We have had the most amazing holiday and are genuinely so sad to be leaving. Before we arrived, I was a little worried that there didn’t seem to be many English guests after reading some reviews. There were one or two other English families during our stay, but honestly, it made absolutely no difference to us. We tend to keep ourselves to ourselves on holiday, and everyone was friendly regardless of where they were from. We booked a swim-up family room as a luxury treat for my 40th birthday, and it was one of the best decisions we made. The room was beautiful, spacious and had loads of storage, which was perfect for two adults and two teenagers. Having our own swim-up pool access made the whole holiday feel extra special. The staff have all been friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We were regularly offered table service in the bars, which was a lovely touch. The service was excellent, and we happily tipped the waiters who looked after us so well. The food has been fantastic. There was always plenty of choice and we never struggled to find something we enjoyed. We ate in the main restaurant, the pool bar, the beach bar and the Turkish à la carte restaurant, and every meal was delicious. There are also shops nearby and within the hotel itself. I managed to pick up some great replica handbags, which was an added bonus! Overall, we have had an incredible family holiday and made some wonderful memories celebrating my 40th birthday. If you’re considering booking, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. We would happily come back again in the future.

Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay. It’s worth noting that a 5-star hotel in Turkey is generally rated more on its facilities and amenities than by the standards you might expect from a 5-star hotel in Western Europe. I would say it’s very similar to a 4-star all inclusive in Spain. Our room was spacious, very clean, and well maintained, although it was quite sparsely furnished. The bed was a little firmer than we would normally choose, but it was still comfortable. Throughout our stay, the hotel was spotless, and the staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Most of the guests were German or Polish, with relatively few English-speaking visitors. Although the hotel has a policy that sunbeds cannot be reserved, this rule wasn’t enforced, and many guests claimed beds early in the morning. The area around the two pools is also quite small and felt cramped. As a result, we never managed to find available sunbeds by the pool after breakfast in the week we stayed here. Fortunately, this wasn’t an issue for us as we preferred the beach. The hotel provides a free shuttle service to its private beach area, where there were always plenty of sunbeds available. The beach bar was good, serving burgers, döner, chips, salads, ice cream, and drinks, all included in the all-inclusive package. The food was generally good. Dinner was fresh and offered plenty of vegetables, along with grilled fish or meat every day and a selection of changing dishes. There were also the usual buffet favourites such as stews, pasta, and rice. Breakfast offered a wide variety of breads, pastries, cheeses, fruit, and hot dishes. The tea and coffee were perfectly good, and the Turkish tea was particularly enjoyable. The biggest disappointment was the alcoholic drinks. The fruit juices used in cocktails tasted overly sweet and artificial, which affected the flavour of almost every cocktail we tried. The mojito, for example, was made with lemon instead of lime and was unfortunately one of the worst we’ve ever had. We’d recommend sticking to spirits with soft drinks or the local wine, both of which were much better. We were offered a complimentary 15-minute massage at the spa, but it wasn’t a particularly relaxing experience. The massage was quite firm, and no one asked whether we had any injuries or preferences beforehand. The treatment room door was also left open, which made the experience feel less private than it should have been. Because of this, we decided not to book a longer paid treatment which we had planned to do. They also use pushy sales tactics that were very off putting. A special thank you to the staff at reception, the main bar, and the beach bar. They were all exceptionally friendly and welcoming, especially once they realised we were English speakers. Their excellent service really made a positive difference to our stay. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Side, but it’s easy to reach the old town by local bus for a very small fare, making it a convenient base for exploring the area. Overall, we had a lovely holiday. While there are a few areas where the hotel could improve—particularly the enforcement of the sunbed policy, the quality of the cocktails, and the spa experience—the cleanliness, friendly staff, good food, and excellent beach facilities meant we would happily recommend it for a relaxing good value holiday.
