Hotel Villa Side

A warning to travellers coming to this hotel - the staff speak very, very limited English. That's not their fault obviously but it states on here and their own website that they speak English. Most didn't understand us asking for a coffee; take a crash course in German before you go! The location is great for catching the dolmus (bus) to various locations. The bus stops on either side of the road and all locations are printed on the side (if you can read them as they speed past). Take one to visit the old town and the ruins. all around the hotel are shops, shops, and more shops selling fake clothing or magnets. The hotel itself is kept clean by the hard working cleaning team who always said hello and kept the fridge stocked. We had one swan made out of towels one day! Each room has air-con, fridge stocking water, and a safe. Maybe it was the time that we were staying (first week of April) and the weather (thunderstorms) but there was zero entertainment here. Once the weather improved there was darts, yoga and boules near the hotel's section of beach. There was no entertainment around the pool and the evening entertainment consisted of a guy strutting in each evening and putting a playlist on, then he strutted back out again. I asked the reception one evening if we needed to go to the sister hotel over the road but was told " No, no, no we have our own team". It just never materialised. Because of this and the language barrier it lacked an atmosphere for me but it may be different if you are able to communicate with others. Overall it was a nice hotel with a few really minor details to improve on.

I am in the middle of my stay at Villa Side Hotel, as I extended my stay from 1 to 2 weeks because it is a very nice place 😊 The most value is in the quality of hotel Team: young, nice, open, helpful The hotel area is quite limited to the pool space, but a shot walk leads you to a clean beach with a very nice space by the sea with a nice bar. The hotel itself offers nice rooms, all around is shiny clean, lobby bar 24/7 open, few swimming pools including slides for kids. The food is mostly based on one-pot dishes which I really love. Wide choice of salads, fresh vegetables and fruit The serving Team are very busy and hardworking to meet the guests expectations. What I would add to the comfort is a small kettle to make tee/coffee in the room. All-in-all I love this place and wish to express my thanks to All, especially to the waiters: Dilan and Ali and bartenders Safine and Talha for their superb service ❣️ I honestly recommend this place

We stayed 11 days in this hotel. 2 adults and 2 kids (4 years and 1 year). Our impressions are very mixed. First at all I would say tis hotel has Germans in the first place. Most guest are germans. If you don't speak german waiters don't pay attention about you. Most of them don't speak English at all. Some of them understand but don't know to answear. No of them smile! Even maid who doesn't understant at all was much more pleasant and simpathetic than waiters. So sad. Secondly the food. There is great selection BUT most of the food in hotel restaurant is some kind of "one pot" (beef or lamb meat with vegetable or potatoes cooked in one pot etc). Grilled meat and fish is good idea but in this amount of guests poor lady didn't have a chance to make meat well done. Desserts with wilted fruits. Both our kids unfortunately vomited and had diarrhea even we payed extra attention what they ate ( no fruits, no ice cream, no ice in drinks, no well done meat and fish, eggs etc). Adults didn't feel well as well but thankfully better than kids. Now somethink possitive. Hotel has great location. Just 3 minutes walk to clean sandy beach with sunbeds and parasol. You can use golfcar to go down the street. Nice fun for kids or elderly people. Swimming pool is clean, good temperature with enought sunbeds, little kids pool and 2 slides for kids (works 4 hours per day). Rooms are perfectly cleaned daily, even water in minibar is gratis every day - good job. Airco worked without problem. Animation program by the hotel is again made just for Germans - bingo, german retro songs etc but it is ok I didn't expect more. But animation program in bigger sister hotel Villa residence is amazing and we recommend it! In the end I would say don't expect much if you don't speak german and you dont give tips to waiters nobody cares about you. If your stomach is sensitive - we really recommend you choose diferent hotel. We travel a lot (with or without kids) and I normally don't write reviews but here I had to. We used to work in hotels abroad as waiters as well and we have different expectation from 4star hotel (about food quality and waiters behaviour).

We spent 3 days at the Villa Side hotel. I was a bit anxious as there weren’t any recent reviews. We couldn’t fault our time there. It is a smallish hotel compared to some of the monstrosities that line the beach if Side, and so it is very peaceful and sedate - music at night was good. They had entertainment but we were happy with the pool side music after dinner. It is only a short walk down to the beach, and we loved the structure over the water. The food was excellent, great variety and they were able to cater for her allergies - she is 21 and said it was the best buffet she’d ever had because she could eat a lot of it! The rooms were also good, in fact the shower had the best water pressure I’ve come across in a hotel for a long time!

Villa Side disaster We have stayed in villa side hotel in july 2021. I was coming this hotel for 9 years, but this year or after pandemi the management staff has changed totally and they forgot everything even cleaning or even meals are not as before. I will never come back to this hotel again, this summer is the last summer and will not come again. During this holiday; - I found two times hair in the meal, which was really disgusting - Management is totally rude to the guests, only care about the money - Nobody wear mask in the hotel lobby or in the restaurant or in crowded locations - Lights on the stairs are not working, the hotel is totally dark during evening, look ugly, humble and ancient - Hotel is totally old and didn't get renovated for decades, walls, bathrooms are in bad conditions - Cost performance is very very weak, not worth to price - Room carpets are stinky, antalya is not suitable and humid for carpets, since the hotel is old, carpets should be renovated Up to this year, the hotel was seems ok, but after this new management change, the hotel is totally in the no-go list (i will never come back) for me for my family and my friends. I hope nobody had experience like we did this summer.
