We had a wonderful stay at the Iberostar Selection Diar El Andalous and would confidently recommend it, particularly. Our five-year-old daughter absolutely loved Star Camp. Most importantly, we felt completely comfortable and confident leaving her in their care. Every time she came back, she was full of excitement and couldn’t wait to tell us how much fun she’d had. Maria and Rabeeb were wonderful with her and helped make her holiday incredibly special. She also loved having her hair braided with colourful extensions and getting beautiful henna artwork. These lovely little experiences gave her even more special holiday memories to bring home. The food and drink were genuinely world-class—some of the best we have ever experienced at a hotel. There was an excellent selection, everything was beautifully prepared, and the quality remained consistently high throughout our stay. Mealtimes were something we genuinely looked forward to every day. Khamal at the bar, who has an English girlfriend, was another highlight of our stay. He was so friendly and personable, and chatting with him felt like having a little taste of home while we were away. A very special thank you must go to Marwen, the front desk manager. He went so far above and beyond to make our holiday enjoyable that it is genuinely difficult to put into words. His kindness, professionalism and willingness to help made an enormous difference to our experience. He is a real credit to the hotel. The rest of the staff were also consistently warm, welcoming and friendly, which created such a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the hotel. We also had a wonderful experience at the spa. Rather than simply asking us to choose a massage from a list, the staff took the time to ask about our specific concerns and then recommended the most suitable treatments. It felt genuinely personal and professional, and the treatments themselves were fantastic. If you are looking for a welcoming, family-friendly hotel in Sousse with exceptional food and drink, excellent childcare, a lovely spa and staff who genuinely care about their guests, we would wholeheartedly recommend the Iberostar Selection Diar El Andalous. The people working here are what truly make this hotel special, and we would happily return.

A beautiful and enjoyable hotel, but unfortunately the stay ended on a very disappointing note. My slippers were stolen from my room by the cleaning staff. These were not ordinary slippers — they were expensive designer slippers worth around €400. I had two identical pairs in different sizes: one pair belonged to my husband and the other to me. That morning, I was deciding whether to wear another pair of shoes or the slippers. I eventually left with my family for the Mall of Sousse. When we returned, the room had been cleaned and my slippers were gone. I immediately started searching everywhere because I simply couldn’t believe they had disappeared. The hotel staff had been very friendly, the food was good, and overall, I had been enjoying my stay. I went straight to reception to report what had happened. Unfortunately, instead of receiving understanding or support, the staff immediately became defensive and made it seem as though I had done something wrong. The manager was also clearly worried that other guests might hear about the situation. He deliberately spoke loudly and repeatedly mentioned that their cleaners had been working there for 10 years, while another female staff member had previously told me they had been there for 3 years. They told me they would investigate, but at that point I already had the feeling that nothing would actually be done. I never received an apology, and nobody came to speak to me about the situation for the rest of my stay. From that moment on, I no longer felt comfortable in the hotel. The staff had all been informed about the incident, and I also felt that we were treated less kindly afterwards. Perhaps they were unhappy that we had raised the issue at reception in front of other people. For me, however, it was never really just about the slippers or the €400 they were worth. It was about the fact that my sense of safety and trust disappeared immediately. If something can be taken from your room while you are away, and then you receive no apology or proper support when you report it, that completely changes how you experience a hotel. By the end of our stay, I honestly couldn’t wait to leave. It is a real shame that our stay ended this way, because there were many things I genuinely liked about the hotel. Unfortunately, because of the way this situation was handled, I will not be returning and cannot recommend the hotel.
