Barut Goia

Fab hotel, from check in to leaving, all staff great. Arrived after midnight & able to have food & drinks after a long day of travel. Food & drink available 24 hours per day. Very clean, found staff very attentive & friendly. Food good ( not always to our taste but that’s down to us & in no way the hotel). Plenty of selection & always found something to eat. Plenty sunbeds, free pool towels ( no deposit required) exchanged every day. Free safe, tea/coffee facilities ( can request a kettle at reception if preferred). International alcoholic drinks & proper cocktails ( again, no charge), beer, wine, bottled water. Shuttle bus to lovely beach although just a ten minute walk. We are of a certain age now & prefer “adults only” hotels but if you have a young family, hotel is great. Slides in pool, entertainment for them, play park, etc. ( have absolutely nothing against children, but been there, done that & if I was travelling with grandchildren, would definitely consider this hotel). Only downside for me, people smoking at pool & also at the bar, although there are designated smoking areas, some guests did not pay heed to the “no smoking” signs. But overall a great holiday & would recommend this hotel. Would also add, take Euros!

We are staying at Barut goia, right now. If you are a Barut hotel fan (as we are) you will be very disappointed. Lacking in so many areas, I don’t know where to start. The good bits are the rooms and food. No issues with either. Service is poor everywhere. At dinner this evening, I had to clear a table, wave at a waiter for cutlery and drinks. This was 8pm and dinner doesn’t finish until 9pm. Wine is served in sherry glasses. I’m not an alcoholic, but 2 mouthfuls and it’s gone. There is no attention to the fact your water glass is empty or your wine glass. Really tired of trying to eat and flag down a waiter. The pool bar doubles up as the evening entertainment bar. Seats/sofas are wet from people sitting on them in wet costumes during the day. It’s a mixed bag of whether smoking is permitted at certain tables. You could sit at a table with a no smoking sign, yet people sit on the next table and puff away. Really not great. Bars are understaffed, never been to any of the bars where there is more than one bar tender. I will mention road noise whilst doing this review. We absolutely knew the hotel was on a main road, but didn’t quite appreciate how noisy the road would be. On the ‘noisy side’ of the hotel, road noise is drowned out by music, however on the ‘quiet’ side, it’s hard to switch off from it.

My husband and I stayed for 1 week in a deluxe suite and would highly recommend this hotel. Room: The room was lovely, brand new lovely decor, clean and spacious with lots of storage. We had a huge balcony on the first floor which over looked the pool with the slides. We dont have kids but there was no issues, it wasnt noisy at all in the room. Food/ drinks: The drinks were great, branded and there were proper cocktails made fresh with all the ingredients. There were cans.of pop and bottles of pop and beer available too, overall a great selection. The buffet was good, lots of choice and of a good quality. We went to both a la cartes and the food was very good at both. The staff were more attentive at olea, explaining things, the menu etc Beach: The shuttle Bus to the beach was excellent, to be there in about 3 minutes. There were always plenty of beds, the beach was sandy and the sea was turquoise and gorgeous (also very warm!). The food and drinks from the beach bar which was also part of the all inclusive was very good - nice options and brilliant quality. The staff were amazing at this hotel, every single one of them 👏 So thank you Barut Goia, for a great holiday, we will see you again.

Dissapointing second visit to this hotel. Loved the spacious, quiet pool to cool off in the 30 degree heat. Appreciated the excellent air con in our huge comfortable room. Had a couple of well prepared, tasty a la carte meals. But this is where the good stops... far too many small children who were misbehaving/shouting/crying in the dining room causing us to walk out during our meals on numerous occasions. I do recongnise this hotel is aimed at families and was told by guest relations that is the case but also they should consider the other holiday makers who do not travel with children. The hotel could offer areas which were 'adult only', luckily the quiet pool did not attract noisy children so we were able to enjoy this. Another issue we felt needed a mention was the cleanliness. The pool areas were kept clean and we had no complaint there but the beach was shocking. The old sunbeds were grubby and uncomfortable surrounded by cigarette butts in the sand and plastic drinks glasses everywhere, we couldn't wait to get off the beach. Our room also was not cleaned to the usual standard you should expect at a 5* resort. Unfortunately due to these issues we would not return to this hotel.

Everything at the hotel was fine, and there was nothing to complain about. The activities and performances were good.
