Hotel Eftalia Village

Hotel facilities were good. Good selection of food on offer but it was just ok, nothing fantastic. Staff friendly, rooms clean but very small. Evening entertainment was good. Slides at kids pool are great. Few things that was annoying, kids pool bar closes an hour before kids pool closed so had to go to walk to the other end of resort to get a drink. Slides only open 5 hours a day. Extra charge for orange juice at breakfast.

We are currently here at Eftali village for a 10 days family holiday. We didn't land until 9pm, it was difficult to find our transfer bus as this was not sign posted and there were 100s of people around. It was a 2 hour transfer to the hotel and got to the hotel at around 11:45pm. We was told at first they didn't have a room spare for us as the hotel was fully booked, despite booking it a year ago! Then they offered us an upgrade to their new hotel sol where everything was 24/hours. They wanted £200 per room. We said no. We then waited another half hour to be taken to our rooms to find we were in different blocks yet we booked rooms next door to each other. The hotel itself is big, with shops on site like clothes, bags, shoes, all your pool essentials etc however, very costly. The all-inclusive drinks are for beer, wine only. You have to pay between 9-12 € for cocktails, and you have to pay for spirits such as vodka, Malibu etc. the food is average, the same old stuff everyday. Breakfast is contental as it's a Muslim country so you won't find bacon or sausages at the hotel breakfast. I didn't go to breakfast as for me it was boring. Lunch again the same stuff, salads, some hot foods but depends what you like. Snack bar runs from 2-4 and ice creams like their version of feasts which melt as soon as you open it lol 😂 Dinner again was average, they did a theme night every day, again depends on what you like. Around the pool was ok, kids pool very busy and closed twice with no reason. Very loud screaming kids, so if you want to chill go to the main pool but it's very deep or go to the small adult only pool. They played water games daily like pool yoga, water polo etc. They do have loud music on every day, a lot of it is the same upbeat music which is ok if you like that kind of thing, but if you want to relax then maybe that pool isn't for you. Eftalia island is good, again very busy daily. They did do a really good foam party on the beach which is on every Tuesday and Fri from 3pm. Again very loud upbeat music, good fun for all, foam stings your eyes though lol 😂 On Saturday evenings they did a beach party, we didn't stay as our daughter was extremely tired. It was ok, again same upbeat music and with lots of offensive language 🙈 I'm not sure why but I got a really bad stomach on our 8th day. Felt really sick and had diarrhea for 2 days. I did hear that this hotel had sickness bugs from previous reviews but you never think it would happen to you! The weather was extremely hot 36° to 40° everyday which you can't complain as we have too much cold weather in the UK . But for some it's too hot. If you want to go out be prepared to get hounded by the shops owners. If you go in one then keep pestering you to buy something. We went to the market, that was awful. They were haggling you and you couldn't look at anything. My son wanted one perfume and the guy convinced him to buy 5 for 100€ he didn't give him the money thankfully but we said we didn't want it and he still continued to sell it. Absolutely ridiculous and their all fake lol 😂 Apart from being ill, the food average the place was ok. I did like our beds being made daily with some sort of character they made with towels. The cleaners work really hard and deserved tips. Overall would I come again probably not, would I recommend it....not sure...it depends what your looking for.

Brilliant hotel for all the family, clean. Animation team brilliant always something to do for everyone. Loved the shows at night. Burak was so friendly always up for a laugh with everyone. Great fun!

Worst hotel I've stayed in Turkey and I have stayed at several. To start, the rooms. There are several bits of mold that are in my room. The balcony is medium at most. Onto the staff. The cleaner we had was brilliant and always cleaned the room to a perfect standard. However, some cleaners can be lazy and will do the bare minimum at most. The bar staff have been rude multiple times and I heard one bar staff mocking a lady. The waiters are only good if they are tipped. You may encounter the occassional good one. The food is bland at best and the same everynight. The island does not live up to what it claims to be. The food court has hard burgers and dry chicken. In the main restaurant, you have to line up at 18:30 to even get a table. I arrived to dinner late and no tables were available. The amphitheathre is packed with no room to move around. It claims to be 'All Inclusive' then you get people in your face asking you to buy an overpriced cocktail. There are no slip mats around the pool. I have seen a number of instances of people falling over and breaking their bones. Don't ignore bad reviews and avoid this place at all costs.
