near the beach and were told we needed a ticket from reception. So we walked back across the resort to reception, where we were then told there was a €15 cash deposit per towel and cards weren't accepted. I then had to go back to my room to get cash, return to reception, hand over the deposit, have the cash placed into an envelope behind the desk, receive a ticket, walk all the way back to the beach, exchange the ticket for a towel and finally return to the sun lounger. I actually found the whole thing quite amusing, but it seems unnecessarily complicated. I'm perfectly capable of walking backwards and forwards across the resort, but I could imagine it being particularly frustrating for an elderly guest or someone with limited mobility. Rooms The rooms were large, comfortable and probably one of the strongest aspects of the hotel. I had a room to myself and so did the person I travelled with. Mine was spacious, with a balcony, bath, separate shower and his-and-hers sinks. The bed was clean and comfortable. Housekeeping could have been more thorough before arrival. There was an opened bottle of drink left in my fridge and rubbish still in the bin. Personally, this didn't particularly bother me, although obviously it shouldn't really happen. Overall though, I was very happy with the room. Reception and check-in Excellent. The staff who checked us in were helpful, friendly and polite. No complaints whatsoever here and they made a very good first impression. Reception bar There was unfortunately a very strange smell around the reception bar. The best way I can describe it is the smell you get if milk has been spilt and wiped away without the area actually being properly cleaned. Whenever staff opened the door behind the bar, a particularly strong waft of it would come out. It wasn't pleasant and is definitely something the hotel should investigate. Staff I'd say around 80% of the staff were genuinely lovely. Many were friendly, helpful and would go out of their way for you. The poolside service in particular was excellent. There were a small number, particularly around dinner service, who could be dismissive or occasionally rude and gave the impression that they really didn't want to be there. However, I wouldn't want that criticism to overshadow the many members of staff who worked hard and treated us extremely well. Final thoughts There is actually a lot to like about this hotel. The pool is excellent, the rooms are spacious, check-in was great and several members of staff provided outstanding service. But the food needs significant improvement, particularly temperature, quality and the seemingly random combinations available. The restaurant also needs some very basic operational improvements: enough cutlery, spoons, salt and pepper, and simpler processes. Some of these problems would cost very little to fix, which is perhaps why they stand out so much. We still enjoyed our holiday and could laugh about many of the quirks, but the dining experience prevents me from rating the hotel as highly as I otherwise would. I don't believe I would visit again or recommend this place any time soon.

Without a doubt, the entertainment team was one of the best I have ever experienced. Every activity—from yoga to volleyball, Zumba, aerobics, and more—was fantastic and led with enthusiasm and joy! All in all, not just the team but the entire hotel is so amazing that I have absolutely no complaints!
