Great food and some lovely highlights, but disappointing for young families in poor weather We visited as a family of four, with children aged two and six, during October half-term 2026. We knew the weather could be mixed and expected some rain and thunderstorms alongside sunny days. Our disappointment was less about the weather itself and more about how little the hotel adapted for families when it turned bad. Check-in was a little clunky, with reception checking us in alongside another family we didn’t know. However, the porters were polite and helpful, showing us around on the way to our room. Our family room had additional beds for the children and a cot, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, the air conditioning needed a repair as soon as we arrived. We stayed in room 2115, overlooking the main outdoor path towards the beach. Noise from the later evening outdoor entertainment was significant inside our room—something worth considering if you’re travelling with young children who go to bed earlier. The hotel was fairly easy to find our way around. On our first afternoon, we headed to the baby pool beside the main activity pool and pool bar, but the water was absolutely freezing! We then tried the aqua splash park, which was noticeably warmer. This was designated for ages four to twelve, so options for our two-year-old were limited. She enjoyed playing in the water but couldn’t use the slides. Overall, the food was great. The burger bar was excellent, and we particularly enjoyed the turkey wraps at the beach bar. The main buffet did start to feel a little “samey” after a few days, but the themed nights were a real highlight—the Chinese and Indian nights were big hits with us. The puddings were tasty, and the ice cream was delicious! The chocolate flavour ran out twice during the week, which perhaps shows how popular it was. The beach itself was lovely, although the advertised sun sails weren’t fitted during our stay, which was disappointing. Our biggest frustration was the lack of indoor entertainment during two solid days of rain. We didn’t see any additional activities put on for younger children in the late afternoon. Between 5pm and 8pm, we found very little for them to do—something as simple as colouring, indoor games or an early disco would have helped enormously. With so much of the hotel’s family offering outdoors, we felt left to make our own arrangements. The tennis courts were a good addition, although you need to book early with the entertainment team to secure a slot. They also flooded easily during the rain. For us, a few improvements would make a real difference: * More late-afternoon activities suitable for younger children. * Discos and parties moved indoors when the weather is poor. * A dedicated toddler splash area with smaller slides and warmer water. * Updates about activity changes through the guest WhatsApp group set up during the stay. * Clearer advice when allocating rooms to families about noise from evening entertainment. Overall, there were parts of the holiday we enjoyed, particularly the food, beach and helpful porters. However, we didn’t feel the stay delivered the value we expected. Although the hotel is advertised as family-friendly and has plenty of family facilities, our experience with young children in poor weather fell short of expectations. We wouldn’t return in October. We didn’t try the Elite section, so can’t comment on it, but this stay hasn’t encouraged us to return, even without the children. The hotel can’t control the weather, but a better indoor entertainment plan would have made a significant difference.

A Great Place to Relax! We really enjoyed our stay at Belek Beach Hotel. The atmosphere was welcoming, the hotel grounds were lovely, and there was plenty of choice at mealtimes. It was a great opportunity to relax and spend quality time with family. Thank you for a pleasant holiday!

Overall, a fairly good hotel with friendly bar and waiting staff who were welcoming throughout our stay. However, having stayed in several hotels in Turkey, I wouldn’t consider this one to be among the more luxurious establishments we’ve experienced. Location is fairly remote, and if you are looking to head to Land of Legends then expect a fairly hefty taxi fare. If, like us, you have an evening flight home and are considering a late check out then it costs €20 per hour. So, for a typical evening flight with a 7pm pick up time that equates to €140, a significant cost for most families. There were some lovely touches, particularly for families. The Halloween disco was a great addition, and the dessert options for children were a thoughtful touch that helped make the holiday enjoyable. The bar and waiting staff also deserve credit for their friendliness and service. Unfortunately, the hotel falls short when it comes to communication and managing the overall guest experience. The main issue was the QR code booking system advertised in the rooms for the à la carte restaurants. The system allows guests to make bookings and sends confirmation messages, giving the impression that reservations are secured. However, there appear to be issues with the system, and guests are not informed of these at check-in. There were no notifications through the app or information in the rooms to make guests aware that bookings made through this service might not be honoured. This became a particularly disappointing issue on the final evening of our holiday. Our group of more than 30 people was celebrating a 50th birthday, and we had booked the à la carte restaurant for our last night, hoping to end the holiday on a special note. Having booked through the hotel’s advertised system and received confirmation, we had every reason to believe the arrangements were in place. Instead, when we arrived at the restaurant, approximately half of our party were turned away and only then informed that there were problems with the booking system. This was incredibly frustrating, particularly as the issue appeared to be well known to guest relations and management, yet no advance warning had been provided and no suitable alternative arrangements had been made. What made the situation more disappointing was the apparent lack of proactive management. A simple notification to guests, clear information at check-in or a clearly advertised alternative booking process could have prevented this situation. Instead, guests are left feeling that they must simply accept missing out on the complimentary à la carte meal included as part of their stay. It was a real shame that this happened on such a special occasion and affected what should have been a memorable final evening. In summary, there were some positives to this hotel, including friendly staff, enjoyable Halloween entertainment and thoughtful touches for children. However, better communication, organisation and customer service from management are needed. Small issues can have a significant impact on a guest’s holiday, and it is disappointing when problems that could have been prevented are allowed to spoil the experience. With a more proactive approach to guest relations and a reliable booking system, the hotel could offer a much better overall experience.
