Skanes Serail

We've just returned from staying 1 week here. I would not recommend staying here. Positives: Reasonable hotel with beach front location Staff generally friendly and helpful Rooms reasonably clean Enough sunbeds so not rushing first thing to find one Cons: Nothing is walking distance. Monistir is approx 30 min drive Buffet, like most all inclusive was repetitive and not great. Food that was labelled with no meat or fish did actually include it. Pool side music played multiple songs with inappropriate language considering this is a family hotel and a large number of children present is unacceptable Rooms are extremely basic and outdated. Shower gel and hand soap were not refilled. The bath was narrow with only a hand held shower that was falling off its shower attachments and facing the curtain so unless angled carefully, all water leaked outside. Bed was extremely hard Corridor lights were not on in all sections, so you had to walk in the dark and put it on yourself, which particularly for children is not appropriate Drinks were generally poor tasting

Just spent a week at Skanes Serail. It is situated on a private beach with an airport on the other side, there is nothing in the locality you can walk to, you need to get a taxi. The rooms are fairly basic but clean but drastically need updating. The staff were on the whole great and very friendly. The swimming pool and mini aqua park were good. There were plenty of sunbeds available and the beach is also a few steps away from the hotel. The staff ran very few activities during the day. The food was very basic and by far the worst element of the hotel, there is a lack of selection and what was on offer was sometimes very overcooked. Also beware if you are a vegetarian as some dishes which are marked as vegetarian are not! In summary whilst we didn't have an awful experience this is not a hotel we would visit again

This hotel has left me super satisfied I have had a 10/10 experience the people are super friendly the food is great it’s not the same everyday and not boring.There was people like Alex,Habib,kimo who were very helpful kind and super funny and overall loved it here.
