Akra Kemer

Been home for a week following an amazing 2 weeks at this hotel! This was our 4th visit to the hotel after 8 years and it did not disappoint and has only improved more! Rooms and facilities were spotless as ever, tasty food in the buffet and al la carte restaurants and the drinks were impeccable. Always a lovely atmosphere in every area of the hotel. The staff are just phenomenal and work so hard and always with a smile on their faces, thank you to the cleaners, gardeners, bar staff, waiters (especially the amazing guys on roller skates), pretty much everyone and Yvonne who it was so lovely to see again after all those years! Animation team…. Best one yet! Batuhan- So friendly and chatty! Such a kind guy and it so easy to talk to him and have a laugh. Made us feel welcome from day 1 and it was lovely getting to know him. Keep working on your ‘Liam Gallagher walk’. Domfu- Such a beautiful and kind girly who I enjoyed have a boogie with at night and a good gab. Okan- Such an enthusiastic and energetic guy who is also so easy to talk to and have a laugh with. Keep practicing your scouse accent. Tom- Our Tommy boy, such a funny guy who always made us feel involved and who was so friendly. Daria- My Zumba girly, always had a laugh whilst doing aqua Zumba with her and she was so fun to chat to. We’re also missing the beautiful cats and kittens, especially the one we called ‘Bernadette’ who I think was due to be having kittens soon haha! So excited to hopefully return next year to one of my favourite places, missing everyone and everything so much right now. Amazing memories made as always! Countdown is on for next year!

This was my first visit (and possibly not last) visit. Having studied the reviews, all seemed very positive and encouraged me to book. I have just returned having stayed in the hotel for a week. This was not really long enough and having taken time out for a couple of excursions, I would have liked more time around the pool! The location of this hotel is excellent inasmuch you can easily and quickly walk into town - so many AI hotels are remote and thus require a taxi to get you anywhere. There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel (not that we used it but useful in certain circumstances). One comment is that it would be helpful to guests if there was seating outside the main entrance - handy when waiting for an airport transfer. NB: All other transport pick-ups are on the main road (which can be confusing if not otherwise made aware). I would agree with all the other reviews. I have only but very minor observations in that "medium" white wine and Pimms were not available in any bar/restaurant. There is a fantastic array of food on display in the buffet restaurant, including a wide selection of cheeses. If only I could have found some crackers. Something akin was in fact left in our room each day which had to suffice. There were generous supplies of water and other drinks in the fridge. The hotel very kindly acknowledged our anniversary by decorating our room as well as giving us a small bottle of red wine. I found it odd that there are no water dispensers in the buffet restaurant - we had to ask each time when wanting a glass. I enjoyed the water aerobics and thought the mini trampolines on which each person had to stand was indeed a novelty. Alas rain stopped a "cycling" activity in the pool so could not participate. The evening entertainment was of a high-standard. Upon arrival, it appeared that on the APP, a quiz was taking place at 10.30pm. When checking, we were told it was the following Monday (and which subsequently did not take place). We were also disappointed not to know in advance where to buy tickets for the one-off Bingo session during our stay. As regards the hotel APP, you need to download it in order to book the in-house restaurants each morning at 8am (after which it is is very unlikely that you will be able to reserve a table in any one of them within a 3 day period). Something to be aware of - although if disappointed, you can ask Guest Services to add you to the cancellation list. The staff are very helpful indeed as well as friendly and engaging. I appreciated being offered both melon and small bottles of water when lying on a sun-lounger! The bakery served an excellent range of cakes. I loved the strawberry milkshakes which were available there as well. We discovered a games room in which there was a library (the books were segregated by language - available for guests to take and/or leave their own once read). The Tui Rep was extremely helpful when dealing with our Sun Express check-in issues. This airline does not have the most user-friendly website and for which you need its own reference rather than, as I found, the one quoted within my Tui booking to check-in. (Be warned that if you don't check-in before arriving at the airport, Sun Express will charge each traveller five Euros). Overall, I felt spoilt! There is a notice saying that used towels would only be replaced if left on the floor, I soon realised they were changed every day despite us hanging them up on hooks or leaving them out on the balcony to dry. Other things to note - we visited the Market on Thursday - well worth a visit - about a 15 minute walk into town. I booked a Spa treatment via an agent - only to discover that it was literally on the opposite of the road to the hotel - better and cheaper to go direct! I certainly found that no transport was needed!

This is our third visit here and it has been our favourite hotel in Turkey. Unfortunately the entertainment let the hotel down this time. We stayed 12 nights and during that time Ashanti performed on 4 of those nights and Focus Accapella 2 nights. I’ve never known the acts be on more than once when we have visited previously. It really felt the entertainment was lacking this time and the number of acts performing at the theatre was significantly lower than previous years. That luckily was the only negative. Positives about our stay were the food, drinks and mostly importantly the excellent service provided by the staff. We would consider staying here a fourth time but only if we get a good deal.

Home after 2 fantastic weeks in the Akra Kemer. This was the 4 th time we visited, the last time was 8 years ago. It was still as fabulous, even a little better than previously. All the staff from gardeners, housekeeping, the waiters, bar staff , bell boys, admin and of course Yvonne were all brilliant. Nothing is too much bother for them. Never saw a grumpy face once. The entertainment team were the best group of people I have met in that capacity, professional, fun, kind and friendly but never too much in your face unless you wanted them to be. Tom. What a star, funny, kind, friendly and very dapper in the evening. Batuhan. A friendly, brilliant and a genuinely lovely man. Keep up with the DJ ing, you can and will achieve all you want to . Keep the faith. Domfu. A truly beautiful lovely lady inside and out. Has many a good chat with her Okan Very energetic and funny , takes time to chat and listen. Keep up learning scouse !! Also cheers to the roller skating guys round the pools keeping us hydrated. Thank you all for the memories. Hopefully back in July 2027.

If you’re looking for a relaxing family holiday with friendly and welcoming staff, fantastic kids’ entertainment, and delicious food, this is the place for you! We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the whole experience. A huge thank you to all the staff at Akra Hotel for making our holiday so enjoyable and memorable. We would definitely recommend it to families and would happily come back again!
