⭐ Detailed and honest review – One Resort Premium Hammamet, Tunisia 🌴 First Impressions & Cleanliness One Resort Premium Hammamet is a modern, clean, and well‑maintained resort that immediately feels welcoming. From the moment we arrived, the staff are attentive, the grounds are tidy, and the atmosphere is relaxed. The rooms, restaurants, pools, and communal areas are kept spotless throughout the day, which really enhances the overall experience. 💍 A One‑of‑a‑Kind Proposal Experience I was a bit sceptical when booking the hotel as I hadn't seen any pictures of other people proposing at the hotel. Despite that I emailed the hotel around a month before arriving, asking if they could help organise something special. They replied quickly and confirmed they could create a full proposal setup — and even mentioned we would be the first couple ever to do a proposal at this hotel, which made it feel even more personal. 💸 What the Proposal Package Included The full setup cost 3900 TND (approx £970) and included: - A private area on the beach - A decorated walkway with rose petals - A rose‑petal heart - A large “Will You Marry Me?” sign - A professional photographer - Drone video footage The drone footage was absolutely incredible. It captured every detail I asked for — the setup, the moment, the reactions, and the scenery. It genuinely felt like a cinematic experience and made the proposal unforgettable. Anyone considering a destination proposal should definitely look into a romantic setup like this. 🍽️ Food & Dining Breakfast Breakfast at the resort is very good, with plenty of fresh options: - Eggs and omelettes made to order - Pancakes - Waffles - Fresh fruit - Pastries The only thing missing for UK travellers is no baked beans, something i was really looking forward to, but nevertheless variety still makes breakfast enjoyable. Daytime Snacks The resort has a 24‑hour food bar, which is extremely convenient. Waffles and pancakes are also available during the day — a big hit for both kids and adults. Vegetarian Options Vegetarian choices are limited, mainly: - Chips - Pizza If you’re vegetarian and prefer variety, you may find the options repetitive. As me and my partner are vegetarian we mainly had chips and pizza but the 24hr food and drink bar has alot more vegetarian options like pasta and cheese panini. 🏖️ Pools & Beach Child‑Friendly Pool There’s a dedicated children’s pool that’s shallow, safe, and ideal for families. Infinity Pool The infinity pool is one of the standout features of the resort. It’s clean, modern, and offers beautiful views — perfect for relaxing or taking photos. Private Beach The hotel’s private beach is excellent: - Soft, clean sand - Plenty of sunbeds - Calm atmosphere - Easy access from the resort It’s a great place to unwind, swim, or enjoy the sunset. 🚕 Taxi Experience – Honest, Reliable & Stress‑Free Taxis are everywhere in Hammamet, but we were lucky enough to find one driver who was exceptional. He took us to Yasmine Medina, charged 30 dinar each way, and told us he would pick us up at 2pm. We ended up losing track of time and didn’t arrive until 2:45pm. We assumed he would be gone — but he was still waiting exactly where he said he’d be this gave us alot of reassurance and made us feel safe. He was patient, friendly, and gave us great advice throughout the trip. ⭐ Taxi Tip If you find a taxi driver you like, stick with them. They’ll give you their WhatsApp number so you can message them whenever you need a ride. The drivers name was Adil. I believe his taxi had the number 959 on the top. He is normal waiting outside the hotel along with other taxi drivers 📱 SIM Card - A Must for Travellers After passport control, collect your luggage, and make way to exit. Before you leave the airport there is a stand where you can buy a SIM card. It works instantly. I purchased an Orange SIM — around 27GB for roughly £15. This was absolutely worth it because: - You can use data outside the hotel - You can hotspot family members - You can call home - You can use Google Maps - You can check conversion rates instantly I used Google constantly to convert prices, check directions, and message family. At least one person in your group should get a SIM — it makes everything easier. 💰 City Tax There is a city tax payable when checking in at the hotel. For two people, it was around £50 total. 💱 Money Tips & Practical Advice These tips will save you money and stress: 1. Bring British Pounds Exchange them at the hotel — the rate is fair and convenient. Only exchange around £80 this will give you about 300 TND which is more than enough until you go to the cash machine. 2. ATM Nearby There’s a cash machine 5 minutes away, but it charges 13 TND per withdrawal. 3. Keep Your Exchange Receipt You must show this at the airport to convert leftover dinar back into pounds. No receipt = No Exchange You can not take dinar out of the country. Also don't get scared. If using revolut or starling. There is no option to convert currency. As long as you have enough money in the account. When paying for something the bank will automatically convert into diner at the best rate. But i would recommend taking out cash from cash machine as you will need it to pay cab drivers. 4. Haggle Confidently Tunisia is similar to Turkey — haggling is expected. Example: I bought a Burberry jacket for my partner Seller started at £60. I stuck to £20. He said his final price was £35. I walked away. He called me back and agreed to £20. Walking away is often the most effective tactic. 5. Avoid the shop in the hotel The shop in the hotel is over priced. It is there for convenience hence the prices are high. Opposite the cash machine there is a shop called the city mall or city shop. It has souvenirs, clothes, armbands, kids toys, playing card games like UNO and standard playing cards. It is alot cheaper. If you want snacks like crisps or chocolates there is a massive store called MAXI CENTRE. This store is in yasmine. About 25/30 minute drive. It has 3 floors. 1st floor has food and snacks, 2nd has clothes and perfumes and 3rd had homeware and luggage. It is definitely a must visit store. 📝 Final Thoughts One Resort Premium Hammamet is a fantastic choice for couples, families, and anyone wanting a clean, modern resort with great pools, a beautiful private beach, and friendly staff. The proposal experience was the highlight — unique, emotional, and executed with real care. While vegetarian options could be improved, the overall experience is memorable, relaxing, and excellent value for money. The combination of friendly staff, reliable taxis, easy SIM access, and a stunning beachfront location makes this resort a great place to stay in Hammamet.

