Hotel Side Sun

Just back from the Side Sun. Went with a friend and our 2 children. The children loved the slides, beach, ice cream, Turkish bath but most importantly the animation team! They went out of their way to make our holiday fun. They had a range of activites to get us all involved. Special mention to Morgan, she really went the extra mile to make sure we all had a brilliant holiday. The children saw her and many of the others in the team as a friend and were upset to leave! All the staff throughout the hotel were friendly and hard working. The bar staff Aydin and Duge were always helpful. Thank you everyone!

We spent a week in Side Sun hotel. Very nice staff, good food and the room is very clean. Location is also a plus, since the beach is just behind the hotel, with a great beach restaurant. Can highly recommend this hotel!

First of all, this was my 3rd vacation in Turkey, and unfortunately the most dissapointing. If you are looking for hotel, where you would like to enjoy occasionally nightlife, forget about this one. Location 5/5: Great, the biggest plus of this hotel. Close to beach, close to Side either by bus or walk as well (expect approx. 1 hour walk) , close to restaurants - caffes and shoping possibilities outside hotel (<10min walk). Airport is about 1 hour drive. Hotel 4/5: Smaller, nicely furnished hotel with beautiful reception and lobby bar, main restaurant, a la carte restaurant, pool bar and beach bar & restaurant, and disco. You can find there also Spa and Indoor pool and also you get beach towels there. After arrival to hotel around midnight we were quickly checked in by the receptionist, who as minority could speak english. We received a beach bag for towels which was very complimentary. Small beach with sunbed always available (by the pools always taken in the morning). The sea was amazing, always clean as well as beach. Big plus of this hotel. Rooms 4/5: We have booked Standard Double room, what we get was smaller than standard we were used to but still big enough for 2 people, in the front of the hotel with view over the pool and sea. It seemed to us that our room was bigger than others and had the most convenient view. Other rooms at the sides had view either to next hotel which was basically balcony-to-balcony view or view on the other apartments hotel. Nothing spectacular. So we were quite happy with our room. It consisted of bed, which in our case were twin beds put together, not really double bed, TV, minibar with drinks, but only mineral water and pure water were free. There was an electric kettle and coffee/tea set which was very delightful. The safe was paid, but we didnt use it and there was no problem. Bathroom was nice, with big shower, hair dryer. Balcony had chair, table and dryer for clothes. Air conditioning worked perfectly. The cleaning of the room was daily, with change of towels, basic cleaning and every 2-3 days change of sheets. The cleaning lady was nice, she arranged the bed with flowers etc. There was a WIFI in the room for free, which worked good, on the reception better. Rooms was nice, there is nothing really to complain about. Food 3/5: There was food from the morning till the evening, at the main restaurant or on the beach. The food was generally good, a lot of choices for breakfast, lunch was weak in the restaurant there were usually leftovers from dinner and on the beach there was basically still the same food with little change. Dinner were rich, plenty of choices if you are not picky. Grilled fish, meat, meatballs, pasta, vegetables, salads etc. I really loved the cakes there. I was dissapointed that breakfast after 9:30 were quite poor, only what was left from the main breakfast time. We found food quite repetetive, however, we always found something to eat. But it was not the best all inclusive we experienced in Turkey. However, big plus was coffee time at the beach restaurant with different cookies and cakes, as well waffle/donut hour was the best. Beach restaurant worked from 12-3/4 pm and there was basic offer of meals, cakes, salads, a lot of fruits. What I missed was turkish tea on the beach? Only at the reception and main restaurant.. Staff 3/5: Generally nice people, however, with very limited english. No one was talking to us except 2 waiters as we were not German/Turkish speaking as majority of guests. We didnt have any problem, nor the positive experience. Animation and fun in hotel 1/5: Well, that was a disaster. I could write a novel about that. Daily activities OK. Evening programme was either dance show, or comedy show which we didnt watch as we didnt understant anything as it was in German language. or there was pop star night or something like that and the musical night, which were basically same and boring. The beach and garden party was horrible. The beach party was supposed to be with foam, but the machine broke, DJ packed his stuff and left after playing 20 mins of horrible songs. Same wth garden party, to play only Turkish folklore songs or german disco hits ´, people leaving after 30 min. The live singer in hotel 1x in 2 weeks, she was making as asleep with the choice of songs. Disco in the hotel didnt work, except 1x and there was no one. So basically in 2 weeks, we had evening fun once in Side. The evening animation program ended usually around 22:30. Overall experience 3,5/5 : Hotel is nice for families with kids, older people, or for people who are not seeking any nightlife hotel. We are not party animals at all, but we were looking for some dance time on vacation, unfortunately, we didnt get it. Otherwise, we expected a LOT because its ranked as one of the best hotels also here and on other sites, but we dont get why. But the Beach and Sea are really great.

7 days all inclusive. Fantastic food, great location. Amazing service and friendly staff . Could not have asked for more. Great location , short walk to the beach and their own sun loungers. Would reccommend this - we are going back !

We had a room for 3 people, but the room was really small. The room was daily cleaned, but not so rigorously. Sometimes weren't handtowels changed. Food was delicious, but every day the same. Staff at the reception can good english, german language. Animation team was active. The beach was close to the hotel. WC near the beach really dirty, I haven't seen it somewhere before. Beachboy takes away soon at the afternoon mattresses from the sunbeds. Situation of this hotel is really good, too many shopping opportunities. The most of guest are from Germany and Turkey, but the hotel prefers Germans.
