I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share our experience to help others make an informed decision. Unfortunately, our stay at House Beach Golf & Aquapark Hotel in Tunisia was nothing like what was advertised or what we expected. Instead of enjoying a relaxing family holiday, we spent much of our time dealing with problems, feeling stressed, upset and, at times, in tears. From the very first day, I reported serious concerns about our room. It was dirty, poorly maintained and, in my opinion, not fit for guests. During our stay we were moved between three different rooms, which clearly showed that the original accommodation was not acceptable. Constantly packing and unpacking completely disrupted our holiday. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was very poor. Our room floor was never cleaned once during the entire stay, and our bed linen was never changed. I ended up cleaning the floor myself using toilet paper. The only positive point was that fresh towels were provided daily. The all-inclusive food service was one of the biggest disappointments. The hotel was severely overcrowded, with queues stretching around 20 metres just to get food. By the time you finally reached the front, many dishes had already run out. On several occasions, staff were serving food with their bare hands, which raised serious hygiene concerns. The entertainment was also disappointing, with almost everything conducted in Arabic. As international guests, we felt completely excluded and unable to participate. Around the pool, there appeared to be different rules for different nationalities. Some guests were allowed to jump into the pool, smoke and drink in the water without any issue, while others were immediately whistled at and told off for similar behaviour. It left us feeling unfairly treated. One of the most upsetting experiences happened at the snack bar. I was refused a panini because I would not give a male staff member my phone number. After refusing, I was never able to get one again. As a female traveller, this made me feel extremely uncomfortable and disrespected. Our final day summed up the entire holiday. I paid extra for a late checkout, but when we returned to our room, the key card didn’t work. I went to reception three separate times to have it reactivated, but it still failed. Reception staff eventually told me to ask the cleaners to let us in. The cleaners refused, repeatedly saying, “Departure, lady,” despite the fact I had paid for late checkout. After sitting on the floor outside my room in tears because all of our belongings were locked inside, someone finally opened the door. I do want to mention one positive. The hotel manager was kind, listened to my concerns, moved us to a third room and told me to contact her directly if we experienced any further issues. I appreciated her efforts, but I don’t believe guests should spend their holiday constantly reporting problems and chasing solutions. We were there to relax and make happy memories, not to deal with daily complaints. I understand this is a budget hotel, and I wasn’t expecting luxury. However, I do expect basic cleanliness, edible and accessible food, respectful treatment, a safe environment and accommodation that matches what is advertised. Sadly, this holiday was one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve had, and I would not choose to stay at this hotel again and it has also ruined my whole impression of Tunisia which now I will never go back again.

Arrived from a previous hotel after a move checked in only to take tourist tax no bands given key card given no help or nothing ....after pulling our cases up 4 flights of stairs the room was OK no tv no fridge no kettle by the way I paid an extra lot of money to be moved..... same night I walked in the restaurant to be told I could only have 3 chicken nuggets and couldn't leave with my plate ... we booked the al a carte to be served a warm prawn on wilted brown lettuce dusted in chilli flakes then arrived a small piece of lasagne which was cold then a bowl of chicken soup swimming with grease which was horrible and then some cold spaghetti and some slimy chicken (presentation was good ) then after chasing round i booked the snack bar which a pizza came not good and a steak after reminding them we had ordered it came an hour later which was like rubber and chips that wasn't cooked and cold rice .... the restaurant opens at 12.30 but 12 o clock people are lining up round the place a panini takes over an hour to get as they only cook 6 at a time if you go to the bar you have wait for some time as they only make 1 type of cocktail of the day so you have to wait so if you want beer good luck .....the hotel has so much potential with the golf links and the aqua park but the food is terrible and unless u tip you have to queue up
