Sousse Palace

I had a wonderful stay at the Sousse Palace Hotel & Spa with my family, but the absolute highlight was Mejde from the animation team. As an autistic and visually impaired guest, traveling can sometimes feel overwhelming, but Mejde made me feel incredibly safe, included, and welcomed. His stretching sessions were amazing and featured a wonderful, relaxing massage technique. He also gave me a comforting cuddle, which provided the perfect grounding and deep-pressure comfort that means so much to me. Mejde has a beautiful, intuitive, and kind soul. He went above and beyond to make my holiday unforgettable. Thank you, Mejde!

This is a good hotel, but let's be clear, it is not 5 star. I will start with a few negatives... 1. The service was inconsistent, particularly in the open air dining area where it took a long time to get a drink to go with the meal. French visitors appeared to be prioritised on a number of occasions, and it was so obvious it was laughable. 2. There was wear and tear in the room which included black mould in the bathroom and loose electric sockets. 3. The hotel manager turned the air conditioning system off and it took complaints from customers to get it back on again. The staff told us they wouldn't turn it back on unless they had enough complaints. 4. There was no soap in the communal bathrooms near the pool area. It never got replaced the whole time we were there. 5. The evening entertainment is practically non existent, so if you are looking for this, don't bother. Despite all this, we encountered some polite and helpful staff, the location and beach were amazing, and the food was very good. For what we paid, we were happy, but would not be in a rush to go back.

Amazing stay at sousse palace for 1 week. Myself and my wife first holiday after being married. Wee could not have asked for more. All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Had our room upgraded to a beautiful sea view. This hotel has a very relaxing atmosphere with very good value for money. Clean rooms, very spacious. Wee will be returning in the near future.

A truly terrible experience from start to finish - avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy rude and nasty unhelpful staff with a repetitive menu that leaves a lot to be desired. The rooms were very dated and our air conditioning broke, leaked all over the already pealing and lifting floor and had to be switched off. The tv didn’t work the entire week, only the towels were changed, the floor mopped once and even the tea and coffee only even cleaned once, let alone re stocked. The pool bar constantly ran out of beer with staff moaning that the guests drank too much.!!!!! Silly me for thinking that all inclusive actually meant I was allowed the occasional drink while staying there!!! The restaurant was really bad, with no variety at all and the same food offered at all meal times. It was also usually warm at best and with hardly any labels saying what the food was, there were a few times when hidden meat was found by my vegetarian partner who was not impressed. They also seemed to have an aversion to tea spoons as there were none the whole week, and in fact we only found a couple of serving spoons to use on one occasion so had to make do with forks for our yoghurts. The à la carte restaurant was one of the worst experiences of my life, where you actually literally get snacks as your free meal there and have to pay for anything else - and even that was pretty rough. The pool is sheltered by the tall buildings for a lot of the day and the private beach is tiny with lots of broken loungers - certainly not enough space for everybody to be able to relax. Unfortunately this experience has tainted my partner’s view of Tunisia and I wouldn’t want anyone else to suffer the same, so please choose more wisely than this place.
