Before we left the UK I had read the reviews of this hotel and I was worried ! However we had a wonderful time and this is my honest review. The hotel is very big lots of people but it didn't feel crowded. On arrival we were late to check in due to a complications at the airport, i telephoned reception to let them know we were delayed and they saved is dinner for when we arrived which was after midnight which was very nice. Our room were clean and tidy and our maid was excellent (585) i didn't get her name but she cleaned well everyday, fresh towels each day. She took the dirty ones in the morning and new ones returned about 4pm, new bottled water each day and there are complimentary toiletries. The maid even folded my husband clothes. We had a spacious room inside the hotel, it has a TV (there are two channels in English which are films) and a small fridge we put out water into. The hotel has been there a long time so don't expect it to be new and modern in finish, the rooms are a little tired but they are clean and comfortable. And most importantly it had air-conditioning. Is you want a safe they are in the lobby area. We never faught for sun loungers didn't have to be up at the crack of dawn to put your towel down, 2 pools for adults and 2 for children. The beach is beautiful, white sand and lots of sun loungers never over crowded. Lots of bars to get drinks, there's the lobby bar, the downstairs lobby bar and the pool bar and beach bar so getting a drink on our all inclusive was never difficult or long. The staff were all friendly and helpful. A lot of reviews said the staff were rude but this was not our experience, they were very helpful and polite. If your not used to the way Arabic people speak to one another it can come across as if there shouting or being hostile but this is not so it's just there culture to be expressive. Tipping does go a long way here but no more than it would in the US or any other country. We still had great service from the staff when we didn't tip. (1-5TD is enough). The choice of food is excellent. The themed food nights are good too. My biggest tip is go to the beach restaurant, it's quieter has an al a carte menue but you can have as much as you want, they do a BBQ buffet in the evening 😋 and the view from the beach is beautiful, Haithem manages the restaurant he was amazing, his team was very nice and polite and helpful and the food is wonderful and the restaurant is clean and you can see them cooking your food fresh. There is security people all the time, day and night and even on the beach so you feel very safe all the time. They even check the people driving in and out to the hotel. There is a money exchange here, rate of exchange was the same as the bank but they only take cash. If you are taking card there is an ATM, max take out is 300TD (about £70) but there is an exchange fee of £5 each time. I used the spa twice, the message was great the spa man will try to get you to book more massages and the more expensive ones but I stuck to my guns and had what I wanted. There are packages you can book that allow you have have a treatment each day they are around 500-600TD which is around £150-200. My 60 minute massage cost 100TD (£25) head to toes and it was wonderful. My suggestions are:- take a Stanley flask with you if you have one or a large drinks bottle, that way your drinks are cold and last longer (but tip the bar people if they are filling them all day for you). Go in the sea in the morning it's cooler and the water is calmer, do not leave food out in your room you attrack the ants, go to the beach restaurant to eat. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and would go back, go with an open mind and embrace the culture. If you want souvenirs go to the AliBabar shop 5 minutes walk from the hotel it's on 4 floors and the pottery is great value for money. We did travel outside of the hotel, taxi are cheap put haggle and agree a price we paid 30TD to get to Souse and 10 to port el kantious (its a 25 minute walk but in 41 degree heat its better in a taxi). I would recommend The port is nice you will be dragged into shops to buy but be weary of the fake bags they charge a high price even when bartering but the names on the bags are often miss spelt, which I fell for and paid £30 for a Christain doir bag instead of a Christian dior bag, lesson learnt 😀. My family think it's hilarious 😂 We also went to Mall of Souse (6min drive from hotel and should be 5TD in a taxi but tourist rate at night was 10TD which i didnt care cos thats £2.50) go for food here if you are craving fast food it has a KFC and Burger king, but Chilli's resturant was the best the burgers were amazing and we only paid £13.60 for 2 burgers with fries 3 drinks the food was great. We did go to the collousium in EL Jem only 20TD (£5) to get in and its an amazing Roman architecture. All.in all Tunisia is a great holiday destination and just 3 hour plane journey makes it amazing place to say and visit 😀

If you are SOLO traveller I don’t recommend this hotel because they don't respect women, especially if they travel alone. Cleanness of dinning room is bad. You cant reach reception because hotel phone is not working. When I came to room 1 st day, There was not even bottle of water in room, no cattle, it was 2 am …. i felt terrible
