Hotel Side Star Elegance

We have just returned from a weeks stay with our family. Overall the Elegance is a nice hotel. Lots of steps, so if your mobility is not good would think again. Pros- Rooms a spacious, clean, mini bar filled. Food - overall food ok. We only managed to book 1 al a carte and that was the Chinese. The food amd service was excellent there. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Restaurant food ok the adults never struggles but think hotel coukd do with a children's section on the restaurant. Timeout bar - this is the 24 bar where you can also get snacks - pizza burgers soup etc. Food plentiful but service a little hit and miss. You can also eat during the day at pool var and Fiscus beach restaurant. There is also a pancake/waffle, pizza/pide and baked potato and hotdogs stations. So your never going to go hungry. Vogue bar is by the lobby. Duden Bar was a nice place to sit. They had a singer on at night. Which was aimed more for other nationalities than English Pool - main pool was absolutely freezing but very clean. There is also adult pool which i thought was a little soulless. There is also a couple of pools beside reception one is slightly heated. Weatger wasnt great a few days so iur grandchildren used the indoor pool, which again was very cold. Entertainment- nothing much going on at all. One afternoon the Entertainment team did a couple if dances around the pool. But honestly have seen better Entertainment at lower starred hotels. No children's entertainment apart from mono disco. Which was 2 of the ET doing the usual dances with the kids. Staff- our maid was really good. Couple at the pool bar, timeout bar & Vogue ok. But found sone if the staff quite miserable and rude sometimes. All that being said we would visit if we got it at a bargain price.

Just got back from a 7 day stay here. Hotel is nice, food ok, nothing special. A la carte restaurants were lovely. Some staff not very friendly. There are far too many cats at the hotel, they are literally everywhere. We cudnt get out of our hotel room one day as one just sat outside and tried to get in everytime we tried to open the door. My son also got scratched by one and has had to seek medical attention since been home as he has contracted ring worm because of it and a temperature. That's not hygienic to let cats stroll inside the hotels. I would like to know how well looked after these cats are as in injections and sterile. For that reason only I would not return to this hotel.

Another memorable holiday during the October fest celebration which happened to fall on our wedding anniversary. The barbeque at lunch was exceptionally generous and was followed in the evening with a party by the pool.. We visited this hotel several years ago and now go nowhere else. This hotel gives you everything you could want from a holiday. Excellent food with choices to satisfy everyone. Entertainment after dinner in several areas around the hotel so you are spoilt for choice. What really sets this hotel above many is the quality of the staff from gardeners to housekeeping, entertainment to guest relations ,reception to management all have one purpose to ensure guests have a memorable holiday. Lovely hotel, lovely food can’t fault it at all, staff are all great!

Fantastic hotel with amazing views of the bay, staff are very friendly and welcoming nothing too much trouble nice 20min walk to side along a lovely beach promenade, would definitely recommend this hotel.
