Royal Nozha Beach

I will never find the words to give the holiday we've just got home from enough credit. I won't go in to any detail about the hotel rooms, food, excursions, shops or anything like that as it was all fine, exactly what you'd expect. It's the entertainment team that stood out for me. I've never seen anything like it. They were phenomenal. The time, thought and effort they put in to doing everything they could to create memories for all the guests was unbelievable. On a daily basis, Slim, Anis, Bob and Pika would make there way round the pool and beach, checking in on everyone, encouraging people to get involved in as much fun as they could. Organising darts tournaments, beach volleyball matches, water aerobics, foam parties etc as well as their own personal and unique shows at night, from Michael Jackson tributes, to comedy acts, bingo, British nights, random bowling tournaments, middle of the day dances. I could genuinely go on and on. I've been to a few different places around the world, but the Royal Nozha is one that will stick with me forever and it's all down to the team that helped make some amazing memories for our families. Thank you so much Slim, Anis, Bob and Pika.

Had a great week at the beginning of October, the staff were all friendly and helpful. We asked for a change of room as the one allocated wasn’t accessible for one of our friends and this was done immediately. The beach bar was lovely and a little respite from the pool area. The highlight had to be the entertainment team, in particular Slim and also Anis and Bob. Slim was so funny and also a lovely person who always took time to have a chat and get to know the guests so a massive shout out to him!! All in all a great week of sunshine and laughter 😁

I see reviews with complaints and I assume these people are expecting 5 star luxury from a 4 star hotel. The hotel is clean, the food is better than ok, the pool area is well maintained as is the beach area but it is not a ‘luxury’ hotel. The rooms need updating, the bathrooms are poor and need renovating, the mattresses are extremely hard, the aircon in the rooms is hit and miss. Ours worked well, then stopped then came back cold but not very cold. Others in the hotel I spoke to said theirs was really cold. The WiFi works well but it’s not extremely fast and you may experience some buffering at times. What makes this hotel are the staff. From the manager to the lifeguard, they are exceptional. I have only had an issue with one member of staff in my 4 visits to the hotel. Other than that isolated incident, I cannot praise the staff enough. They remember you when you return, they greet you warmly at every opportunity and they are all so helpful. I usually give a full 5 green dot rating but, if you like a good variety of evening entertainment then this is not the hotel for you. It used to be very good and had a good variety of shows but this visit, the entertainment wasn’t as good as it used to be. In 10 nights there were 4 nights of karaoke (no cost), 3 nights of the entertainment team performing themselves (no cost) and 2 nights of the underwhelming Fakir the strongman and 1 evening of ‘Miss Royal Nozha’ where the performers were the hotel customers (no cost). The bingo is poor as well, 25dt for a one line game. I presume the budget for entertainment is not a priority for the hotel but something needs to improve. I must say that I have no issue with any of the entertainment team and I believe they are doing their best with the resources they are given. Some of their ‘antics’ around the pool area during the day do push the limits sometimes. So, if you’re looking for 5 star luxury, then book a 5 star luxury priced hotel. £1800 for 10 nights all inclusive will NOT but you a 5 star luxury experience. If you’re looking for a hotel with fantastic staff but are willing to accept the hotel may have some shortcomings , then this hotel is the one. That’s the reason it has so many customers who return year after year.

The hotel was smaller than anticipated, but that turned out to be a good thing. Everyone who worked there knew you, recognised you and always had time to chat and were interested in where you'd travelled from and what your life was like back home. You have your own table which you keep during your holiday - which was really good, and your own waiter who keeps a keen eye on when your drinks need replenishing! The same for the staff who works the pool bar, who would continually walk around collecting glasses, asking if you needed anything. The lifeguard would ensure that there were plenty of sun beds for everyone and have your beds out ready for you each morning. The sports bar staff know everyone's drinks and what you are going to have before you even ask. All in all, a very personal service - much better than the larger, anonymous hotel next door and other hotels we've visited. We didn't actually book the hotel looking for entertainment, but that certainly ended up being a big part of the holiday. The Animation team - Slim, Anis, Bob and Pika - worked tirelessly, not just throughout the day providing games and laughter, but also putting on a show every night. They were always friendly, welcoming and seemed to be having as much fun as the guests themselves. There's obviously a lot involved in putting all of the shows and entertainment together - that doesn't just happen by itself - so a huge amount of work, thought and planning was clearly put into it all. You could see why people came from the hotel next door! All in all a lovely holiday - it's clear to see why people go back year after year.
