Delphin Be Resort Lara

Fantastic hotel and fantastic staff

We are currently on holiday with friends. Half of our group are vegetarians. The food options for vegetarians are minimal. The limited vegetarian options (boiled rice…sloppy veg) are mixed with meat dishes which are likely handled with the meat tongs. We headed for the à la carte restaurants today and we were offered falafel and salad (a bowl mainly filled with lettace). For such a huge hotel, catering for vegetarians, it is shockingly bad and the responses for the hotel have fallen below expectations. I don’t think it’s particularly unusual to have vegetarians in this day and age. We still have four nights left!

The hotel was just wonderful. Staff always friendly and helpful. Cleaner in the morning went out of her way to greet us ❤️. Food was just spectacular , no one would go hungry. Always something different each day. Rooms were spacious and always clean. Only thing I would change, would have loved live music in some of the bars. We had bad weather and watched from our balcony a two piece band playing in the wet weather with no one at all sitting. Would have been nice to have them in one of the bars. We had a wonderful time and will be back 😊

We went to the Be Grand at the end of September and beginning of October 2026. Previously we had been to the Delphin Palace for 3 years and wanted a change so chose the Be Grand as we wanted to stay in the Delphin hotels. Pros: - Food was fantastic on the whole and the choice is huge as you would expect from the Delphin chain. We tried most things and all the food was to a high standard. - Drinks were great and branded - you could ask for branded drinks. My favourite cocktail is an Old Fashioned and most of the bars tried to make you one if you showed them the ingredients, so don't always just assume that the cocktails they list are all they will do. - Staff - no issue here. All were friendly and smiled and were polite. I know we were out of the summer season and the hotel was about two thirds full I would guess so they had more time for customer service. - Cleanliness - everywhere was clean and cleaned constantly. I wen to the gym early most mornings and they were even in there cleaning the machines. - Other guests - the guests at the hotel come from many countries and there were no issues at all. There were several international football matches on whilst we were there and they had all the games on multiple screens in the Irish Bar and no issues at all. - Room - we were in a sea view loft room on the 8th floor so the room is probably a little smaller that other due to the shape of the room. It was great for two of us and was cleaned every day. - Reception - I have seen a few negative reviews of the people on reception but we had no issue and the guy who checked us in took ages to tell us about the hotel and where to go, etc. Cons: - Lunchtime - whilst the food was great, the choice of food at lunchtime around the pools is always the same (unless you go up to the main restaurant). The difference with the Palace was stark as they have the pizza/pasta/kebabs but they also have the pool restaurant that serves a smaller version of the main restaurant that provides the variety of food. I don't eat pizza so by the end of the holiday I had, had enough of kebabs, pasta and bbq meat to last me a lifetime. There should be some fish somewhere or some of the meals served in the main restaurant. - The Hotel - there are a few things that need sorting out. The waterfall over the heated pool wasn't working and I believe hasn't worked for a year. There is a fountain under the stairs in reception that doesn't look at though it has worked for a while. There are cracked tiles around the whole resort that need replacing. Some of the doors to the exterior are open by holding your hand up to a sensor and a couple of these were missing covers and one of them had wires hanging out of it. - Evening entertainment - we don't go to the big shows but enjoy live music in the evening. There was always live music in the 'bowl' at the top of the hotel, but who wants to sit in a dark bowl with very few other people? Everybody was sat on the chairs at the top and they need a small stage there in front of the bar. The other live music was in the beach bar but only happen sporadically and in the 10 days we were there, we only saw two acts. Again, the Palace has live music every night. Overall, even though the weather wasn't great for the whole time we were there, we enjoyed the holiday and the hotel, but a few improvements would give it the 5 stars. In saying that, I will always return to a Delphin hotel for all the positive reasons listed so the things I list wouldn't put me off returning. Going to try the Diva or Imperial next year.

