⭐ Holiday Review – Side, Turkey I recently stayed at a beachfront hotel in Side, around 1 hour 20 minutes from Antalya Airport, and overall it was a lovely break — especially if you’re travelling as a family. 🌴 Location & Beach The hotel sits directly on the beach, with a pier full of loungers and plenty more shaded loungers along the sand. The beach is extremely accessible thanks to the boarding everywhere, making it easy for pushchairs and wheelchairs to move around. There are water sports, plus camel and horse rides, so there’s always something happening. The beach also has its own clean toilets, a food station serving fresh hot dishes (the tastiest food of our whole stay), and a trendy bar area that felt modern and relaxed. 🏨 Lobby & First Impressions The lobby is beautifully decorated with lots of seating. The lobby bar has a barista station — including iced coffee, which made me very happy. 🛏️ Room I booked a standard room but was upgraded to a family room complimentary. The room layout was great: • A living area with two pull‑out beds, sofa and TV • Fitted wardrobe • Bathroom with large sink and shower • Bedroom with dressing table, TV and a mini‑bar (only still & sparkling water). Also a kettle and tea, great for us brits. • A lovely outdoor seating area with chairs, table and a drying rack — such a thoughtful touch The room was spotlessly clean, though a little dated. We found the duvet in the wardrobe and requested an extra one, which arrived within minutes. We also reported a faulty shower head and it was fixed in under 5 minutes — genuinely impressive service. 🍽️ Main Buffet Restaurant The buffet restaurant is large with plenty of seating inside and outside, though at peak times it was hard to find indoor seats. Food variety was good: • Lots of vegetables, fruit and olives • Fresh pancakes and bread • Freshly squeezed orange juice at no extra cost • Chicken nuggets and chips daily (very popular with families) • Fresh grilled fish and turkey was our favourite. • Fresh Eggs made for breakfast, not advertised to order but I kindly asked for my egg is a specific way and this was kindly done by the friendly staff. Labels were in Russian, English and Turkish, though sometimes moved around during service. Desserts looked beautiful and were well presented. Drinks were self‑service with coffee machines and two bars for soft drinks and alcohol. The taste of some dishes lacked flavour for me — salt and pepper which was on the table helped — but it’s clear the resort caters heavily to Russian guests’ palettes. Staff were constantly cleaning, clearing plates and keeping the space tidy. 🧘 Quiet Pool This was our favourite spot. It’s peaceful, clean, and has a lifeguard on duty daily. Towels were easy to collect from the spa with towel cards. The pool was cold (expected for the season), but the area was perfect for relaxing. Toilets, showers and changing areas were all nearby and well maintained. Guest relations regularly came to check in and see if we were enjoying the stay. We was also kindly gifted a complimentary bottle of wine and fruit to the room and a complimentary breakfast in bed. Which was a lovely touch. You can really see they value the customers/guests. Accessibility was excellent — ramps everywhere, a beach wheelchair, and wheelchair users seemed to navigate the resort comfortably. 🎉 Family Areas & Entertainment The resort shines for families: • A louder pool with music, bar, toilets and snack restaurant • Water slides • Kids splash areas • Plenty of loungers for parents • A small fairground with rides that light up at night • A kids club where children always seemed happy and entertained 🍽️ À La Carte Restaurant This was the weakest part of our stay. The food was barely warm and not very flavourful. We saw other guests sending dishes back. It felt like food was sitting under heat lamps rather than being freshly prepared. We didn’t return. 🛋️ Luxury Cabana Experience We were gifted a complimentary day in a beach cabana, and it was honestly the highlight of our holiday. The cabana had: • A dining area • Comfortable sofa seating • Two beach loungers • A private shower • Ceiling fan • Power sockets • A mini‑fridge stocked with beer, soft drinks and water Service was exceptional — drinks, fruit, ice cream and fresh hot pizza delivered right to us. Watching the sunset from the cabana with a drink was perfect. We loved it so much we booked it again the next day and paid for it. Worth every penny. ⭐ Overall This resort is excellent for families — the facilities, entertainment and attention to detail are clearly designed with children in mind. As a couple, we enjoyed the quiet pool and absolutely loved the cabana experience, but the overall resort feels more family‑focused. We would return if travelling with children, or if we booked a cabana every day. The cabana made the holiday feel truly luxurious.

I can't say enough good things about Neva at the guest relations desk. I had my heart set on buying a traditional Turkish instrument during my stay but had no idea where to find a good one. Neva went above and beyond: she researched reputable shops, called ahead to check availability, and gave me clear directions so I could find exactly what I was looking for. Her warmth, patience and genuine willingness to help made this one of the highlights of my trip. It's rare to find service this personal and thoughtful. Neva truly represents five-star hospitality, and I'm grateful for her help. Thank you, Neva!

Everything was absolutely wonderful! This hotel deserves every single one of its stars. The food was delicious, the staff were incredibly friendly, and everyone was very helpful with anything we needed. The swimming pools were beautiful, and the kids had an amazing time! We couldn’t have asked for a better holiday. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and would happily come back again. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

Nice place. We had good time with friends. Every year de change hotel. But Asteria the beste one. So next year we will be probably here. Maybe september :) All workers so friendly. :) Thanks so much Animation and all staff.

Hotel is too big. A bit tired :) but it was nice. Because so nice place. Like little garden. And for family Amazing place. Our children always had fun with animation. Thank you Asteria family. 🙂