Third visit to Tunisia and this was by far the worst. Staff were rude unless heavily tipped. Food disgusting, cold and on the whole inedible. Staff tried to limit drinks on this all inclusive holiday. No clean bedding or towels in the room. Dispute complaining to the manager the staff became even more rude. Layout of hotel is fantastic but needs re staffing which spoilt the holiday

They dont clean at all the rooms good enough we had ants everwhere the food was really bad at the open buffet even the italian restaurant was not "italian" They didnt make enough activites in the evening it was boring in comparative with other resorts A big NO specially because they are not clean!

The hotel is really good definitely worth coming here it’s in a great location and right on the beach. All the staff were so welcoming to us especially the entertainment team. The food was very good quality and had a range of different food so nothing ever felt to repetitive I particularly enjoyed the Asian cuisine section. I want to give my biggest compliment to the older gentleman in the buffet restaurant in the evening he never put a foot wrong we were never waiting ages for drinks and he even memorised our drinks order and had them ready for when we came in was such a joy to see him every night treated me and my partner with such respect. Entertainment was good we did bingo most nights which was fun and the entertainment team you could tell they love what they do. They would go out of their way to talk to you and make you feel so welcome they even played games with us on my phone in the evening. Sports bar was good especially since it’s World Cup season they even had a big screen near the beach which was great. The bar in the lobby was good for a more relaxing atmosphere and I loved getting 2 hot chocolates to take up to the room. 24 hour express bar was great and has a nice selection of different foods. The beach club was my favourite for lunch the calamari was a personal standout. Rooms was probably one of the best hotel room I’ve ever stayed at bathroom shower was massive, such comfy beds and it’s definitely worth upgrading to get the jacuzzi room it’s so relaxing at night. We also booked the al a cart Italian restaurant and that blew us away the pasta meatballs main is one of the best dishes I’ve had and great service Would definitely come again I did not have any complaints and we both very much enjoyed our stay here

I had a very pleasant stay at this resort in Tunisia. Everything was great, and I really enjoyed my vacation. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. The food was good, and there were plenty of activities to enjoy.
