had a amazing time a the hotel Royal Kenz. fantastic animation team a big shout out to Salah, looked after us…. can’t wait to return!

As they say first impressions count. Firstly I have to give absolute credit to how hard the animation team work, they are just full of energy and make it their mission to engage and interact with guests at every opportunity. They create a real vibe about the place, even down on the beach, if your after a peaceful holiday, this is not the hotel for you, its vibrant in a good way. The hotel its self, its a mismatch of connected buildings and not the easiest to navigate. Our room was clean and relatively modern, but lacked attention to detail, small things such as only one coat of paint on the frames enabling you to see the previous colour, grouting poorly finished, paint splashes ect. The hallways ect really do need some investment, pre 80's carpet that creates the 'grannies house smell', with fresh paint and even a good hoover it could be so much better. The restaurant, your typical all inc buffet style main restaurant, I will admit there was always something to eat and a great range of choice, not always to my liking but that's me, not the hotel. The waiters worked hard to keep the tables clear and clean. What shocked us more was the sheer level of waste by other guests, plates pilled high and food just simply left. The hotel does have a policy about wasted food, sadly we didn't witnesses it implemented. There is also a dress code for the restaurant, again not implemented - not nice seeing someone's hairy bits!! During lunch there is a serviced snack restaurant which we favoured. There was always food on the go at the beach bar and the pool bar, you certainly would not go hungry. The pool areas are next to each other so what ever is going on in one pool you can hear in the other and visa versa. Sun loungers - well!! There are not enough for everyone, we managed to get one each day but you had to get up for it (adding to the problem I know), folks were up at 4.30am to secure their spot!! If you didn't you were on the grass a long way away from the pool or main complex. There is a lovely beach with its own area, bar and restaurant, the bar only offers soft drinks, tea, coffee and beer. The restaurant is pizza and panini, we loved it!! You could always get a bed on the beach. It takes 5 mins to walk to down a straight street. Top tip - when your checking in, sort out your pool towels, else you will end up having to walk all the way back to your room to get the money to pay the deposit at reception to then go to the hut to get the towels.

We have just returned from Royal kenz. It was our 4th visit and every time it get better and better. But the thing which makes it stand out is the Animation team. These are as mad as a box of frogs. Maddy and his crew deserve every recognition which comes there way. They're fantastic individuals and can't wait to return. in September

What a winderful piece if paradise this is, the food is outstanding, all the staff are so friendly and welcoming. So many Tunisan families also who were very friendly. The food was outstanding every day and always diffrent. We had a fantactic time and will be returning in September and for for Christmas. A wonderful country with wonderful people, the jewel of North Africa.
