Marhaba Beach

We had a really lovely stay at Marhaba Beach Hotel. The hotel has a beautiful location, with a nice beach and a relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. We especially enjoyed the pool area and the food, with plenty of choices throughout our stay. Everything was well organised, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. A big thank you to the whole team for making our holiday enjoyable. We would happily come back again and would recommend Marhaba Beach Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Sousse.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Received a warm welcome from the friendly staff and entertainment team. Beautiful sea view from my room, which was clean and comfortable (thank you to the lovely housekeeping). The bathroom was slightly outdated and the door didn’t shut. The waiters, Omar on the bar and Khaled from entertainment were all amazing! The beach was lovely, clean and well maintained. Food was good, always a nice choice. Only 1 lift so quite often long queues, but good value for money, good location & I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Unfortunately, Marhaba Beach has changed significantly since our previous visit, and not for the better. The hotel itself is still very outdated and it doesn’t seem like anything has been upgraded or improved since we last stayed. Cleanliness was also disappointing. There were sometimes flies around the food, and we had an awful sewage smell coming from our toilet which was extremely unpleasant. The cleaners did a satisfactory job overall, but having stayed at other hotels in Tunisia, I’ve definitely experienced much better standards of cleanliness elsewhere. One positive is the pool bar staff and restaurant waiters, who were great throughout our stay. They were friendly, attentive and always made sure we had what we needed. However, the food itself became very repetitive. The options seemed to be more or less the same every day, and after a while it became quite sickening and we struggled to find things we actually wanted to eat. The biggest difference for us was the atmosphere around the pool. On our previous visit, there were a lot of friendly and welcoming members of the animation team who genuinely made our holiday much more enjoyable. Many of those people are no longer there, and the atmosphere just isn’t the same. We also noticed that some of the team seemed far more interested in giving attention to younger female guests rather than making an effort with all of the guests around the pool. The evening entertainment was another disappointment. The shows were repetitive, and on some evenings there wasn’t really a show at all. This was particularly disappointing for us because, as a family, we used to genuinely look forward to the evening shows every night during our previous stay. Overall, the hotel feels very different from what we previously enjoyed. The atmosphere has changed, the hotel desperately needs updating, and the overall experience simply wasn’t as enjoyable this time around. Unfortunately, after this stay, I don’t think we will be returning.
