I was very sceptical about coming here after reading lots of negative reviews, however I very quickly realised that the reviews I read were not true. This was my families first time in Tunisia and well, it was one of the best holidays I’ve had. We arrived to the hotel 3hrs before check in and had our room within 20mins of arrival. The rooms are pretty basic however we only use the room to sleep in. The only major issue we had in our room was there was a window from the bathroom to the bedroom/lounge area, this meant when one was showering everyone else had to sit on the balcony just so we could get some privacy, this window needs completely frosting out. Food - always plenty to choose from even for fussy eaters. All waiters very friendly and helpful and always greeted us with a smile on their faces Bar - No long queues, drinks were good, especially the tequila sunrise. Bar staff polite and friendly. Entertainment - well this was the best part of our holiday, there was daytime and evening entertainment, if you get involved then you’ll be in for a good holiday. Massive shoutout to Mina and Mino who made our holiday and unforgettable one, these two work so hard and get to know each person to make it more of a personal experience. Mina also prepared a decorated table for my son’s 14th birthday and put karaoke on for him. Outstanding pair and was an honour to meet both and hope to return next year to come and see them again. My partner booked this hotel a few months ago, as a last-minute holiday. We did a bit of research before coming to the Port of EL Kantaoui. We found some of the comments about the hotel rather interesting, so here is my take on it. 1. When we arrived, we were actually 3 hours early, but within 30 mins they allocated us a room. It was a family room, so there was my partner and I and my stepdaughter and stepson, 16 and 14 respectively. 2. The room was ok; however, strangely there was a full-length glass corner section from the bathroom facing into the bedroom. Fair enough, it was frosted glass, but it put the two kids off; however, in the bathroom it was apparent that the room wasn't ready. i went back down to reception, who immediately changed the room to what was an upgraded part of the hotel. Yet, strangely, there was a small window on the wall from the bathroom next to the shower facing the bedroom. This is obviously a modern design for the hotel, 3. The hotel is a bit dated; however, you can see that management is working on an upgrade model for the hotel. 4. The Staff all i can say is that they were 100% hard-working individuals. Our rooms were cleaned on a daily basis, fresh sheets and towels every day, floors cleaned and mopped. Bar staff on hand at all times; no issues with getting a drink. 5. I saw some comments about the food. Yes, it was almost the same food every day, but there was over 20 different types of meals you could have every day so I don't understand why people were moaning on TripAdvisor. 6. Whilst the weather was outstanding, we had two nights of lightning storms; however as soon as it cleared, the staff were out cleaning up the pool area so that people could get out and enjoy themselves so a massive well done to the team. Negatives. 1. We were told that there was a customer service manager called Maureen. she never introduced herself once to us, infact we realised after 3 days she was the one sitting in the pool area getting served drinks all day and night, including her friends who were not part of the hotel? One of the rules is that you are not allowed to take food out of the restaurant area; however, if you were part of her group, you could take out what you wanted. Double standards. infact i found her party of friends to be disgusting and rude sometimes all sitting at the table talking loudly about Maureen's ex-husband and what they would do to him while younger people were in the bar area. I had to bite my tongue as a member of her party slagging off comments made on TripAdvisor. PROS. As I have said, the whole staff throughout was fantastic; however, a special mention to two of the entertainment team, Mino and Mina, who absolutely made our time magical they way they engaged with everyone and got everyone to engage with the activities, not just the children but the adults as well. Massive well done to the two stars, and not forgetting Aswad (I'm sure that's their boss's name lol); he was also great at engaging with all visitors. it was Kyans 14th birthday and Mina made sure it was a great experience for him by organising a fully decorated table and a massive birthday cake well done. We as a family would go back again, as im sure the hotel is striving to upgrade certain things within the hotel. This was our first trip to Tunisia, and it was a fantastic experience

the animation team was very good but the rooms werent good for families and Morine was very loud and rude. she wasnt approachable and was drunk every day and night.

Hotel was lovely, great room, comfy bed, a lovely ensuite, pool and bar facilities were amazing and we had a brilliant time here, everything was very clean, and all the staff were lovely, Hotel is a short walk away from the Beach, Marina, and plenty of bars and shops around, waterpark across the road. There is a night club across the road but this didnt cause us any noise issues, The only downside from us was the food, it was disappointing but we still ate well every day. Would have been nice to get some sort of information pack from the hotel on Check in, we didn't find out till the last day that the hotel has a section of beach that all you can use and still get all inclusive drinks etc Would 100% come back!