We have just come back from an amazing stay at Delphin Be Grand, and honestly, everything was kept to such a high standard — from the rooms and food to the pools, entertainment and, most importantly, the staff. We had such a wonderful experience and definitely hope to come back! ❤️ Food & Main Restaurant The main restaurant was absolutely fantastic. The choice of food from morning until evening was HUGE, and there was something for absolutely everyone. The choice for little ones was exceptional as well as for adults. They even have baby food available, plus pretty much everything you could need if you prefer to prepare food yourself — including a microwave and some equipment for making/blending food. There was honestly so much choice that it was difficult to even remember everything we tried! Bars & Drinks We spent quite a lot of time at the Relax Bar, especially in between everything else, and the staff there were amazing. The atmosphere was so lovely, everyone was friendly, smiling and always happy to help. The drinks were wonderful — from coffee and tea to alcoholic drinks, cocktails and shots. There was such a huge choice! It’s difficult to remember all the staff members’ names, but every single one of them was absolutely brilliant. Thank you for looking after us! ❤️ The Aqua Bar was amazing too. Great drinks, and they also served food at certain times, including ice creams and waffles. Everything was fantastic. Lobby bar Amazing staff and drinks ! Thank you ☺️ And the other bars were just as good! You really are never far away from food or drinks. Food Everywhere! One of the things we loved most was how much food was available around the hotel. You could find everything from hot dogs, fries, ice cream, waffles and pizza to fresh healthy food, meat, kebabs, pasta, seafood and so much more. There was honestly too much to remember! 😂 And it’s all right there while you’re enjoying the pool or spending time by the sea. Wherever you are, you’ll find something nearby. At some point you get to the stage where you think, “I really don’t want to eat or drink anything else!” 😂 Pools There are lots of different pools, but for us the children’s pool was the most important — and I was pleasantly surprised. The kids’ pool is heated, has lots of slides and a huge area, with something suitable for smaller children as well as slightly bigger ones. There is absolutely no chance of the kids getting bored! There is also an outdoor heated pool, which was great. We didn’t try some of the other pools because we were always with our little one and spent most of our time around the children’s areas, but they all looked fantastic. There is also a quieter pool area where children aren’t allowed, which I personally think is a great idea because everyone has different preferences when it comes to holidays. There were plenty of sunbeds everywhere and we never had any problems getting towels. The staff around the pools were also fantastic. You never had to walk far to find someone if you needed anything. On some days there were different daytime shows and activities for around two hours, with lots of food, drinks, sweets, popcorn, candy floss and more. It was brilliant! Rooms & Cleanliness Our room was great and the cleaning service was good too — absolutely no complaints from us. But I especially want to give a HUGE shout-out to the cleaning staff. I don’t think people always notice how much hard work they do, but everywhere was spotless — the toilets, inside areas, outside areas, around the pools, roads, bars… absolutely everywhere. They are doing an amazing job, and probably one of the hardest jobs in the whole hotel. Thank you so much! ❤️ Guest Relations Guest Relations were fantastic too. Everyone we spoke to was so helpful and happy to assist with anything we needed. The staff throughout the whole hotel were honestly one of the highlights of our stay. Whether it was with children or adults, everyone was smiling, friendly, chatty and helpful. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was just lovely. À La Carte Restaurants There is also a great choice of à la carte restaurants. Some are included and there are also options available for an additional charge if you would like to try them. Our favourite was definitely the Mexican restaurant! Thank you to everyone there for such a lovely experience! Kids’ Entertainment For us, the children’s entertainment was another huge plus. The Luna Park was amazing! The kids’ playground was fantastic, the kids’ club was great, and the staff were brilliant. The evening entertainment was also excellent, both for children and adults. And I especially loved the Gala Night — what a wonderful show! There was always something going on, so you really don’t have to worry about keeping children entertained. Outside the Hotel Just outside the hotel you have a pharmacy and plenty of shops if you’re the kind of person who likes to get out and explore a little bit around the resort. Final Thoughts I really hope I haven’t forgotten anyone, but there is honestly SO much to mention that it’s difficult to remember everything! From the food and drinks, to the pools, entertainment, cleanliness and, most importantly, the incredible staff — everything was just amazing. Delphin Be Grand gave us such a wonderful experience and so many good memories. A massive thank you to every single person working there. You all made our holiday so enjoyable, and we truly appreciate all the hard work you put in. We definitely will be coming back and I honestly cannot recommend this hotel enough! ❤️🇹🇷 Thank you, Delphin Be Grand, for such a fantastic holiday!
